Downloading Songs/Video Youtube Downloader Program Without Malware?

 have a main laptop and a chromebook. Chromebook is for web browsing and sites.



My main laptop, i use it for everything else. The thing is back then i would download songs and videos from youtube using that ytd video downloader... but last time i tried to do this... it did not work. I would save these songs and videos on my main computer and would also transfer these songs/videos to my iphone to listen using itunes.
 

 

But for some reason, ytd doesn't seem to work when i copy link to download from youtube to it. Can someone tell me why this doesn't work? Do i need to download or upgrade it? I assume its still free to do this right as i assume most ppl who put songs on their iphone do that?

 

 

Does anyone have a program that is malware/virus free where i could use where i download the songs and videos and can save them to my windows 10 computer and of course transfer them to my iphone?

You are not quite clear about what you want but I guess downloading youtube video is your prime concern.

I use xdm (extreme download manager) which is available for Linux, windows and Mac and is completely free and open source.

They provide high speed download and grabs links from youtube and other sites effectively.

YTD was one of the popular YouTube video downloader, but they have stopped there services as per I see. I use to use it often as it even had features to download songs as MP3 and much more.

But one can find a number of alternative to it with similar features intrigated. A simple Google search would give you many results even websites to download it directly to your device.

You can use the above site to download any video from youtube with various video quality which is not an application so there is no chance for any malicious virus affects your device.

Youtube-dl is still the best downloader there is.

youtube-dl is a command-line program to download videos from YouTube.com and a few more sites. It requires the Python interpreter, version 2.6, 2.7, or 3.2+, and it is not platform specific. It should work on your Unix box, on Windows or on macOS. It is released to the public domain, which means you can modify it, redistribute it or use it however you like.

And it happens to also work with these sites.

You just copy the url, give it you youtube-dl in a console and it will do its best to get the best quality audio and video. IF you want a specific video or audio format (or only either) you then add some command line options in front of the url.

Why can't everyone appreciate the beauty of the command line interface? It frees time to developers to do the things that matter, such as making sure the thing still works everytime youtube changes something.

Did you know that Google rudely removed all youtube downloaders from Chrome's add ons? They used to exist, but not anymore...

Most downloaders out there are really really bad. And i don't think you should be willingly be giving your viewing habits to third parties (its bad enough that Google has them). This is the real thing, and its free and open source, no ads, no tricks, no third party servers.

Did you know this beauty can download whole playlists and channels? Oh but there is more, so much more...

Hi.  Im asking what program can i download on my main computer... which i do everything important on such as have crypto wallets and everything...  Like i want to transfer songs/videos from it to my itunes to my iphone.

i think in effort to fight against copyright,youtube have introduce lot of changes and this has affected most of these program used for download & converting youtube video's.

However, you can try clipconverter  cc. it's still working uptil date.

NOTE : this will not convert & download any video with music. you need to check a good alternative . internet download manager (IDM)

You are not convinced to download the files online itself with the link I provided?

It is going to download the videos you want directly in the format you wanted and then move it to iPhone or any device which supports that codec.

I believe YouTube Nowadays has strict policy and system that happens in the videos downloaded their site.

So in many cases we are safe in malware attack , Though i can feel OP because he posted this years back when malware attacking is really happening in many sides.

That's the issue that I'm saying about some other videos. But it works, try to find another video because it might work with those.

Or try to look for another music video that you also like to download into mp3/mp4. Don't download any software, only download the mp3/mp4 file that you're converting.

It's been a long time since I've used that website.

But to know if that's working or not, you can have it a try. I cannot try it for now since I don't have videos to download.

You can use Internet Download Manager to download songs/video from Youtube and other websites easily. The software is not free, but that is worth to have it for your download manager.

I do not use other software than IDM because that helps me to download from the sources.

@jerry0, have you tried yt1s.com? I've used it to download YT videos without any issues or malware.

For songs, I go for ytmp3.cc. No software required, both are direct.

No i never used that.  Again i only used youtube downloader program a while back but then stopped using it because it ask me to do update which i never did.


I want to use a program that for sure has no malware/keylogger on it.  Whether its free or it cost money... i dont mind.  But obviously not one that charges you a monthly fee etc.


Again i want to download songs/videos on youtube and put it on my laptop so i could play that music or watch videos while on my computer and on my iphone without relying on youtube etc.  Like back then i downloaded lot of songs on youtube downloader and then converted it to right format and sent it to itunes on my windows computer to my iphone etc.
