Former four-weight king Garcia (39-1 30 KOs) makes his debut on DAZN with new promoter Eddie Hearn in the same state of his last outing at AT&T Stadium in Arlington in March in a bid to win World honors at a fifth weight.

Garcia, who turned 32 on Sunday, has now planted his flag in the ground at 147lbs by taking on Vargas, and the popular Californian will aim to make a big statement as he fights in Texas for the tenth time in an already glittering career.

This fight is going to be explosive, but I will be favouring Jessie Vargas here. Jessie Vargas has fought Manny Pacquiao And Tim Bradley so he has the experience and the tools to beat Garcia. And this is the second fight that 'Mikey' at 147 lbs, he hasn't tested this weight class. So Vargas by UD. We will just have to wait what the odds are going to be.

Please edit the title we have no boxer named Garica it should be Garcia, this is the second crack of Garcia in that weight category but he is putting too much on what he can, he is not Pacquiao with good speed and hard punch, he is a technically a good boxer, but with a very experienced Vargas, I don't think he has a chance of beating him, he will overwhelm by Vargas on this fight.

actually for me?it wasnt always the capacity to knock down your opponent but the stamina that sometimes dictates the winner.

we have seen many fights that a knock out puncher losses the game because his opponent can stand strong the whole fight so in the end?it is the scores that matters and not their strong punches.so in this fight?i hold no winner but it is close one,also i am not a fan of both fighhter so i am gonna pass on this fight for betting.

You need to consider this: Garcia is not a natural welterweight, he is not proven on 147 lbs. Most of his knock-outs are in in the lower weights. So you need to be careful here.

While Vargas is a big an natural 147 lbs - 154 lbs. He might not have a knock out punch but he is a decent fighter in that division. He held a belt once, WBO, which Pacquiao took from him in their 2016 fight.

i think it is not being harsh mate,since he is just stating the fact regarding both fighters capacity even that i don't really believe totally about the capacity of vargas as well.

i have seen Vargas in his very difficult fight when he defended his belt way back against the powerful fighter Manny pacquiao and he lose.

I don't understand the odd makers making Garcia the favorite. He last lost a fight against Errol Spence Jr, the first time he had ventured into this shark infested division. And he didn't fair very well as he was outclass by Spence. Vargas is no Spence, but he has the tools to beat Garcia here, quick hands, solid chin and obviously the bigger and natural welterweight, who has been campaigning in this division for many years and even fought the best (Pacquiao).

Though Vargas is the bigger fighter here but i would favor Garcia in this fight for his speed. Experience wise, Vargas has the edge, having fought Manny and Bradley is a feather on his cap though he was on the wrong end. Vargas lack the speed which for me is the vital factor for winning a fight.

As you can see, from Mikey Garcia's record, it is a big factor to look on because of the number of fights he won. That's an strong evidence that he can beat anyone who he fought. Vargas is not enough to beat a 4 times champion. I also watched some fights of Garcia and his opponent really suffer from strong punches after the game. The height is also a factor, although Vargas is taller, Garcia is shorter, we all know that the smaller the quicker.

Garica or Garcia, I think the op will change that sooner as he notice this thread with most comments on spelling. Now, let's discuss about Garcia's capabilities in comparison to Vargas, and just like what happened with pacman during his fights with so many top boxers. He was prejudiced with several analyst that he won't able to make it, but fortunately it was a reversal scenario Manny Pacquiao did it to winning by knock out.
Same with Garcia and Vargas fight, we don't know yet what's the future game so let's see what they've got in the middle of their fight on the ring.
