Hi guys  Smiley
I need your help as I am not very technical. I am fed up with this FIAT-world, and would like to go almost all-crypto, from not only being an investor, but also using bitcoin on a daily basis.

First of all I am not an entrepreneur, so I have no company or so. Just a normal individual.
If someone is accepting cryptocurrencies it is easy, just a wallet and I can always make a crypto payment. If I am the one to be paid, if the other person is willing to pay in crypto then there would be no problem as well.

However most of the times people want to pay and accept only FIAT. The long way would be accept FIAT and convert it into bitcoin.
So what I want is to pay others with Bitcoin (even if they want FIAT) and receive payments in bitcoin (even if the second party is using FIAT). So let’s say I am giving some bank account number and it gets automatically converted into BTC. Some payment processor with conversion possibility and link to bank account / credit card. I am not sure how to solve it technically. Are there maybe easy applications for that?

I am from Poland, so this could be important, as it should be working for PLN.
Thanks for your help.
PS. I care about privacy, but easy-to-use is also important. Ideally on my iPhone.

I don't know of such a service and it would actually may be difficult to set up because of the KYC various services are asking for (although with Changelly it may be possible to be made, but there are "minimum amount" limitations).

If one would want to transfer to you directly Bitcoin he would have to buy it which in most cases means KYC.
Also keep in mind that such a setup may end up with unnecessarily big fees.

If nobody else gives any better idea, one direction could be via a Bitcoin debit card with IBAN.
+ They use to have mobile apps, you can find such a service
 - You'll have to convert by hand Bitcoin to fiat or fiat to Bitcoin
+ You do the conversion in the mobile app
+ You do the conversion only when you need it, you can keep "buffer money"
+ The app should notify you when funds come in or go out
 - The wallet will be custodian (not your keys, also sending out Bitcoin is more expensive than from your own wallet)
 - It's not recommended to keep big amounts of fiat on such cards (but this should be no problem for you)
+ The conversion rates and the use fees for those cards are ... not nice. Also you'll face extra Forex fees in most fiat operations.
 - Money transfer (SEPA or whatever) from out these associated accounts is not the most reliable
+ You can pay in shops like with any VISA/MasterCard or withdraw (although bad fees and limits) as long as you have fiat on the cards

However, the choice of cards is not great also, so I will not actually recommend any.

Thanks!
However I can feel that you are not exited about such solution, and I agree with that.
Because you still are trapped in the VISA/MasterCard system.

Maybe the usability period for crypto is not that far away, as it is nowadays so easy to add crypto payment buttons to your services.
I think the only thing that keeps people away from it is the regulatory uncertainty.

If I understand correctly, systems as BTCPay server facilitate crypto payments, but have nothing in common with FIAT, is that correct?

I find your intention possible but the big hindrance that you could have is the people that surrounds you, they will not prohibit you in using cryptocurrency and bitcoin, but the problem is if they are using it as well. I could be an all out crypto too but I find it difficult to buy simple things in store because they aren't utilizing bitcoin yet, so with that regard, you still need your fiat though, some portion of your money could already be in crypto. This infer that right now, it is impossible to have just only cryptocurrency.

Try to get other people to accept any other fiat currency first and see how that works. I mean, maybe instead of using Euros, tell them to pay you in US dollars and also accept US dollars. That's going to be easier.

If that can be done, then it's just another step to get them to accept and pay in Bitcon (or any other altcoin).

In the meantime, you are forced to use "the long way" and just accept what they pay you, and you pay in what they will accept, then convert to bitcoin for yourself as needed.

If you don't have an issue with KYC then I will recommend Skrill. This is something I have used personally in the past. You can read more about their Debit Card here: https://www.skrill.com/skrill-prepaid-mastercard/
You can pretty much shop for free in shops, restaurants, and online no fees on that. They do have a 10 Euro annual fee and a shitty 1.75% per ATM transaction. You can also exchange your FIAT to BTC on the Go. So that's that. You can use Skrill to accept Online payments so that should cover you there, I feel like Skrill will do the job for you as it checks all of your required boxes.

Great question asked before and I don't think it actually exists, to be honest. There are standalone solutions (specific crypto and specific Point of Sale or POS platforms) that allow you to receive everything in THEIR crypto while people still swipe their cards and pay fiat. But that's still as someone points out, getting trapped within the VISA/MC/credit card system.

It is still much simpler to have a normal fiat account (since people will still as you say, want to pay in fiat), and then you just set your account to periodically exchange your balance into Bitcoin.

I would look at things like crypto.com (formerly Monaco) and then look at their competitors. It's still not ideal I would say as it's again another layer but that's as good as it gets now if you insist on converting all fiat to crypto when you get paid.

Why the hassle though? Why not get better rates and better management simply by making regular manual BTC purchases with fiat?

You can use neteller or skrill accounts to convert your bitcoin to any fiat currency as your wish for withdrawal of your fiat money from those accounts to your bank account or you use prepaid cards services get money in ATMs for that they will charge some fee. but you have to do KYC to get full benifits from those accounts.

Thank you guys, really amazing.
And I know what my options are now, basically the only alternative is a crypto debit card which works on the Visa/MC system, with additional fees and often no access to private keys for the crypto coins.

So buwaytress is probably right, it's simpler to convert the FIAT into crypto for the time being, and pay with crypto directly, whenever and whereever it is possible.
Otherwise I will end up paying unncessary fees for convertion. I think we are not that far away from a greater number of crypto-friendly services, recently booking.com added crypto payments (although I haven't discovered it on their website yet, but articles were there), so others should follow soon.

You could also exchange back into FIAT only the amount you will need to spend, and keep most of your bitcoin as savings. If you are earning in fiat, i guess you could exchange a part of it into Bitcoin and leave the other part for expenses.

This is the problem with the transition, the waste of time and fees exchanging fiat to bitcoin, and bitcoin to fiat. Payment processors merely do that for you, and for that you have to pay their fees. But if you are earning in bitcoin, things like that Skrill card can be very useful in exceptional situations.

And do not underestimate the idea of being your own bank. It is both a blessing and a responsibility. Learn how to properly manage your wallets, have a savings cold wallet and a "change" daily use wallet, etc. Then enjoy the world of a bankless life.

~snip~

Just incase that you are looking for a list of bitcoin debit/credit card you can check this list below.

it seems that only two card services that you can use in your country either Wirex or Paycent which is worldwide.

Just don't use revolut they don't let you send your Bitcoin to other wallet or take your bitcoin out from revolut wallet.

You should try https://cryptopay.me, you can open a Bitcoin prepaid card. They said on their homepage that "Convert BTC into USD, EUR or GBP, send bitcoins to friends, withdraw at ATMs and shop anywhere with cards."
