we can not blame them completely, they wanted to protect their users from the crypto scammer. they are so many reports happening about someone hacking their asset from their mobile wallet, reports from users made them think it should be better to ban crypto-related app on their playstore because it can protect their users from hacker or scammer.

There are already questions raised against these steps that are disadvantageous to cryptocurrency. But at the end of the day, Google is its own company that sets its own rules. Therefore, it will implement whatever rule or policy it has. If in the future it decides to change its rule a little to accommodate the growing demand for crypto-related videos or applications, for as long as these videos and applications are not scams, it may do so. And I hope it is the exact way Google will decide to take.

It looks like if this is all caused by the fraud that already happened before, google was removing the whole things related to the cryptocurrency that still available on its platforms. I just take this still related to the ban hammed that already issued by youtube to all of crypto related videos.
We must make own way by use alternative platform.

As far as I think it's because their App didn't kept a warning which warned users that day are doing such things at their own responsibility and the maker doesn't knows that if Cryptocurrencies are legal in their country or not. Apparently, Google is not against cryptocurrency, but is taking certain steps in that direction to avoid problems in those countries where Google officially operates.  We know that in many countries cryptocurrency is not recognized as legal and therefore this situation can create certain problems for google.  Based on this, a situation may occur where Google avoids the problem.  But I don’t understand why, then, Google allows you to place various kinds of Android applications on the Play Market that use different cryptocurrencies, sometimes even without enough authority among cryptocurrency users.  Perhaps there is some corporate interest here and apparently the Google administration should conduct certain negotiations with the Ethereum team.

Not sure why this is happening all of a sudden. I have heard that Youtube is removing videos related to ICOs and other crypto projects. YouTube is also owned by google and I guess all these are connected and has something to do with them going against crypto currencies. At least they know why they got removed from play store. I guess google updated their playstore terms of service and meta mask ended up breaking google plays financial service policy. Hope everything gets resolved soon.

These issues might continue to expand and will cause some implications on some people of this industry. But as long as we can still use metamask in Chrome and other browsers, it could still thrive. Though the removal of the app seems to be a cocky move for me. If somehow even the plugins will be affected of these issues, other browsers might follow or remain the same, causing another rivalry in the browser preferences.

Perhaps this is also a mistake like youtube, I believe that metamask is safe enough for anyone to use and there is no reason why google can block it. Metamask extension in chrome will be fine even if they banned it from the chrome store you could simply download it from their own official website and the chrome store for extension is bloated with garbage extensions anyway even there are some that trying to disguise as metamask wallet but different thing if it's banned from playstore which where most of the people are downloading it from. However, there are many alternatives that are safe so I guess it'll be fine.

Google is showing signs of authoritarian decisions of late. Price manipulation by blocking a few videos and metamask? Highly unlikely. This is a far-out idea. This is not to create FUD either as the incident was only involving a few videos and a single app. And Google does not have a coin or token to promote so there is no connection at all. Google has always been a very very "anti-crypto" company, as far as I remember even 3 years ago there was problems with putting up crypto related adwords, I just wanted to promote my website and did some marketing and the hardest company to work with was google for sure, thankfully I don't have my website anymore and sold it but it was so bad I literally warned the buyer of my website to be careful about google ads because if you do one thing wrong you will be gone and nobody really wants that.

This is possible. But I think they have always been screening apps admitted on Google Playstore. Not every app can enter there because it has to be checked for possible virus injections. If they have violated something they should fix it in order to proceed with their plan without any problem. I would be love to use metamask using my android phone so I am hoping that whatever is the hurdle of their launch they can fix it.

There's no point in discussing this matter now, as Google already reinstated the said app in the store from what I've read in the news. The only issue I see with this is that google playstore has been the major channel through which most Metamast users get their apps. If care is not taken, a lot of folks might be misled into using unauthorized Metamast apps, which could result in loss of fund. It is better we should be careful at this point.
Also. there are so many suspicious apps on playstore, that google ought o remove, but it seems they are not so concerned about that.
