As we know, price of a product in market is influenced by fundamentals and public sentiment.

Based from fundamental. Ripple teams are filled with qualified personnel in each their sectors. Their Promotion and marketing activities have been running on a large scale since 2017.

However, sentiments that already formed inside crypto community minds, afaik, state that :
1. Ripple is not crypto. Because most of token allocation is still held by dev team.
2. As per the announcement they made in 2017, escrow process will be completed around mid 2020.

Based on those two things, crypto community trust in ripple are still low. And it's affect xrp price. With current downtrend situation, i think it will be very difficult for xrp to back to $500.

In my opinion, their hardest job while waiting escrow full completed is gaining communities trust.

Indeed, Ripple still has not shown the best results even though there have been several large investments, but the price is still low, I am still not captivated by Ripple because as seen from the chart, the price continues to fall, meaning that I still cannot trust Ripple as a promising investment.

Its nothing new about it was the same status in the last year december 2018 when the most of the cryptocurrency was experiencing a massive dump of its price and valuation, one of the many reasons is maybe the investors got panicked for the left and right negativity that hovering around the crypto space and off course the holidays, investors needs money for the holidays that's why selling some of its XRP holdings is just normal thing at this time. There are so many platforms that offering more fatures and advantages than ripple. XRP does not really strike me well as a aggressive competitor but its price is really that lower than what I expected it to be now. Hopefully, things with Ripple can work out soon or else it might actually fall from the ranks. Nothing can replace bitcoin for sure and neither any coin can gain the same strength and potential as bitcoin has. Good altcoins follow bitcoin obediently even if they try to compete it. The fact that the whole digital coin market actually depends on only one coin will be never changed. Ripple is a trustworthy altcoin but there are better altcoins available too and bitcoin should be the first choice of all investors.

We have our own way of how we are analyzing the situation of the market especially with the coins that we are holding. On the past few months I am also holding a lot of XRP or ripples in which I am hoping a heavy increase or pumping on it before the year ends in which it is not happen so it is probably the time in which I stop on holding ripple and sell it anyway so that to avoid my losses, because as we can see right now the situation of the ripple in the market cap is very down and it is kind of long that it is not increasing, so I decided to sell it in my own good way. As of the moment, Ripple's (XRP) price is still below $1 but still I do hope for a good run to come for this cryptocurrency this year 2020 since it have a good start this year having an increase on its price compare to what it have way back the year 2019. Most ripple I think is used for withdrawals from exchanges or daily trading. for long-term investment, I think investors will think of other assets that can be more profitable. as you say when viewed from the growth chart ripple does not have a pretty good condition.
