YouTube (a video content sharing platform operated by Google), has recently deleted thousands of cryptocurrency related videos on its platform which outraged the cryptocurrency community.

This has brought the attention to Google (parent company of YouTube) who seems to be creating quite a bit of fear, uncertainty and doubts for cryptocurrency users. Here are some popular Google + 'x' = End of Cryptocurrencies formulas being shared around the web today.

#1 - Google + Quantum Supremacy = End of Crypto?
#2 - Google + CitiGroup = The Beginning of FANG's Financial Industry Game?

Do you agree that Google will do more harm than good to the cryptocurrency industry? or are we just getting the formula wrong here?

It will base on your speculation and belief about google.

IMHO, they are centralized and they will always go against with decentralization. But it doesn't mean that it's them and it's already solved that they have admitted they are wrong base on their algo.

This is the first time in history we can no longer be sure "1984 type" surveillance is around us.

An idea can only be kept a secret if a few people know about it.  They could not hide an alien ship in Hoover dam because too many people and industries would know about it.

But any small secret funded agency could take what we have now and crack modern encryption just by improvements to Quantum technology.  Once that happens, any non-quantum communication will be hack-able and readable.  It would be easy to hide such infrastructure in the open, such as a university.

Not like everything in everyone's life can be recorded with today's tech.  But if someone wants to focus on you, you can't hide anywhere there is technology.

If Google has a Quantum system capable of breaking encryption, they will want that knowledge to spread as slowly as possible.

Well, I think that we should not blame fully Google about taking this decision.
During the last month I have seen a lot of fake channels claiming huge Airdrops of Bitcoin. Google should take some actions about eliminating that and they did eliminate all crypto related channels from Youtube - which is not the right decision of course but it is a temporary measure to stoop the scams.

YouTube has said the decision to ban bitcoin and cryptocurrency videos from its site was an "error" and the removed videos would be reinstated.

"With the massive volume of videos on our site, sometimes we make the wrong call," a YouTube spokesman said. "When it's brought to our attention that a video has been removed mistakenly, we act quickly to reinstate it."

please, who believes deleting hundreds of video was a mistake?

I don't believe it was a mistake. They did it on purpose.
They just didn't expect that so many people will start being against Youtube and their decision. The crypto world has already ardent supporters and this crows should always be taken under consideration.
