Investment if made sensibly can give you good returns even during bear market while if done without proper homework may result in loss no matter how good market it. I always suggest do proper research or gather knowledge about crypto before you jump in. Learning the market is very important.

If you're looking for a good profit then you should focus on a long term investment. Short term investment wouldn't work well for you now because of the current market situation. I guess sit would be better if you would invest now and just sell it when the bull run approaches. No one knows when the bull run is but you'll still have an assurance that you will gain a good profit in time.

It will, but not sure when. When you are making an investment, it's not about just profit but think about how long you will hit the ROI and other stuff about your emotional thingy, because those matters rather than solely about profit.

My opinion, yes. I think bitcoin especially at or maybe after halving can increased. Or at least $10000 can be target if people want to buy on this current price. But this is only opinion because before you make investment, you must know risk behind it is lose and you can lose some of your money.

Invest any substantial amount you can afford to lose, at least investing with something around $1k is good. Also, i would encourage long term investment more than short term plans due to the incoming bitcoin halving that is just around the corner.

But I do agree with you, investing with an amount such $1k is a good investment to start, but it would be better if OP will divide it to different altcoins and do not invest all of it to BTC.

In reality, this happens. When a person asks someone if he can invest in bitcoin and you say yes, he'll buy it then. And when the price goes up, you'll get ignored because he's seeing the value of his bitcoin grows. But when the price starts to decrease, he'll get back to you and asks you why the price is going down.

And in summary, he might even blame you for not telling him that there's a tendency that the price would go down. This is the cause why during the bull run many got rekt because they don't understand the fundamentals and lacks of basic knowledge about bitcoin.
