I want to invest in filecoin, what is the probability of 100X?

The Chinese make a lot of hard disk mining coins, such as bhd fst lamb
What's future for these coins?

I do not think it will if we are looking at the crypto trend right now. it is only between pos and defi, it might become a popular consensus in the future but it will definitely not happen in 2020. I can not comment much because I do not see any significant update on those coins.

I don't think it will be as popular as you think it will. I have played around with one of the older coins with a similar concept and found out that it puts too much strain on my network connection. Some of us still have really slow internet speeds and datacaps. The slow internet speed makes it almost unusable for people that want to store large files on my network and it would completely drain my internet connection to the point it was almost unusable. So, despite the fact that I had all of this storage available for people to use, I couldn't really share it with the community. I'm sure it's a good solution for people with good internet service though. But, there's a majority of people in the world that still have horrible internet.

x100 is already an almost impossible thing to happen nowadays.HDD mining? Take a look for example with BURST. https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/burst/ If you do talk about the future then
you can answer it on your own by just looking the charts.

The writing is on the wall if all these projects are coming from China, do you really care of these shit coins thinking that it will help you in making a huge profit, i am skeptical on these hard disk based mining coins and the idea started with Burst and some made money mining the coin as the ROI is decent than the rest of the other shitty coins and if there is a new coins with the same mechanism they will not succeed.

Japan, South Korea, China, Hong Kong have high-speed Internet bandwidth, and even 5g is about to spread. Where do you live? It is definitely not East Asia. The hardware is already there.

xrp iotx xem neo are all junk coins, but their market value is very high in 2017, they all have 100x 1000X
Are you sure they will not be popular?
After all, they are simpler than pow and attract more miners.

I have a feeling Filecoin would dumped when it get listed on exchange just like Hashgragh, there is no demand in the market to support their ridiculous valuation, thanks to the ICO boom some of these projects were able to raise huge fund form investors, i just hope they utilize the fund well

I live in the United States. There's a lot of places here that have slow(at least to todays standards) internet and datacaps. My monthly datacap is 500GB. I can barely even keep my games updated on the PS4 and the Xbox without reaching my datacap. Plus, my upload speed is 2.5mbps. If there is any kind of upload going on, it basically hogs my internet connection and it's pretty much unusable. It's a good idea, but I just don't think the infrastructure is there yet. Much like Google's Stadia.

There is a lot of info about that and if you are looking for the token distribution of filecoin and this link will help you so much https://coinlist.co/assets/index/filecoin_index/Filecoin-Sale-Economics-e3f703f8cd5f644aecd7ae3860ce932064ce014dd60de115d67ff1e9047ffa8e.pdf

If you are searching about the more explanation regarding what is filecoin and what's the purpose of it to exist on the crypto market and this video will explain it very well.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cU-n_m-snxQ

The circulating supply is not yet determined caused by its still futures coin (IOU). The real FIL coin is not let launched

I never heard about Chinese making a lot of money specifically doing hard disk mining hehe,,, I remember when I fell for all the staking/POS coins that everybody was making easy money from supposedly. Left all my wallets open almost 24/7, felt so proud to see new stakes coins coming in but when the crash happened I lost a lot. No use having x2 or x3 coins when US dollar price drops 99% Wink

Honestly, that was a thing in the past that people tried, filecoin and many more (I forgot the name but was like storj or something) but that didn't really worked out that well. Apparently people do not really want storage that much, certainly not enough to actually pay for it, 1 tb external drives are dead cheap nowadays, people literally buy 4 TB now which is a thing that didn't existed only few years ago.

All in all the "idea" was good but it didn't turned out to be something world needed, certainly not gonna need it in 2020 because the better technology gets the less "needs" we will ever have. People even tried bandwith coins as well where they tried to share connection but the technology just wasn't there yet enough. I doubt 2020 will ever change anything for the filecoin or similar currencies.

True, this is not something new, the likes of Burstcoin and Storj come to mind but one thing I can say about Filecoin is that they have a better team to make it work coupled with the fact that it is well capitalized, so the funds is there for the team to hire developers and market it better than the two projects mentioned earlier

Burst coin is one of the popular altcoins that has a POC consensus.

I don't think that the attention will be on that but we're going to be with the PoS consensus. This is where the attention is going now, Tezos did and made it confident because of the exchanges where you can easily stake it and even on your Ledger wallet. We have Ethereum and everyone is waiting for that transition so I think PoS is the one that will become huge this year.

I want to invest in filecoin, what is the probability of 100X?

The Chinese make a lot of hard disk mining coins, such as bhd fst lamb
What's future for these coins?

probability of 100x is literally 0.01% imo , PoC coins are super gamed out man, not to mention the idea itself is a scam, regular users can NEVER compete with big datacenters
on one side you have the Chinese/russian/in general cloud infrastructure scammers, these guys have TBs of space they pay ZERO for
on another side you have dudes that run DCs, with also TBs of space they pay very little for as they already run a DC
then you have users speculating with TBs of space.  Theres so much invested in HDD space, massive bags waiting for a 10x even : /   lol
