For the reporter:
1. How if we have the history of report to moderator in each user's profile.
2. How if we have a notification which categorizes the reports. Which reports categorized as good reports, bad reports, or unhandled reports.

For the reported users:
1. There is a notification to the users. It tells the users which posts have been reported by people.

*I have read some previous threads discussing "report to moderator" feature, but I didn't find out such a suggestion as above. Please let me know if I missed something. Thanks.

You do get the history, yes.

Also, for people who report en masse (i.e. I have 40k+ reports) the notifications would get out of hand... and aren't really necessary.
Why do reported users need to know who reported them? That doesn't make sense and could be a catalyst for irreverent tension. Similar reasoning to denying this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5206142.0

Buddy, please recheck again what I wrote above. I didn't say the reported users got the notification of who reported him. But just a notification that tells him which posts are reported by people. So, no need to know who the reporter.   Wink

If there is a notification, he will know to avoid such posts in the future.

*sorry I edited reports --> posts. That's a mistake.

Okay, interesting to know it, buddy. Please enclose the link here if you remember where you ever read it. To be honest, I just know about it. And I'm curious about the reason why we need 300 reports to have the history report.
It is the decision of admin, so I don't know why theymos chose that cut-off to start displaying report history for each users at 300 reports and above. On the other hand, in the aspect of statistics, the percentage is only represent the truth if the sample size has at least 100 observations. Some people misuse the percentage statistics when their sample size are only 10, 20 or 30, that is hilarious, IMO.

As a rule of thumb, the larger the sample size is, the more accurate and representative the statistics are. I thought that theymos made his good decision to chose the 300 reports as the minimum requirement, to exclude and minimize effects of biases.

Another reason to consider is using that figure (300) will do help the forum reduce burdens on its database. As I know, circa the December of 2017, the forum disabled some of its stats in the Statistic Center. How many users have reported less than 100 reports? It is a huge number for sure, so I believe my assumption makes sense.

I have found it in this topic https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5214824.0 , Yeah i agree with you i think we should know the reason why we need 300 reports. I only have report 5 with 80% accuracy that is so far from 300.

You will see that when you have reported 300 good reports, then you will see the report history you have done!

Thanks for this opinion. I can say that it is quite reasonable if we analyze from the aspect of statistics. But from the aspect of appreciation to the reporters, the number (300) is better to decrease. However, you are right, it is the decision of admin. And it is his authority.

You will see that when you have reported 300 good reports, then you will see the report history you have done!

It is explicitly stated on the reporting message that :

Quote
Do not worry about your accuracy too much; one accurate report is worth many inaccurate reports.

So, you should just keep on reporting what you see against forum rules, than worrying about your reports, it's still a good deed even if one of your report is good.

And for the report history, as @tranthidung said, handling and storing the static of each forum user who reports could take a good sum of space as there are lacks of people who report 1 to 300 posts and very few who are above the 300 mark. 300 mark even show's that the user is more serious about the forum reporting and a stats page would help him more.

Admin definitely made decision from statistics. From what I've known about the admin, he does not make anything arbitrarily. We all don't have that statistics (total reports of each users) but admin does have these statistics, from which he does know how many reporters satisfy that requirements (in frequency and in percentage) as well as the burden of data storage on the forum system.

We will do not have access to such data, I believe.

I also don't agree with you on reducing the cutoff to below 300.

300 mark even show's that the user is more serious about the forum reporting and a stats page would help him more.
Exactly. 300 report threshold is so easy to achieve. Let's assume that you maintain your daily reporting habit and maintain total of daily reports at 10. Then, after 1 month (a bit longer or sooner), you will do achieve that threshold.

The forum has many bad posts and if you know how to effectively reporting, you can make it possibly and easily.
Read my guide to customize your patrol page, and read the guide made by Welsh.

In short, changing x to the board id on which you want to find bad posts: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=recent;boards=X
This one is a page for hidden patrol, without bounty: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=recent;patrol;nobounty

[a]: When you find dozens or hundreds of spam-/ shit-posts in one threads (you mostly find them in Altcoins - Announcements or Discussion), you can report them to the Spambuster club, where the others, especially LoyceV can help you out. But this way, you will do not increase your total count of reports.

[c]: That script is helpful because you can create a template of texts for your reports, such as: "Spam", "Burstposting", "Don't obey rule of bump within 24 hours", etc. You can also follow that one: List of Bitcointalk.org Userscripts/ Add-ons to get later born scripts or upgrading versions.

[e]: Your reports will be treated as posts, hence you will not be able to make too fastly reports that exceed the allowable time-gaps for your account at different period - depend on your activity points (even you use script).

Total monthly reports on the forum decreased significantly recent months.
Here are the ones for the past six months:

In this period, 19801 reports handled as good, 698 handled as bad, 628 unhandled.
In this period, 35785 reports handled as good, 1295 handled as bad, 1454 unhandled.
In this period, 33700 reports handled as good, 665 handled as bad, 823 unhandled.
In this period, 22258 reports handled as good, 739 handled as bad, 491 unhandled
In this period, 16122 reports handled as good, 818 handled as bad, 1507 unhandled
In this period, 7851 reports handled as good, 686 handled as bad, 1284 unhandled.

Yeah, you are right. FYI, I have no intention to state the admin arbitrary.  Smiley

I also don't agree with you on reducing the cutoff to below 300.
No problem. We have own view, and it is okay for me.
You viewed from the statistic aspect, and I viewed from another one.

Read my guide to customize your patrol page, and read the guide made by Welsh.
Okay. I will read all the guides, it should be very helpful for me. Thanks

So, you should just keep on reporting what you see against forum rules, than worrying about your reports,
Agree. That's what I also believe in. Keep reporting and don't worry about the numbers.

But just a notification that tells him which posts are reported by people. So, no need to know who the reporter.   Wink

If there is a notification, he will know to avoid such posts in the future.

*sorry I edited reports --> posts. That's a mistake.
Notifications for reported posts aren't great because they may not necessarily be good reports (of which moderators take some form of action, whether it be removal/moving or editing) and is susceptible to spam and abuse.

You are given a notification when a good post is reported and deleted or edited together. (I found out the latter when someone else's posts were deleted thus causing my replies to be collated upon one another)

An example thereof:

A reply of yours, quoted below, was deleted by a Bitcoin Forum moderator. Posts are most frequently deleted because they are off-topic, though they can also be deleted for other reasons. In the future, please avoid posting things that need to be deleted.
