Google banned ETH wallet and metamask android client on Playstore

I think Google is not entirely against cryptocurrency, more like they're making a safe steps by doing thing this. And based on the article, Google claiming metamask due to violation of google's financial services policies. Even the problem with youtube which was deleting crypto related videos, it was because of mistake on their part.

I don't know if this a sign of Google showing something against cryptocurrenty or not, but if it does proven that metamask really did broke their policies, nothing could be done though.

I think google base companies like youtube or google playstore have been targeting crypto, because of youtube has been removed hundreds of videos related crypto without any notices and now google playstore banned one of best ETH wallet metamask really we do not know what is the reason behind it to take an action like that from google. maybe the Google artificial intelligence system think crypto is not safe?

I don't think it's worth enough to trust their decisions, because this could be some bad moves for other group who spreads FUD. Hopefully there's something that could support the idea before it's too late, most users like me was very much affected. This fears my asset being enlisted with google browser add on, it might be not safe nowadays.

Right there is no official reason why Google is blocking Metamask, I think there must be a fundamental reason for that, and maybe also a misunderstanding that can be resolved by deliberation. basically of course google will be open to technological developments

It's not really a big deal since we can still access metamask on various browsers including Google Chrome. This shouldn't stir up any negativity, they already stated their reason for the ban. On PC I still access metamask on Chrome and brave, while on mobile I access it on Firefox.

It's their right to make opinions if they are seeing negative things with this apps. Like you, we should move forward since it's only being ba need from Google app store but with desktop it's still working normally. People who are using metamask and eth wallet from apps store can still proceed and use the desktop and continue enjoying the service of this wallets.

Perhaps this is also a mistake like youtube, I believe that metamask is safe enough for anyone to use and there is no reason why google can block it. Hopefully in the next few days they will fix this mistake just like youtube did, also in my mind I was thinking that someone is trying to sabotage and stop the development of cryptocurrencies, but I believe that block will never succeed.

Metamask extension in chrome will be fine even if they banned it from the chrome store you could simply download it from their own official website and the chrome store for extension is bloated with garbage extensions anyway even there are some that trying to disguise as metamask wallet but different thing if it's banned from playstore which where most of the people are downloading it from. However, there are many alternatives that are safe so I guess it'll be fine.

This is the affect of too many scam project that use ethereum platform . Google do his move to reduce the victim of too many scam project right now. For me this is good but it will give negative affect in the market of ETH and expect decrease of the price that will happen any time soon.

Oops, I do think that Google has every reason to take such decision since it is based on Google's financial policy and not security issue. There are tons of other wallets to get dirty with but I would recommend switching to atomic wallet if anyone looking to download one. this is indeed negative news which in my opinion is quite surprising. or too much if Google does that. Does Google not see the potential of the crypto market in the future? like Facebook which once blocked crypto advertising. and finally, they want and are interested in making their crypto. this should not have happened to ethereum.

It's mind boggling really why they have done this.

But honestly, shouldn't be too surprising given the fact that historically, google's attitude towards these types of issues aren't that positive. When you look at the ad bans against crypto you sort of realize that google doesn't have the most positive outlook for cryptos whatsoever.

They could be banning so many faucets and scam apps out there on their play store right now, but no. They choose to ban something that is completely innocent instead.

First Youtube removes all crypto related videos and now Google removes Metamask.
It won't be too late until google starts removing crypto related things from all of it's products.

I think its a bad sign for cryptocurrency industry, first its Youtube now its Playstore as we all know that Google has own these two important services. It seems that they are trying to slow down the cryptocurrency advances in some other ways by cutting its vital access to the traditional and useful services like Youtube and Playstore im not sure if how long it will be implemented, But i check today in Playstore it seems other ETH wallet application and most of cryptocurrency wallet app was still downloadable on Playstore. if Google was after on all crypto related apps it should be all that has affected by now but its not. I think it's only a mistake on the Google reviewers side. let's hope it was only a mistake and not intended.

I think google is already bothered in scam and fraud cases so they do to banned eth wallet and metamask. They are big institution and company so they don't want to be involved on that kind of issues about crypto. In my own opinion that is the reason why youtube also remove all videos and blog that connected to crypto.

That's really a good move for them, for sure that they are also receiving a lot of complaints from the users, it's good way that they are protecting their name as well as the security of the users, so there's no problem with that, for sure that they know what they are doing, so let's just respect it.

Google has banned Ethereum (ETH) wallet and decentralized app (DApp) browser Metamask’s android client from its Play app store.

They are banning it because of the policy that they do not want mining on mobile, is metamask a miner, I doubt it is,  and why now metamask has been in Playstore ever since, I don't know why Google is in the crackdown now, they cannot crack down something that is unstoppable, Cryptocurrency is the future.

we really have to appreciate it, because every decision is definitely not approved in full by the community. but unfortunately, such a good platform must be eliminated because its use requires the platform to make it easier. but as long as the decision is made we must respect it
