8pm kick-off tonight, Liverpool playing at home. They have two games in hand, have a 10 point lead... things are looking rosy for Liverpool  

By the end of this evening they could be 13 points ahead of second placed Leicester City and still have a game in hand.

I would have thought 4-0 sounds about right because Liverpool are on fire but if Sheffield United want to get something out the game they will have to attack and hope they score otherwise if they sit back and try to soak up the pressure Liverpool will score goals for fun.

Maybe that can happen because Liverpool's performance is very good so a score of 4 goals can be achieved, but my predictions say otherwise I predict Liverpool vs Sheff United 3-1

After tonight against Sheff United, Liverpool will face a tough opponent Tottenham> Manchester United, I think it will be a more exciting match because the club has been tense in their previous matches.

But many believe that Liverpool will be able to get past all with a perfect victory bringing 3 points.

Despite Sheff Utd playing some very good counter attacking football against Man City they were ultimately brushed aside. Liverpool will have to be wary of this, especially because Liverpool's fullbacks like to push up very high, and often have to race back, and catch up with play. Admittedly it does help that they are incredibly fast full backs.

I don't see Liverpool keeping a clean sheet, but I do see them winning convincingly. I think we'll see Mane, and Firmino on the scoresheet, and it'll end up 4-1.

Even when the front free haven't got their shooting boots on they often score. I took my father to watch Liverpool back last year against Leicester City where we won 2-1. Although, we went down 1-0 just before half time through Vardy. He's been a Liverpool fan all his life, and as it goes that rubbed off onto me from a young age. Well, comparing last year to this year is incredible. Even back in the Rogers day where they came 2nd I always felt we were going to concede, and throw the game in the last 10 minutes. We often fell apart like school kids. This year their composure, and determination to win games is second to none, and its got to the point that if we are struggling I still expect them to find the win anyway.  I remember telling my father that Klopp would change Liverpool, and he hadn't heard of him at the time. Now he thinks hes one of the best managers to ever come into football so not as he got the players believing in themselves, hes got the fans who never even heard of him before to love him, and feel a confidence they haven't felt since the 90s.

Your father is right, Klopp is one of the best managers ever but he needs to keep up the successes otherwise he might not be able to cement that view all round.

Well there are many new fans that were born after those great Liverpool teams that were built and rebuilt during the Shankly years in the 60s through to mid 70's with Paisley and to the 80's with Fagan and Dalglish where they absolutely dominated English football and regularly dominated European football for such a long time. Now a whole new generation of Liverpool fans and general football supporters are seeing history being when they had never seen or lived through great periods of football history but only heard of them such as:

- the Manchester United back to back EPL and FA Cup double wins in the early 90's, their treble sucess in 1999 and their glory years under Ferguson
- the Arsenal historic invincible team of 2003–04 which won the EPL by 11 points with a 26 wins and 12 draws record and went a total of 49 consecutive EPL games unbeaten under Wenger
- the historic Liverpool sides of the late great Bob Paisley between 1974–83 where they won back to back European Cups in the late 70's and one in early 80's
- the great Brian Clough and his unlikely but super successful European Cup triumphs with Nottingham Forest in the late 70's
- the way English football teams (Liverpool, Nottingham Forest and Aston Villa) won all 6 European Cups between them during 1976/77 season to 1981/1982 season

There are so many more things to add but the point was Liverpool fans are finally getting the sort of football from the Klopp Liverpool teams that was being played regularly when greats such as Dalglish, Souness, Keegan and Rush were playing when managed by Fagan, Paisley and Shankly. Their 30 year wait to win the EPL just might be coming to an end thanks to Klopp and the players he has working hard for him.

I'd disagree that Klopp has to continue to cement himself as he's already gone on to win the champions league, and truly absorbed himself in the club culture. Maybe I'm a little gun ho, but I would already consider him a legend even if he went onto win nothing else. We've had some mediocre years recently, but that changed almost instantly when he was appointed. I dread the day that Steven Gerrard takes over from Klopp which will probably be 2025. Five more years under Klopp does sound nice though I'll admit, and Gerrard being a legend isn't too doom, and gloom.

That said, if he were to win the first top flight trophy in the premier league era for Liverpool he would certainly be considered by Liverpool fans as a legend to the club. Liverpool do have a tough fixture list coming up, and while there is a gap at the moment if the challengers such as Man City who have a less tough schedule I think dropped points could start rocking the cart. Although, these boys at the moment seem to be focused, and are determined like no other Liverpool team in recent years.

Convincing win, but I honestly was expecting a little more counter attacking from Sheff Utd. Seems with Gomez back in the squad we are starting to pick up a little more clean sheets also. Next few fixtures for Liverpool are going to be the deciding factor I think. Especially, the game against Man United which they always seem to get at least a point from in recent times.

I understand where you are coming from, Klopp is a legend for many but for me a legend would be someone who does much more than what Klopp has achieved for a club the size and stature of Liverpool. In my opinion (not that it matters much) he will need to win at least one EPL to get universal acceptance as a great. For me looking through the record books sitting above all the managers in greatness undoubtedly it Ferguson for obvious reasons. Paisley and Clough followed by several others in the mix but even now I do not consider Guardiola a legend for what he achieved in such a short space of time at Barcelona - maybe decades in to the future his achievements might sink in but right now I cannot give him that status.

Klopp has signed a new contract to extend his stay, if he becomes the first Liverpool manager to win the EPL (30 years after Dalglish last helped them win it) then he will be afar bigger hero than he is right now. I would still be unable to mention him in the same class as Fagan, Paisley and Shankley but others might.

The great thing about Klopp is that he is so energetic, his character has rubbed off on the whole squad and he has shaped the team with a never-lose always-win mentality. Getting Klopp to sign from Borussia Dortmund was a master stroke by the owners but I recall when he first arrived he was being portrayed as someone not better than Rodgers. Thankfully he turned things around and the rest is history being made...

Liverpool do have tricky matches coming this month, if they drop points in just two of those next 4 games and both Manchester City and Leicester City close the gap just slightly then the pressure might be back on with memories of last season still fresh when they had an 8 point lead at Christmas but ended up as runners-up while Manchester City were champions.

It seems interesting to me is Wolves vs Manchester United because this match will be more exciting because fighting over to win the next round, they will reciprocate goals and maybe there will be many goals.
If you predict 2-3 for MU then I am different from you only predict 1-2 for Manchester United.
Maybe betting here will be more exciting and I'll do it.
