In what wallet you have sent those? if it is an exchange, you may contact them through ticket support and tell them what you have done. Is that bitcoin address yours or it is owned by another person?
Some exchanges will help you to reclaim it but I've read that there are others that don't.

I am using Coinbase and the person who sent me the Bitcoin address too is using Coinbase. It's owned by another person but it is known to me and he obviously hasn't received the payment.

Send a ticket explaining what happened, send also a link to the transfer browser and all that, maybe they will give you an answer.

Since that guy is also using coinbase and the only way for you to re-claim your bitcoincash to create a ticket support to the coinbase. if the address that already used by that guy is coming from the personal wallet that he can get the privatekey and it can be claimed easily. But since it was controlled by coinbase and the coinbase itself can fix this problem to access your BCH. Just create more and more ticket.

Is the amount that you've send is big or small. If it is just few dollars take it as a learning to double check before making a transaction. Right now the only way possible is to get the support from the team. Though the exchange is centralized, you confirm to make the transaction through 2FA which will be shown as a proof. Also once you open a ticket the receiving end will also be enquired, if he did not admit it as a money from unknown person the chances of receiving it back is low.

Ticket support was a sort of failure since it wasn't attended by their admins promptly. Telegram support or any other chat support will be helpful instead of having ticket request. This is not real time, and it took more days before you've been given any further actions. Definitely a help will be accommodated at delayed response.

The recipient, who is the receiver, definitely cannot own the private key and if he does, under normal circumstance, most especially for personal wallets, it cannot be retrieved, but since they are both on the same ecosystem, which is Coinbase, the support of Coinbase should be able to fix it. . Although, in some cases, some exchanges might charge some fees to fix that. The OP should just contact them and wait for response from them. If they do not respond on time, do not give up, you just keep contacting them, but pls, do not use any other means that is not recommended by Coinbase, aside creating a support ticket, because you might get scammed if care is not taken. Once again, do not give up.

That is good news, Coinbase is known for handling this kind of issue. As I have told you, contact them thru support ticket and ask them politely to retrieve those coins.

What happens if I send Bitcoin Cash to a Bitcoin address?
At this time, Coinbase has already credited accounts who received any BCH at their existing BTC addresses. Going forward, we cannot guarantee that funds will be properly credited when one asset is sent to the address of a different asset. Please make sure that you only send funds to the specific deposit address displayed in your Coinbase account for the asset you are sending. You can view a list of these addresses, or create a new one, by visiting this page.
If you have sent BCH to an external address that was used only for BTC, you will need to obtain the private keys for that address and import them into a BCH wallet in order to access the funds stored there. Coinbase does not support the importing of private keys.

How can I find my Bitcoin cash that I accidentally sent to a Bitcoin address through Coinbase? The transaction shows completed, but it never got there.I am sorry, but it is almost impossible to get the fund back because the wallet belongs to exchange. AFAIK, it will be possible to send back coins through private keys, but it is impossible for you to reach the private key.

I want to transfer my bch to an external wallet and enter btc wallet there. I was panicked, but then I searched for related articles and it turned out that I was not lost. It turns out that my bch is still not there as long as I have the bitcoin private key wallet.

Ideally, you should contact support and create a support ticket, They will help you solve the problem as quickly as possible. I used to make the same mistake as you but I contacted binance and everything was solved within 3 days, hopefully you will solve this problem quickly and be more careful in the future

You should be careful in sending assets in Coinbase and check the correct wallet address after sending it, maybe this has already been sent to someone else's Coinbase wallet so the first way is to send support to Coinbase so that it can be helped faster, if this problem cannot be resolved through ticket support then You have to erase it because it's your fault.

If you write down the wrong address, it is non-refundable and there is no guarantee for it after the transaction is confirmed. if indeed the address you write is owned by someone, try to contact that person to prove that he received from you and tell him to return it to you and give him a reward for it. but if the error does not go to anyone, chances are your assets cannot be returned.

You are just going to receive the same answer over and over again. Thankfully you are using an exchange with good services. So I bet they will just be looking for proofs from you and then they could create a report about it.
You might really get it back since you sent it to a different blockchain. Yes, the process will be a success but still it will be stuck in the exchange. Good for you.
