The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

TERMINOLOGY MATTERS!

prime layer:: coins aka MONEY! (not liquidity of the day)
Benjamin Graham — 'In the short run, the market is a voting machine but in the long run, it is a weighing machine.'

This is BTC, LTC, and perhaps ETH.  Gold, Silver, and Coppers.  The factors are consensus of TX.  Backend, end of the day settlement.  *HINT not cheap, not fast.

secondary layer :: decentralized exchanges aka publishing clearing houses
This is the voting machine itself (NOT the COINs).  The factors are thru-put of TX, and cost to TX for user.  *HINT cheap and fast.

tertiary layer
the DAO.  Agnostic towards platform.  Will migrate to the new NEW platform.

The factors are community/teamwork.  Preformance I/O, investments go in, product/service/goods come out.

level 4
People, SSN identity, but anon and on the chain.  Facebook + Linkin.  Signatures = Authorized.

level 5
Things, iot SKU identity, think wiki++, qualified auditors/inspectors, issue qualified things COA.

(Yes or NO) The 2020s belong to DEXs
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5194868.0;topicseen

When up-and-coming DEXs become more convenient than Binance...

Projects like:

Stakenet
Komodo Atomic DEX
Nash
Blocknet
Bisq
Switcheo
Loopring
IDEX
WAVES
Bithumb
...And many more...

Why would anyone ever want to keep using centralized exchanges, especially when their volume becomes irrelevant?

Why would anyone voluntarily send their funds to a wallet on a vulnerable exchange where they don't own the keys and their funds could be frozen at the drop of a hat?

I think the days of centralized figureheads acting as gatekeepers are numbered.

How to link your financial history to your browser history like an idiot:

1) AMLKYC at Coinbase
2) Connect your bank account
3) Buy BAT token
4) Use Brave browser

OR

3) Collect funds from users in BAT
4) Sell BAT Token on Coinbase (linked to your bank account)

There's a greater need for privacy in cryptocurrencies that is totally non-crime related.

There is, in fact, a non-libertarian, completely ethical reason to use privacy coins.

We give away enough personal metadata that there's simply no need to give any more.
