YouTube hard never announced any entetion of them creating cryptocurrency not in the future. What happened to their actions was just to clean the shits posted for which looks scamming and some that looks harmful to you tubers. Their actions was a welcome development and should be applaud because it will help them monitor the authenticity of any cryptocurrency contents that will be.posted in their social medias.

The news about facebook which is the Libra coin, it's already on the news and verified that they will but the launching has been delayed for some reasons by the government but as said, they'll be launching for this year. For google and youtube, it's one company and I don't see that they will create their own token, what's the purpose on their part? I can't think of any reason why they have to create a token, it's not an essential need for them and they should be more focusing about their services instead of competing in terms of making a crypto.

Facebook has it seems abandoned their plans to create their own cryptocurrency backed by fiat, however if Google creates their own cryptocurrency that is not backed by fiat then they may be allowed to do that by the governments since they will not be competing directly with them, all of this is speculation but it is possible this could happen in the future since Google is always trying new technologies and I do not see why they may not take their chances in this market.

I think it can happen and of course all internet platforms will continue to create innovations to develop their platforms, including Google and YouTube, which are one of the biggest internet platforms available today, and they could have created their own Cryptocurrency in the future, as I recall, Facebook had once banned advertisements or posts related to Cryptocurrency on their platforms before they announced about the Libra project.

I will answer what I know that Youtube and Google did not launch their own coins and they even had time to reject cryptocurrency ads, and Youtube also recently banned cryptocurrency videos on YouTube.

Do you still remember the time when Facebook announces that they will ban on their platform the ads and the cryptocurrency?
Then they want to launch their own coin which is LIBRA!
Youtube has no trace of having their own coin for now, but we dont know for the future.

YouTube is owned by Google and if ever they will offer a cryptocurrency it will come directly from Google. Google offers a lot of services and I don't think it will create cryptocurrencies differently for each service.

At the moment youtube and google have not announced their own token or coin but in my personal opinion either they will integrate libra or some other crypto into their platforms for sure even if they do not come up with their own token but i think this will not happen in few months but may be after 5 years when crypto adoption will be on the rise for real.

If these popular site would venture cryptocurrency as their mode of payment transactions, particular with advertisements and other miscellaneous expenses; there would be a bigger impact to cryptocurrency economy. This brings brighter future for bitcoin and other following altcoins. Hopefully this won't be a biggest conflict compared with libra, which was so controversial.

Even they haven't said anything yet we shouldn't be close to any possibilities as the crypto market is young and everything could happen in the future.

I am still wondering, if some companies like Facebook were created their own coin. There is also a possibility that Youtube will be interested of making their own cryptocurrency coin, too. Well. I possibly don't really think that YouTube will launched their own coin like Facebook Libra coin because YouTube had started to delete crypto related videos, and they stated that it was all an accident, but i personally think that it was not because only crypto related videos was deleted in YouTube, therefore YouTube or Google will not create their own crypto.

In my opinion, Google might have their own cryptocurrency soon. But this only happen if most governments in this world accept crypto and turn it to legit currency. Currently, i'm think they have already develop new blockchain or something related to crypto, because a tech company will not want to miss this future tech.

As far as question-related to cryptocurrency by YouTube, I think it's possible but not in the near future. First, Google is based out of the US where crypto is not in good condition and second, the Libra coin from Facebook will be a lesson to google to step forward or backward in case its decded.

It's easy to make a difference between centralized and decentralized projects. Companies can choose between making centralized and decentralized coin, but of course centralized coins can be controlled, while with decentralized coins control have totally different meaning.
Big internet companies, like YouTube is, are in a huge problem. New decentralized platforms that offer the same as they do, and addition to that anyone can earn much easier, will overtake them, eventually. I strongly believe that youtube, facebook, twitter, and some others will have the same destiny as myspace, they will be overrun by better ones!

As far as I know I never heard any news that those two companies would create their own cryptocurrencies just like Facebook did. As a matter of fact, those Google used to banned those crypto ads due to the reason that it could potentially harm the users and so did for YouTube. However, there might be a chance for them to create their own if crypto would be legally use across the world.
