This is another way for bounty campaign to attrack a lot of bounty hunter to promote their project. But it is guarantee that the project will be successful when they are listing on some exchanges.

And I doubt this way will take a long time since the investor just have a conviction that IEO/ICO will give a huge profit in the short term, which is mean they will always sell the coin/token when it has lounched on the exchange.

It is still the most popular smart contract platform and still the most used platform to launch tokens and ICOs. So it makes sense ETH is very popular as a payment,,, even at the current low prices (which also makes it attractive one can argue!).

In recent years most projects pay in the form of tokens, not ETH. Maybe you mean it happened before the end of 2016, because at that time tokens were still not popular. If it's true what @OP says then thankfully, it will attract more trust in an ICO and IEO, because certainly projects that are not serious, they will not pay in the form of ETH.

They will never think to create a payment use native coins as the main payment and what will the purpose the existence of their token if that will not be used as their main pair to create payment? If they will use ethereum and that means if the token or assets that already issued by them will be useless.
Multiple payment system already developed by so many platforms but not for a payment system that focusing to develop or accept a single native coin like ethereum.

If any new project makes bounty payments using ETH or Bitcoin, I think that project is great and they have a huge operating budget. But unfortunately, most of the new projects are very short of budget and a lot of scam projects, so payment via ETH or Bitcoin will not be popular in this market. In 2019 I only saw a few bounty paid with ETH and Bitcoin, but these are only projects that have completed the ICO and have been operating for a long time.

I hope that this happen in the current time because if the projects will start to pay in ETH then it will benefit both the parties. For the project developers the benefit is that no one will dump the value of the coin on exchange and seeing this the investors will not worry to invest in the project so there is a confirmed success in the sale and after the sale on exchanges. The benefit to the bounty hunters is that if the developers will abandon the project or will get fail then their payment will not be in useless coins but will be in ETH, there is also another benefit to developers as when the bounty hunters will see the payment in ETH then they all will come to participate in that and the chance of failure of the project will be zero. So one benefit to the bounty hunters while many benefits to the developers and to the project and investors.

Most of bounty hunters will support the ico project if the reward in bounty campaigns are ethereum or some coins that have value. Because this is favorable for bounty hunter to join and not afraid the risk of becoming scam eventually especially if the bounty rewards are escrow.

not yet, if there is and payment can be made directly as it is running like yobit, the project will certainly be crowded and developing quickly. see how the current development of yobit with a campaign that pays directly to the wallet with an estimated bitcoin and can directly be traded and withdrawn, also some airdrops, now they are very fast growing exchangers. it should be a reference for new projects to do projects with new ideas and innovations this year.

Lose in terms of paying bounty hunters? I don't think so. Because they have their allocation for bounty participants. And it is only a small percentage from their target fund or their possible fund to be raised. This is good for bounty hunters, and I think it is better to avoid scam project that do not want to pay bounty hunters after promoting a project.

Lately (especially during Xmas celebrations until the New Year holidays) I've found several projects that have paid for ETH, BTC and several coins registered on CMC. But that's mostly not in the form of bounties. Sometimes in the form of sweepstakes, random, or contests.

That's the risk for developers if they are true to their projects. If they can pay with ETH which already listed and no need to wait for value. Though this already been provided by some projects and it's  a options for bounty hunters as they are already gaining instead of receiving tokens which don't have any assurance if the coin will have a good fate to be listed in any exchange.

FYI no bounty campaign will pay you if the project is a failure, that is the practice, to receive your bounty from their token or whatever payment that they've promised the project should at least reach a soft cap, they can give you their token but that be worth nothing because there is no development that is going to happen, I have LBXU but the project was stopped but they still proceed to give their hunter their shares.
