altcoin has just been released and the difficulty level is still low so you can mine the altcoin using your VGA, usually I use VGA to mine the newly released Altcoin of course depending on the supported algo, try going to this discussion to get information about mining in full, I only know how to mine with Nvidia with Algo Scrypt

Mining is expensive method to create income but mining in red market is not wise decision. People will give many advice, such as bitcoin, eth and ltc but when red market will destroy big profit you have. I'll not stop you for mining but analyze again because built your own rig in warehouse/ garage is the best solution for miner. You need total in mining world, down trend still running and only rig can give you income.

If you have interest in others coin than you can do Ethereum mining because after Ethereum 2.0 only support proof of staking.

There are different algorithm followed by coins and their mining process too differs.
Ethereum is the most profitable coin right now to mine and is effectively mined by gaming grade GPUs while SHA256 based coins like bitcoin and scrypt based coins like Litecoin are best mined by their dedicated mining hardware.

You can check the ones you can mine in coinmarketcap.com, the ones with (*) are the ones you can not mine. They however didn't put (*) to the coins that you can stake.

There's no other option besides the popular GPU mining but you can try if you want to the CPU mining. There's also the consensus of proof of storage and do the research what it is all about.  The most profitable coins are always the ones that are very popular.

It should be cryptonight coins. I don't even think if you can be very profitable when you are mining another coin just like ethereum or something else as the block halving has made it becomes less and less profitable to be mined. It's better to choose the best coin that is still having small total hashrate and low difficulty rather than try your chance on the big coins. that will only waste a lot of your time.

Better to mine PoS coins for now. My advice mining Staking is not too complicated for beginners, you just research the coins that have the potential and go to exchange. PoW mining for now is almost unprofitable, it also needs a GPU that synchronizes with the coins you are mining, electricity also needs to be noticed so that you can get the maximum profit. For BTC, LTC, ETH mining, only special mining companies can get the maximum profit, if you want to mine the coins that I call 6-12 GPUs, I don't think you will get anything.
It is true that mining newly released coins is indeed profitable if the price is quite stable.

I think Ethereum is still the most profitable altcoin for mining, but if you start now you should calculate when you will get return on investment because if buy equipment and all stuff and pay for electricity much then is on other countries you will start make profit after some months.

Even though the price of ethereum is down, there are still many who believe in it, so that altcoin is worth investing in, moreover ethereum remains firm in the second position on coin.marketcap. choosing altcoin can bring in bigger profits, but it has a big risk as well

I think mining is not affected by the laws of the country, no country actually bans mining. But the cost of mining in each country is different because the price of electricity and mining cost are different. I still prefer mining because it helps us to have a more stable income than trading and margin
