You really seem to have a very limited view of what it is a bull run, the last months of 2017 was when the price went crazy and it went up like nothing I have ever seen in my life, but that was the culmination of the bull market, the bull market actually began to manifest itself since 2016 when the previous halving happened and we saw a moderate growth during that year, then this trend continued during the next year as people were expecting if segwit was going to be activated or not.

And it was not until segwit was activated that we saw such an increase in the price of bitcoin that make it news all over the world, so for the time being you should not expect any kind of significant growth coming from bitcoin.

2017 Bullish has also given some learnings. People are too optimistic that that and think that it will continue to soar high in the next year(2018), but the unexpected price drop off surprise a lot and suffering big losses. That was really a huge market disappointment and it helps to open up our mind that not all the time we are on the top, bearish could still exist. These things might also happen this year and that is the reason why I'm not been too much optimistic.

Of course, that the price increase in the first week of the new year is a good sign. However, in my opinion, we should not rely too much on historical data. Halving will definitely be the highlight of this year. However, a lot can happen up to this time. to be honest, I also do the same thing, I always check the price every hour, and do not find anything that changes. but, there are other things to think about, like when we sleep, and check the price, sometimes the price changes significantly. that means, we cannot see that potential every hour, so we can only assume that we currently have a good signal to see the price of bitcoin going up high. the proof, at this time the price of bitcoin began to rise.

Bull run started way back, even prior to 2017. Only that in 2017 there's a lot of positive news that come around pushing the price even further. If you think that we're following a pattern here then it should be in 2021 when the supposedly '4 year cycle' ends. But I wouldn't worry about it though, let the market flow it's normal course and we will see if it will touch another all time high or not.

Bakkt was a good sign for Bitcoin in 2019, but it didn't have any significant effect on the price isn't it? There could be a lot of bull traps/run along the way in 2020, and the only thing we can really do is wait and adjust our trading strategies whether there is a good sign or not.

I don't know what made people think that the bull has come. The price has corrected till $7300 and is testing the support of $6800 time and again which isn't a pretty site for any bull. Though bulls are trying to take price up but are failing miserably. There is a lack of volume and whales who are in accumulation stage are not ready to take up any position.

Always have the same words every time with prediction expert or amateur there always said good sign for market with investing in bitcoin and altcoin, maybe when end of 2018 many people optimist for good sign market in 2019 but what the true bitcoin have down whit lower price and now repeat again whit the same recommendation, why we have sign whit bitcoin and altcoin investment?

It is good that we started the year with going above $7.5k, thats at least some sort of relief that bitcoin will eventually make a difference and go up (or at least shows signs that it can go up) and that is something we direly needed in the past 2 months. It looked as if bitcoin was stagnant and couldn't go up even if it tried and there was a secret barrier that kept bitcoin from going up and whenever price went up there were thousands of bitcoins sold to drop the price again but that all changed very recently.

Price went under $7k just a week or two ago and then it went back up above $7k and that triggered a hype that showed that bitcoin is not going down so we can buy with ease of mind and just either would stay the same or if we are patient enough we could profit, people already made over 5% profits if they bought during those times.

That is an interesting thought, during the previous days the price of bitcoin has gone up very rapidly and many thought this was the bull market we all wanted and the price at the beginning of this day went up as well but now the bears are making a comeback and we may get a negative day instead of a positive one.

If this tendency continues then that would have been the first bull trap of the year and we do not know how many we will have to witness to finally get to see a bull market if we get to see it at all during this year.

The pump right now is still small compare to the pumps before but a progress like this is a must to see in the market.
