We have seen support broken at certain levels though, so there's no surprise here. We have been trading sideways @$7-$7.5k, so probably just a break out below that, but I'm sure we will bounce back. I haven't check the news that cause this dump, so let's see if we are heading to $5k or will it head back to $7k.

this might happen soon as there is no sign of bulls. If btc will drop $5k  it will be good cause it will eliminate all the scam projects, projects that is only alive because of thier star founder, but the truth thier project has no use cases just a pump and dump coin.

The price that went down a bit from $7,000 to $6,900 is already a cover to them but it's also them again that will find a reason to attach this motion that we have lately. And another opportunity for those who are saying that they are waiting for bitcoin to go under the price of $7,000. These swings became normal to us so yeah, no longer a surprise.

it looks like whale has come and will take a correction now somehow maybe this condition will attract the attention of the public regarding halving too ,but I would not estimate prices to fall at 5,000 of course there are reasons that other investors might maintain resistance at 6,000-7,000

Am I alone here in not putting any faith whatsoever in these so-called support levels?  They seem like random numbers chosen out of a hat, and I've seen enough instances of prices crashing right through them to realize that they really shouldn't mean much.

So bitcoin started off the new year dipping below $7k, big deal.  It isn't like it was in the $8-9k range previously; bitcoin was at $7200 just a couple of days ago.  No need to (or justification for) start calling out lowball price targets just because of this.  This is just normal market fluctuation, that's all.

There is small marginal drop in the price. This might continue for a short, or it can be just a fluctuation. Just on falling low to $7000 we doesn't need to loose hope that it has begun to dump hard. Even if there happens something likewise it'll easily pump back. From what I see it looks like the market is getting ready for pump to $9000 - $10000.

He might not be one of those fellows but certainly just looking at the glass as half-empty is just one side of the story. Specifically predicting how BTC can be behaving in the next few days is a risky business. As what they are saying, one's opinion is as good as mine. We know that BTC can be an unpredictable beast. I am sure this has not been the first time this happened nor will be the last, so we just have to take a ride with the pullback and enjoy the moment when it is surging. I agree with you op before bitcoin halving day arrives there will be a big dump. and maybe bitcoin will go down to $ 5k. and I also think this is the work of the popes who want to make the price of bitcoin go down and they can buy more at a cheap price. the big bitcoin traders will definitely try to collect more bitcoin so that in the future they get a big profit. we as small peddlers do not need to panic stay and hold until bitcoin bull run again.

Many are hoping for that situation however there is no strong indication that we could go that low. Whenever price goes up or down, some traders can always take advantage. This correction is not different from BTC’s previous behaviour.

BTC drops to 6k again and now people are pessimistic about it jeez. Bitcoin has dropped to 6k few times already last year, 3-4 times Iirc? And it has always made a comeback. The drop always failed to break the major support level and BTC has experienced rises everytime a drop occurs. Id suppose traders are actually just waiting for the 6k drop before buying coins and that's why it has always failed to break that level.

It did stay though? A drop of $100 is really nothing to panic about. Like, really, if Bitcoin suddenly dropped a $1000 dollars, THEN panic. But it seemed to forgot another 0 and has only dropped a bit.

Oh yes, we dropped off from 7.5k and has now went to 6.9k, yes support level now gone yes $5k soon. Really? Ever heard of market fluctuation? Also, were you not on Earth on Nov - Dec 2019? BTC literally dropped to even lowers then but has managed to comeback to 7k and above. There really is nothing weird about that, its just the market moving. What? You expect Bitcoin to always go up? Haven't you stayed here long enough to know that Bitcoin is a volatile market? Just wait. Market should come back to bove 7k sometime sooner. I see absolutely no reason for it to actually drop to $5k, without anything negative happening anw.

I am not sure Bitcoin will go to the low level of $ 5000 because currently it is still $ 7000. It is quite difficult to guess the price of bitcoin right now because the fluctuations continue, this is the initial price with a low price but think positively about the next few weeks we will see a good increase, never mind. do not make speculations about the dump because there will be many people panic about this.
