in filtering videos they certainly have difficulties, if they do it independently then there will be difficulties of course. but I think with the recognition that they do they will further enhance the ways to organize for the future because in fact the video fraud must indeed be eliminated to keep the fraud in the name of crypto.

I am glad this story and misunderstanding was all sort out.

The thing is as YouTube is a professional company that shows how much lack of professionalism the team is missing.
They could have tested the software (a.k.a. their bot) before implementing it and putting it to an active state on the platform.

Nevertheless who knows if they actually did that by mistake or find it hard to accept all those complains and had to revert the situation.

Nothing to see here

maybe they made a mistake on a system that was made, and certainly when a system like BOT must have flaws. if indeed a mistake was made then they also do the wise way also because they apologize for the mistakes made. the most important thing for me crypto is still on YouTube and can provide benefits to the people in it

Despite the apologies, I still think bitcoin video enthusiasts should migrate to decentralised video hosting sites like D tube: https://d.tube/

nice promotion for D-tube, i ahve visit it, and check some video, i see this video

https://d.tube/#!/v/thekitchenfairy/Q7t4wdkEYoI

its just youtube video, framing by d-tube platform.

but other video is pure uploaded in d-tube like this
https://d.tube/#!/v/nevlu123/QmRBo7UT5KSFci184QQcLQmJJran71SY34wjCa2od1o4zy

but i can't play it.

i think youtube still good option right now. becausethe d-tube not a pure decentralization platform.
we need "real decentralization platform" to fight with google

Yeah, that's YT for you. More and more content creators have problems due to the unpredictability of the algorithms.

Thank God youtube had admitted their error in deleting cryptocurrencies related video content when I read those stories I was Little bit worried on the consequences and the way that sole action is going to portray the image of bitcoin and other crytocurrencies in wake of already battered image of bitcoin in some countries, I believed their Backend Administrator should put their heads together to prevent future occurrence of this latest unfortunate development and they effect its going to have on their teeming viewers especially cryptos enthusiasts.

YouTube has reinstated hundreds of crypto-currency related channels after admitting it had removed them "in error".

A wave of YouTubers received notifications that their videos were in breach of the platform's terms of service earlier this week.

The move appeared to target smaller channels and publishers that focused on Bitcoin and crypto-currency content.

The Google-owned video sharing platform has since apologised for the mistake.

YouTube said in a statement that it had "made the wrong call" and confirmed that any content mistakenly removed would be restored.

"With the massive volume of videos on our site, sometimes we make the wrong call," it said.

"When it's brought to our attention that a video has been removed mistakenly, we act quickly to reinstate it."

It said there had been no changes to its polices, and insisted there would be "no penalty" to any channels that were affected by the incident.

Despite the apologies, I still think bitcoin video enthusiasts should migrate to decentralised video hosting sites like D tube: https://d.tube/
Well on dtube the only way to get paid is with the dtube shitcoins which is no where near as much as on youtube. This is due to a fact that different companies can advertise on family friendly content and that is why youtube became so big over the years. As the nature of dtube is that it is decentralized, the same results are impossible to achieve. Decentralization is not a solution to every problem in the world, remember that.

Companies have their own way on how they will improve their service and I think that they really feel sorry about what happen. But you know, Youtube will really help promote bitcoin by just using those videos. D tube is no match in Youtube when it comes to advertisement.

We all know that Youtube is a very large platform. We should not under estimate the most used multimedia website just because it mistakenly shutdown bitcoin. Decentralized??? That isn't helpful.

But atleast they still make room for those bitcoin advertisements that will still help promote bitcoin. I'm certain that Youtube are sincere about what they've done in bitcoin videos because they know that cryptocurrency will also help them in marketing. That's the importance of bitcoin it can help some platforms or maybe country in enhancing its economic state.

After many issue and talk, at least youtube admitted their fault to end the discussion. I feel bad for those who own the channels that was affected by their mistake because I think it's a must to watch some crypto videos when learning about crypto. That's an easier way to learn and if youtube would just deleted everything, how about those people who wants to learn? I just hope that youtube team will fix this kind of problem not to happen again.

What happens to those channels anyway? Would youtube restore them along with their subscribers? They did admit it was an error right? Though never believed it will have an effect in the crypto industry. It's just too bad if some channels will lose the fruits of their work because of youtube's error.

even though YouTube has admitted its mistakes, but we must really continue to pay attention to them, the goal is to keep the crypto channel growing. because of this hopefully there are no more people who are losers, if there are still people who are harmed then we must voice each other and help him

There is nothing to worry about this deletion. YouTube has not deleted all videos related to crypto rather they were around 250 videos. Site https://d.tube is no way a match to YouTube. Just go and search for videos and you will have idea of what that is.

Despite the apologies, I still think bitcoin video enthusiasts should migrate to decentralised video hosting sites

I do agree despite the popularity of Youtube.
About the error though.
I don't think that is really the case here.
There might be some agenda behind this and they are already trying it out.
It is easy to reason out since people will still use their service and it will just be forgotten.

Very likely, they were simply "testing waters". They only stopped for now probably because of the public outcry. But all they need is some excuse, like some law/regulation and they will do it again, and i'm sure they will.

Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely. When you upload content to youtube, they are in charge.

I do not believe in the error theory either, to me this seemed like an attempt to censor those channels and see if they could get away with it, when they found out they could not sweep this under the rug they decided to back down and make it seem like a mistake and apologize about it, I have no doubts this will happen again until they finally can get away with it, so the advice to store that content in other video hosting sites seems like a great idea from my point of view.

I'm not that affected since I am not a video creator on Youtube and I seldom watch videos there but I felt bad for those creators who probably panicked why that happened. Anyway, it is a good thing that they have apologized for the "error" as some would probably just get on without any explanation. I hope everyone's videos will be restored too.

Hmmm. This got me thinking, probably, maybe yes maybe not.

However, being the biggest video streaming platform, I doubt that they don't know the repercussions of their drastic moved. Maybe it was a hasty decision on their part to put a blanket ban and realised that people are going to scream at them and it did. That's why they admit their mistakes for damage control.

We should have our own decentralized one but we can't deny the fact that youtube could really help us promote videos for adoptions since they have a lot of viewers and they are very popular,.. maybe we wills start supporting out own slowly but surely we will be able to compete with youtube.

It is not only for vloggers who are creating a video about crypto, but it is about all of us, crypto users. Most of them are indeed panicked since there is no one who knows what really happened. Even if this is some kind of error, or they really are trying something, the damage is there even if they apologize. Sadly, this incident will be forgotten and youtube can continue to do anything they want again.

Frankly speaking, this is not new. These corporate companies can do anything like this against crypto community. If we try out other platforms where we can freely post our videos or watch it without thinking then we may have a new brand for our self.

But the point why we need youtube basically is because youtube opens up the opportunity for non cryptocurrency users to know and figure out what cryptocurrency is. In relation to this, youtube has comparably higher percentage of attracting market adoption of people in buying crypto. Though, they already admitted their mistakes about banning some videos, we cannot disregard the fact that they are proven now to be truly against cryptocurrency.
