I always think that bitconnect scam was the biggest in crypto space until i heard about one coin, a Ponzi scheme that defraud investors approximately $4 billion around the globe and one coin ceo have been missing since 2017, we really need to be very careful where w invest our hard earned cash, when a offer is too good to be true there is always more that met the eye

I remember people calling one coin the bitcoin killer, lol 😆 oh i hate centralized coins, the fact is there was no coin mined, no blockchain, nothing, I have never seen anything like it, any coin that claims to kill bitcoin is red flag lol,

One coin was a year before then bitconect. One coin organisers are being trailed now, that means Bitconect organisers will get trailed next year. Law works slow. MtGox was trailed only last year I believe and it happened in 2014.

The scams are everywhere, we should not fall the investment platform which gives high return, just like PlusToken seems this year is the biggest scam of 2019.

I know a lot of people who managed to make very good money on the ONE coin. The fact is that before investing your money in such projects, you need to understand whether you are doing this on time and assess your risks. At Bitconnect, too many people were able to make good money also. I do not say that these scam projects are good, but I believe that everyone should assess the risks of the project.

It's true that many people make good money off bitconnect and one coin, those who did have a plan to invest for short term only which is a good way of investing on new coins generally but there is really no way to know that they will exist scam

Its hard to believe any project in cryptocurrency until some strong regulations come into pictures. Projects even running successfully for some months are turning into scams. There is long list and still counting.Cryptocurrencies have high volatile nature so only an amount should be invested which one can afford to lose. Any big coin can shrink anytime, always invest safely.

Not new type of scam accusation here in this industry. Some people might call it a blessing after getting the most of it while the other call it hell after being devastated. I've seen some positive whatabouts with these and I knew there will be a negative since the market is a pure speculation and manipulation. The one who did lost are new comers and investors on that coin, there is no doubt about that, the risk should be assessed from the start and be knowledgeable on what it could bring to you.

Bitconnect is a very well-known case, In 2019 we have another huge scam project, Plustoken, its negative impact is still affecting the market at the present time. Another similar project, Cloud Token, has just been investigated by Chinese police.

There's also the hex scam now that guarantees profit for their investors. I think it's able to make a lot of money from those blind followers. They all think that the owner of it is telling the truth which promised those returns and sign of passive income.

It's plustoken that's also one of the biggest fraud ever which has embezzled billions of dollars too.

Yes, I totally agree with you, bro, for now Bitcoin remains the most popular coin with the number one trading volume in the world. But it does not rule out the possibility that altcoin can outperform bitcoin in the future, because the world of cryptocurrency cannot be predicted with certainty.

a coin that claims to kill bitcoin is just a marketing strategy not a red flag in my opinion

How much they have made from bitconnect is not worth with how much money that already scammed by bitconnect scammer. I have seen it was scamming multibillion worth of the bitconnect and that's a really huge amount. Maybe, there is an assumption if that is not the real amount of money caused by that was just the valuation of bitconnect based on the CMC.
Just try to take short term investment to the new coins are better choice than bet it on the long term. If that was not having good fundamental and it can turn to the scam project.
A scam project is always starting from loosing its credibility.

A friend once told me about it, but right there and then, I became seriously in doubt of it. I am just trying to imagine what the fate of the investors that lost huge money would be. This has really shown that so many people do not knows what cryptocurrency truly is, let alone understanding blockchain technology.

passive income is usually one of the common grounds of most scammers. if you do believe that you will get your income throughout your lifetime from their business model, not only think twice but many times. because theres no such project that can give you passive on your lifetime. and most of them are running ponzi scheme, so if you are behind the trail, you wont even get your initial investments.
i guess by now crypto users have had their share of losses from these failed projects so we are more smart now in approaching these blockchain projects....

I wasn't involved in this project, but I read about it. Unfortunately, scam can overtake us at any time and this situation only confirms it.

If you have been in the forum in 2017, you will see a lot of members calling Bitconnect months prior to their exit. But many individuals still defend them and didn't believed those scam investigators and proof of their scams. Just sad to hear those victims though after the exit scam.

And then we have PlusToken exit scam, around $3 billion. So it looks like every year, there will be something big being born, but it the end they will simply exit scam in the billions of dollars. PlusToken Effect: Alleged Asian Exit Scam to Blame for Market Decline?

Now we have a cue, when a dev of any project calls his project the next Bitcoin or Bitcoin killer, we can conclude that it's another huge scam site coming, great projects are not into the hype, they have a solid foundation on their project and their platform has real usage for the community, it's easy to support, projects like this.

Onecoin is more mainstream than bitconnect, it seems. But certainly in terms of the reputation that scams have gotten, bitconnect is one of the main ones still to this day.

The reason why these ponzis are so effective in scamming people is because people get sucked into the illusion, and have incentive to tell other people lies in order to gain referral earnings on their part. This is what made the schemes spread like wildfire.

Youtubers like Trevon James played big roles in perpetuating lies.

Actually this one is also active in social media  backthen , you can see many people advertising this program before. Since they promise is the price will always increase many people believing it  ,actually its really happen the price is always increase. but the problem is after they confirm that this investment is fraud the price dump too much in just a day.
And its too late for investors to sell the coins they invested.

There are legitimate projects that also offers the same passive income but looking how they earn those returns they give, it's actually coming from their source which is a legitimate business. Unlike projects like this, they are just creating promises without anything to show to the public what is that legitimate business that can generate profits to share for their investors.

But today, we can figure them out if they are a ponzi, a hyip or legit project that promises decent profit for their investors.
