Quote
Bitcoin will become a bigger concern to regulators at the Treasury Department only after it becomes a truly useful currency. That was the message delivered by David Cohen, under secretary for terrorism and financial intelligence, at a speech on Tuesday morning at Bloomberg headquarters in New York.

It's already very useful.
It depends on what you mean by 'truly useful'.

They mean by Bitcoin having good value (as it does) but they control it.
That's when they throw millions or even billions of ass-wipes called dollars to try and take it down.

Will they succeed?
I doubt it.
It is too late for them to step in now....

Cryptocurrency is to fiat currency what teleportation is to the road.

This teleportation is a new technology, terrifying and dangerous. Very few people are bold enough to be among the first to step inside.

This fact changes nothing, long term. Eventually, no one will bother with the road, as the age of teleporation has dawned.

Remember Aaron Swartz, a 26 year old computer scientist who died defending the free flow of information.

I'd agree, as both teleportation and a non-fiat currency are completely impracticable at this time.
