So, I assume most of you familiar with the lame facebook cryptocurrency project.

Some background: In January 2018, Facebook announced that it was banning advertising related to cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology. The ban was expansive, and it included Facebook, Instagram, and its Audience Network that sells ads on third-party apps

So, one month before launching Libra, Facebook literally lifted its ban on cryptocurrency ads, demonstrating hypocrisy in its prime. They simply imposed the ban until it directly benefited them.

These companies serve as the gatekeepers of innovation and progress, creating pathways and implementing prohibitions in ways that are worth our attention and consideration. This is especially true for the nascent crypto industry that is continually becoming more popular and is

FB obviously needs a better ad reviewing system with educated reviewers (this is difficult).

Google AdWords is really struggling with this even now - still a crazy amount of fishing sites falsely representing anything from IEOs to hardware wallets.

Since when Facebook lifted ban of cryptocurrency ads? I haven't saw any news about it and I can't find any source which would confirm it. And I haven't saw any cryptocurrency ads on my Facebook feed recently.
EDIT. I haven't noticed link to article initially.
Anyway, should we be surprised about Facebook behaviour? They are just doing what is best for their business. And they don't care it's hipocrisy or no.

They've actually banned most of the ICO ads and other crypto related ads which I used to saw during 2017 to early 2018 and that news came out. It's also connected to what Mark Zuckerberg said during end of 2017 which was known the bull run of bitcoin that he's starting to look at cryptocurrencies.

And as we know the process and result, he's actually on it right now but with minimal announcement coming from him but from his employees and experts.

Anyway, should we be surprised about Facebook behaviour? They are just doing what is best for their business. And they don't care it's hipocrisy or no.
Exactly. It's a strategy of theirs to eliminate the potential competition on their own platform but at least they've became neutral now because they have their upcoming project, Libra.

The banning of ads by Facebook and other social media platforms were purely upon the pressure from the government and a step to popularize libra. This isn't possible to be achieved, because people have known better about the present cryptocurrencies and are used to it. With libra there'll be much faster access and will be much user friendly but the growth factor isn't available as bitcoin.

they probably feel the same way now that Libra is being stopped by the government while France also considering the release of digital currently they planned.  do you think Libra will help the rise of BTC adoption?

If you wanted to find more hypocrisy, Facebook crypto boss: ‘I don’t think of Bitcoin as a currency’.

But I'm not surprised though, those big companies have their intention behind. Facebook/Google, Youtube, everyone of them. So let's see how their Libra will do once they go live.

I don't also think that is the main reason why we experienced a bear market recently.
For me, it is because of price correction of the market after that parabolic run around 2017-2018, that one of the huge and big bull run we experience I think and their lot of new projects popping out before and started the ICO fever.

And for sure, FACEBOOK learned something about those events we experienced that's why they took a stood in cryptocurrency, like banning and now they introduced their own cryptocurrency which is Libra.

I am still curious about what will happen next on their Libra, could Libra help Bitcoin or cryptocurrency be more popular and lure mass adoption?

Well we will have to wait to see what will be the end results of Libra in crypto-sphere.

Up to this point, because are still divided, others saying that it won't put a dent because they are not competitor per se and Libra targets more on the remittances industry. While others say that it will bring crypto or at least the number one crypto closer to the masses. So let's see how it will pan out. Interesting to note though that if ever they go live during a bull run in 2020, it might be a catalyst, just saying.

Don't think the Libra project will come into existence, most of its major partners are already pulling out of their partnership and the senate isn't making it easier for Mark and his project. Supposedly, Libra finally gets launched, I don't still think it'll be of any threat to bitcoin, i mean it's just another stablecoin out there like the like of USDT, etc.

USDT from recent statistics is already been traded than bitcoin but that doesn't mean it'll a threat since they offer different opportunities. Libra can't he used as an investment vehicle and isn't decentralized but bitcoin can and it's decentralized and that'll be the biggest advantage bitcoin will have over Libra. The projects that'll be in danger are stablecoin since Libra will definitely dominate that market.

If they do launch successfully, it won't take long before Facebook Libra exposes themselves of their shady practice like USDT and losses the trust the community will have in them then their patronizers will understand the opportunities bitcoin offers, they'll understand the freedom and control over your finances that bitcoin provides. At the end bitcoin will always triumphant.

With this big company then they would really have that power yet they are capable of.They can ban or unban as they like and also that Libra project is still lit for it to be launched.

Good thing they lift the ban of those crypto ads to spread up crypto adoption and awareness. For now, they dont mind too much with these issues yet pretty sure they were busy on how
they would launched up their own crypto.

We all know the social media site violated privacy act to which they paid billions for it. If they are up to regain those billions they paid, its creating their own coin that will surely make them more money while also running a surveillance network. So the first action to be taken is to ban crypto and then advertise their own coin. In Mark's mind, its a brilliant idea.

They are using market tactics to capture other space. Facebook still has large share of social media user and they might be planning to launch ads service similar to AdSense and they are one step ahead to take crypto space first then other similar services providing company.

With Facebook and Google banning cryptocurrency ads. Is there any affordable ad platform to publish ads for cryptocurrency exchange?

This forum can be the best choice for hosting advertisements, with higher traffic it is not difficult to gain popularity and customers here.
There are also still Twitter ads, most crypto communities use Twitter.

With Facebook and Google banning cryptocurrency ads. Is there any affordable ad platform to publish ads for cryptocurrency exchange?
There is no alternative which would be close to Facebook and Google. There is quote many Bitcoin advertising networks, but you can't reach such big audience compared with these web giants.

There are also still Twitter ads, most crypto communities use Twitter.
I'm not sure, but in past I remember reading about Twitter banning cryptocurrencies ads. So, I don't think it'san alternative.

This forum can be the best choice for hosting advertisements, with higher traffic it is not difficult to gain popularity and customers here.
There are also still Twitter ads, most crypto communities use Twitter.

Many people doing an advertisement here already but we need those platform to spread more especially if we want to hit the global market, And hopefully they will eliminate those up since if this banning issue will continue it can affect on educating the people who doesn't know about crypto and we cannot burst the adoption since we only rotate here if that's the case.

social media sites continue to flag crypto ads but there were other site including social media sites and forums that still allow crypto ads to be posted around them   . this is our another chance or hope to showcase crypto to others in the hopes of increasing the adoption and not just by the purpose of promoting and growing our crypto business   . facebook on the other hand is i think lifted thier ban because i have seen crypto ads recently , that is also to give way to thier own crypto coin  .

The 'ban' never really worked because I still saw reports of people seeing ads promising people 1000% in 30 days, or this or that ICO is going to take over Ethereum, etc. It banished most of the legitimate ads, but scammers as always find a way to circumvent the policies and get their scam ads to become visible.

In fact, it made things worse because when the far majority of the ads left are scam ads, the pool of potential victims falling for them increases significantly due to the legitimate ads no longer being visible. It was bound to be reversed because the whole policy makes shit sense when all you are left with are scam ads while your plan was to get rid of them.

Ah yes, cryptocurrency ads now prohibited and restricted globally. Sadly, Jack is Bitcoin fan and have crypto project.

This forum traffic is quite high, if it's need more widely platform, it must go to the biggest social media which has banned cryptocurrency ads. Another alternative forum is Reddit.
I'm sure those who are interested in cryptocurrency and want to learn more they will look at this forum.
