There are so many scam new ANNs with virus wallet these months

such as:  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5212363.0

Most of them posted by new accounts, and they have the same features:

Way 1:  Copy the old success altcoins' ANNs and post a new one. All the same info  but insert a fake virus wallet.

Way 2:  Creat a new github project, upload the fake virus binary wallet , then post a new ANN in the forum.

 - For the github scam, most of them have no source codes.
 - Have no official websites,  have no social groups
 - Or they even creat a one-page scam site, and creat a discord group but nobody can speak!

All of them been proved as scam and virus!

So there is any effective way to prevent this happenning again?

(sorry for my English:))

We can't prevent them from posting virus and malwares but you can help in getting their posts deleted by reporting in this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5182222.0 You can post warnings in the scammers thread while waiting for the mods to delete them.

Yes. We cannot prevent them from posting new ANNs. Even the account got red-trust, they can make another account and post another ANNs.

Correct. There are 2 possible ways:
1. Report to Lafu's thread that handles something like malware and suspicious links. I think you also can report virus link there.
2. Use "Report to moderator" feature to report the ANN to the moderator. Comment: ANN contains virus/malware link. So, the moderator knows about it directly.

You can post warnings in the scammers thread
Exactly. OP seems already did it, mate. So, he is already in the right way related to this way.

Prevent them from posting... NO. Prevent users from falling for this scam... YES. By getting infected and losing all their crypto. Hey, didn't say it would be a free lesson! Once you pay for something you remember it and are more likely to use it in the future.

The free tips are always the same: do your own research, use only open source, compile the wallet yourself, check user feedback/post history, check github account etc.
I am shoked at the number of posts "win wallet pls" after a few others in red and bold with "VIRUS, DO NOT DOWNLOAD". I guess it's a darwinistic behaviour, natural selection and whatnot. Hope not Idiocracy...

You should be checking out my other thread too https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5167236.msg51891741#msg51891741 !

At the moment there is no other way as just remind new and other users to check the links and watch out what they download .

I looking every day to catch threads and posts like that and i am now over an half year on this .

Always looking first before you download anything and check it 2 times .

Thanks for reporting it to my thread and let me know.
