I need some suggestions for an Ecommerce plugin that can be easily setup on a website, allows different forms of payments and also lets logged in members to sell items as well. Thoughts and comments are more than welcome. Thanks again.

What is the platform you are looking an ecommerce plugin for? It would also help if we knew what programming languages are you familiar with? Or maybe you're looking for a turnkey SaaS solution?

My apologies wordpress plugin, should've been more specific. Messed around with Woo Commerce but it hasn't given me the full functionality of member usability to sell items. Example you sign into the website and are able to sell items.

WooCommerce is the most popular and easy-to-use WordPress e-comerce plugin with very complex and powerful functionality. It powers more than 30% of all online stores. But, it is not just a web store, it is quite versatile plugin that you can further extend for various other purposes - just like WordPress. If I get it right, you want to create your own marketplace, where you act as the middleman. "WooCommerce Product Vendors" and "WC Vendors Pro" plugins are an excellent solution for that. You can have your vendors manage their own stock and listings, and you get a commission for every sale they make. Another alternative that you can explore is "Dokan Multivendor Marketplace" plugin.

I would like a marketplace where people can buy and sell stuff like an ebay type add on without the bidding option but a bidding option would be kind of a cool add on as well now that i think of it. Does woo commerce offer member selling as well?

An alternative to WooCommerce that you can also explore is EDD (Easy Digital Downloads). It is a WordPress e-commerce plugin made specifically for selling virtual goods, like software, music, ebooks, movies, etc. But it also doesn't have marketplace functionality right out-of-the-box so you'll still need an extra plugin.

Like lets say you come to our site and you sign up/register. You then want to sell some stuff online and since you're a member now you can sell stuff on the website. Is that possible with woo commerce?

Yep! As I stated above, that is possible with the marketplace (multivendor) plugin for WooCommerce. https://wedevs.com/30625/best-woocommerce-multivendor-plugin/

The plugin above is probably not what you're looking for and I'm pretty sure there are none meeting your requirements. If you want your users to be able to buy and sell between each other, you would need to assign a wallet/address for each user and also implement an escrow system, something like Paxful. For that, I would suggest you take a look at BitGo API (it comes with a price). If you find that to be uninteresting, you'll have to run your own node. Either way, you'll have to do some coding (or hire someone).

I have suggested some plugins that will allow him to create marketplace functionality on the WordPress. What type of billing (or escrow) system to implement is a whole different thing. Why, for example, can't he be an escrow for his users?

By definition, an escrow is a financial arrangement in which a third party holds and regulates payment of the funds required for two parties involved in a particular transaction. What is stopping you from being that 'third party'?

Just to be clear so I understand what you want to do... do you want to add crypto as form of payment? Or want to use fiat? Because OmegaStarScream had a few valid ideas but did not see any reaction from you

Help me understand more clearly here, are you trying to say that you are allowing users to pay on an e-commerce website and then make these users have the option to sell some items as well woth that plug-in? Why not just create your website on your own that works as a marketplace where users can make their products available at the same time they can also buy other user's items? Similar to what Ebay is doing. At least in this way you won't have to complicate things as you will be focusing on just your website which I think will be easier for you.

Well is will really depend on you on how you will promote/market your website since any e-commerce website where the customers have what they are looking for will be successful all it takes is you having an audience for it. So after developing a good marketplace website, all your legal papers to operate are complete, and your payment system is ok I think the last thing for you to do is to promote your website so that you can actually have some products being sold in there.

Bidding part really sounds interesting. It would work if you integrate some sort of signed message from the wallet, so you can confirm the user who has access to the wallet has some balance. Or in order to place bid you would need to charge them a simbolic fee (1000 sat) to be able to bid and the users that do not win would get 999 sats back. It is a business after all :p Good luck with the project if you're really serious on starting.
