Well ethereum is one project that will keep sailing, no matter what is being done, I think this is time to risk some fiat on ethereum. Moreover the guy needed to sell for fiat, what is the big deal since the development of ethereum, that's a pretty long time.
Is the news really real that he sold his Ethereum? Hope not because it will lose confidence for those Eth lover especially now that the market is not that good compare to those past years. But, if ever it is true, hope that he will do something for his supporters to gain confidence again.

everyone noticed it and there was no secret from the eth co-founder if he sell his eth in this Christmas. no problem at all, eth prices have remained unaffected and have remained at the same prices since last month. so I think news like that will only lead to a FUD.

I think there is nothing wrong with that, everyone also needs funds. If he sells it doesn't mean they left him, because Eth still has Eth stock in his possession
There is nothing wrong with that actually, but it is still has an impact in the market. Everyone needs funds but the way he converted his funds might alarm other holders and it may become the reason for the price to dump more. But anyways, this is also a good chance to buy, and there is nothing to worry about this kind of situation.

But come to think of it, what does it matter if he sell or not afterall it's his and he is free to do as he wants with it and the price of Eth has already come down even before he sold

I can see alot of people saying no big deal about it, but the issue is that if the team is selling out their tokens, why do you expect the investors and community to hold to a project. $11 million for a game project, that is very good. I just hope the game project work or it is just an excuse so that people won't question the motive

Secretly but exposed, personally I don't see anything wrong with it, just that people and media will always escalate things out of proportion and at such spread fear among the Crypto communities

I don't care if he prefers to sell his shares as long as he will still be a part of Ethereum and can still contribute to the growth of Ethereum, that's his share and besides, he already sais why he is selling his coin, maybe his new project can be offered to the Ethereum community.

I don't think we have any reason to make a fuss about this as he owns his own assets just like anybody else and can choose to do it whatever he likes. First of all with the future of Ethereum 2.0 i think it would be cool to grab some of these ETH which are being sold cheaply everyday. Also, i don't think he sold it for the purpose of celebrating Christmas, who knows he needs this money urgently to sort some health bills or family crisis.

Yes it is true it is their own money so I don't think that we have anything to do with it. What if anyother person with a huge crypto on their wallet also sold their crypto in private and with a lower price would we also maoe some news out of it?

Even if this was true, so what.
Long term this is just a drop in the ocean. When you have a decentralised coin the actions of a single person should not impact the wider market any more than in the short run when people are susceptible to panic dumping.
The timing is more likely coincidental than not as well. It's not like he purposefully chose this time of the year just in order to avoid the public eye or anything like that.
It matters a lot, what do you think it will happen if after years of being missing satoshi comebacks to the market with the only intent of selling his coins? I can assure you the market will crash immediately just by the announcement, satoshi will not need to sell one single bitcoin to crash the price, everyone will be wondering why he wants to cash out? Why now? Is there something wrong with bitcoin? And FUD will take over the market. One of the ethereum founders sold a huge stash of coins, that is not a small news and it should bring questions about whether they believe they can maintain the second position in the market.

I bet that many ethereum holders were disappointed upon hearing this news. I'm one of them because I've been one of the people that believes on ethereum but I'm also thinking that there's still hope for this coin, they didn't completely dumped it and took profits. Honestly, I'm giving the benefit of the doubt but if you will analyze and see the box, this can happen for every coin that has a developer. Charlie Lee already did this earlier last 2018 when it was the beginning of 2018 when the altcoins market were shining.

As long as the ethereum foundation keeps the transparency to the whole of ethereum holders and users, that's fine to see that and just try to take a good thing just like ethereum developer is not so greedy as another developer that comes from ripple or even tron. in the tittle of that news said that secretly which can be considered as the word toward FUD.

Yes, I am one of them who feels disappointed. But instead of keeping disappointed, we can see that ethereum is still holding on its position, so I manage to take this as an opportunity to buy and believe in ethereum again. What Charlie Lee did last 2018 is a different matter, that time, we have a good msrket condition and now we're in a bear market that's why it gives an alarming act to all eth holders.

He's actions only be define by himself alone, whatever the reason behind this we are all speculating and none of us can really say if why and what will be the reason why he dumped this numbers of coins from his holding. Nothing but to wait for the actual impact as there's big movements yet inside the market.

It wasn't a secret, and he made no attempt to hide it, which is good. The sale of that amount by itself would not have much effect on the market. The thing that can have an effect is spiralling negativity due to the fact that it is Buterin who sold. Let's hope that doesn't happen, as ETH is one of the best projects out there, with vast potential for real-world use.

For 11Million and you will get fired from the entire company seems a good trade isn't it? Unless the entire Ethereum company will sue a lawsuit to arrest the co-Founder. But if not, it is evident he got the most out of the business. This kind of activity is a direct manifestation of fraud that we, cryptocurrency users should avoid. We aim to develop better applications and projects, and one single mistake will lead us to lose allot of trust from our supporters.

It will have an impact, but if I am not mistaken, this is the number of times the biggest ETH coin holders give up their ETH, I see that it does not have much effect on the market price.

lol funny is he . he did actually say that words ? if he dont want to get noticed then better if he use some kind of eth mixer and that will hide his ass but even if he use those tools people will still notice that price of eth moves in downward position .
anyways , people wont be shock at all to witness this because most of them already did the same thing . most of them already knew that prices of cryptos will likely fall down on these holiday season .

That is his money, why we see it as problem?. Maybe he need fresh fund to develop ethereum or new project that can be use to support ethereum in crypto market. Another reason is he want to save his money because crypto market is unpredictable. We don't need take opinion about his money but his doing to keep running ethereum as the second coin after bitcoin.
