YouTube is becoming pure cancer and is on its way to clear evil, messing with Crypto-related content is no "error" from YT.
Don't believe that for a second, this is crowd social engineering at its best. Facebook did the exact same during the ICO craze in 2017, and now they're pushing Libra.
Connect the dots...
YouTube was the last standing (high-scale) social network when it came to freedom of speech, until 2017-2018 when they started to endure political assaults and peer pressure from the Silicon Valley toxic environment of political correctness bullshit, which has become increasingly crazy since Trump's election.
First thing they did was starting demonetizing channels for various reasons, then they went full blown PC and started moderating comments and banning users and channels, they even went as far as censoring "search predictions" which used to be fun and useful, and now barely functions anymore.
I don't know how they did it, but the comments section of YouTube just became pure PC censored bullshit within a year, I can't even call a cunt a cunt when she/he's being a cunt on YouTube.
And that happens a
LOT.
Their recommendations became full mainstream, even Google as a search engine is now barely usable, the results are engineered so badly and so obviously that's it's almost comical, their political agenda is transparent and can be read through video suggestions and search results.
I ended up using DuckDuckGo, not because I care about my data, but because Google does NOT fulfill its mission anymore as far as I'm concerned, as I'm having an increasingly hard time finding the information I'm looking for.
So, yeah, I'm well aware of alternatives, but they have to reach scale and be truly decentralized.
I don't see that happening in the near future, as YouTube and Google still offers way more than necessary for the common user.
On the bright side, people are getting radically fed up with it, to the point that they started blasting automatic weapons at YouTube headquarters.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/YouTube_headquarters_shootingI'm not advocating for physical violence, but that's willing to occur more and more as these companies use increasing levels of symbolic violence and censorship on a daily basis towards billions of users, so yeah.
Live by the sword...
