I've toppled with a few online course sites like Coursera and Udemy which offer certificates of completion for the field of Blockchain. I'm aware of a mainstream University called the "University of Nicosia" which is offering a Master's Degree in Blockchain technology. But so far, prominent Universities within the mainstream world haven't offered Blockchain degrees yet. I'm sure that many Universities will start offering this since Blockchain technology is the future of finance. It's no secret that many businesses and companies are seeking talent in Blockchain tech. Having a degree in Blockchain, would allow you to gain recognition within the mainstream world.

Which is why, I'm on the hunt for Universities which are offering Blockchain degrees these days. I'd prefer to take courses online than physically for many obvious reasons. A comprehensive list of Universities offering Blockchain degrees would be helpful. Thanks in advance

I first heard this info, and I hope it really exists. Because it is supposed to blockchain or other related open new sub-classes and also the courses offered must be the whole cryptocurrency and born pure people or figures who were really born from here, not just as a side. It is time for this technology to develop and be noticed, I hope things like that will continue to be noticed and expanded.

Basicaly blockchain its not always for financial , that why china president supporting blockchain technology , blockchain is for future.
Of course , no wonder sooner or later major universities will have a Master's Degree in Blockchain technology.

Well i think in this times we should really consider getting our attention to blockchain, specially those people who are not aware of this kind of system because this will be our future so investing time and money on degrees in blockchain will really give you lots of opportunities and also not many are interested in that so it means more opportunity outside so i hope more countries will consider this and more universities with blockchain degrees will rise.

i have never heard about it. i am pretty sure that there is no such a degree in my country. But what you are talking about is really interesting. It is also benefiticial for all the blockchain and crypto ecosystem.

It is natural that you have never heard of the University of Nicosia and their Masters Degree in Blockchain technology, because blockchain technology universities do not exist in all countries, including in the country I am in.

I have read some of the articles that some colleges in and out of my countries are offering Blockchain Technology as one of their cources in their school. This a bold statements that Blockchain Techonlogy will have an integral part in future ventures of the community. It a sign as well that will see bitcoin goes off in a promising value example that is BITCOIN in IRAN is a high as $29,000 if I am not mistaken.

In my country, many Blockchain learning programs are starting but until now, this program still has very few participants because people do not realize the potential of this technology. I believe that in the next few years, Blockchain will probably apply a lot to our daily life and if you have good knowledge in this field, you will surely easily get a job and have a very high salary.

However, what needs to be done is to apply blockchain to schools and to see this as a compulsory subject because if you do that, people will start to learn more about this field.

I think a whole degree would be useless wouldn't it be? I mean there are software developers in the world who all mostly went to software engineering or computer engineering classes and those people could have like "blockchain 101" and maybe even "blockchain 201" the next semester and finish that? That would make more sense than having a whole 4 year degree honestly, even a 2 year one looks too much, how the hell would you spend 2 whole years, possible around 30 classes each taking 3-4 months about blockchain?

It is just a 10 year old design (blockchain) that still is improving like hell so I think even putting it into software classes would be very dangerous since whatever you are teaching in that class today might be old news by the time you finish with the class.

you must understand that the Studying/implementation of blockchain technologies and cryptography and other technical sciences does not give any guarantees that Bitcoin will be more popular or guarantees that cryptocurrency prices will rise. Technologies can be used without any cryptocurrencies. you should study more deeply what blockchain is and then you will understand that these are different things

Coursera is a very good online university. I took a lot of courses on this platform but they were not connected with the blockchain. if you really found on this site any opportunities to get an online education in the field of blockchain, then I think you can trust them. the question is why do you need all this? if you want to get a good job, then online certificates are not appreciated in the workplace. best to study offline at university

I think that it is not a matter of certificates but of knowledge itself because diplomas may carry little knowledge, but it depends on the institution where you received these diplomas.

I vote for oxford and when you can complet all of the courses and you will get certification if you are a blockchain expert from oxford and i think this will be very helpful. Especially when it comes from the top rated universities just like oxford and so many companies (blockchain) will take it as a big value. 

Oxford is a renowned University within the mainstream world. I'm glad that such a reputable institution is offering Blockchain degrees online at the comfort of your own home. The space is still not mature enough, for us to see experts with widespread recognition worldwide. While degrees are starting to appear, the number of professionals in the space is still relatively low. With an ever-growing demand of Blockchain experts among businesses, and mainstream companies, education will improve like never before in the upcoming years. It's hoped that more Universities start offering Blockchain education within the mainstream world, to contribute in the growth of Blockchain professionals worldwide. Without proper education, there will be lack of experts in the space as we know it.

I know right? 10 years might not seem enough for a person to be called a "Blockchain expert" or "Blockchain professional", as there's still a lot to learn these days. After all, Blockchain is still fairly new to the world. It might seem that Universities offering Blockchain degrees are looking for a quick buck. But believe me, every University does this today. There's nearly a degree for almost anything in life. If there's demand for Blockchain related courses and certifications, then I don't see a reason why these educational institutions should provide such offerings in the first place. Time will tell us whenever the idea of providing Blockchain degrees will be successful or not. We need quality education in order to create talented people with Blockchain skills that would help the space improve for the better.

All I have seen in the nearby local college in my country that is related to cryptocurrency and blockchain technology are few seminars that only tackle the to of the ice berg. It will be great to see a more comprehensive and formal education about it and not just a part of lessons for technology-related courses.

as far as I know in my country there are no universities that provide blockchain majors. but I'm sure if more and more are adopting blockchain technology then universities will open a blockchain majoring. because if blockchain technology is growing we will need people who are experts in the field of blockchin. so I think it really needs a university to establish a blockchain major.

If the demand will rise, I am pretty sure that many universities out there are thinking to launch a degree in blockchain technology because it can bring a good profit in their side especially if they will make it available via online courses. What they are waiting is the timing and the resources in launching this kind of course as it is not that easy if they lack something in their side.

I think there was a list already somewhere else but you probably should do a bit of research online rather than trust the responses here. Also,,, be careful of those scam degrees. Now there are a lot of Blockchain Certifications as well and I promise you a lot of them are pay to get,,, meaning to say you pay your fees, you will easily pass the exam or they will help you do it until you pass.

If the other universities all over the world gonna open this kind of degree, for sure it will help them to be enlightened on what blockchain really is. Plus the fact that they can spread what they learned and tell the government that this is gonna help their country in terms of the economical needs of it. I think blockchain has very bright future and most of the countries have realized its importance and started acting accordingly. Some of the colleges are providing blockchain degrees. And I believe most of the prominent colleges will follow suit as there is no alternative.
