Hi guys,

Ive been scammed on a bitcoin mixer, and was wondering if you could suggest to me reliable ones as of the new year ?

Ideally they would have a forum where people have very recently used them ...

Many thanks

I'd recommend ChipMixer they're one of the most popular mixers here in the forum. I've been using their services countless times and would continue until they stop operating.

Here's their main thread and if you're looking for other mixers they're usually posted in the Services Announcement board or check this detailed thread from LeGaulois.

Follow that suggestion above when it comes to popularity and reliability when we do talk about mixers then Chipmixer would be the number 1 i would suggest.Majority does know the reputation of this tumbler and theres nothing to worry about.I havent tested out other mixers out there though when bitblender closed its doors.

Concern bitcoin tumbler site i will advise you to make use of Chipmix and blender.io which i can only guarantee you there service but i never by any chance preview the services to the remain tumbling site which will have on this forum.
Meanwhile, wasabi seem better than samourai maybe it because i never use if before and what you need to do is completely 100% activate the CoinJoin features.
Its well explained in this YouTube video.

^

They make use of Coinjoin, it combines several bitcoin payments from different persons into a single transaction, so an outside person is unable to determine where the respective bitcoins are located. They can't say bitcoin A belongs to user #1234 with address xyz, etc....

Quote
An anonymization strategy that protects the privacy of Bitcoin users when they conduct transactions with each other. Coinjoin requires multiple parties to jointly sign on an agreement to mix their coins when engaging in separate Bitcoin transactions. This makes it harder for outside parties to determine which party or parties was making a particular transaction

while wasabi wallet and samourai wallet have made great strides towards privacy and trustlessness with their implementation of coinjoins, these implementations are far from perfect.

a binance singapore customer recently had his account frozen after participating in wasabi wallet coinjoins with outputs withdrawn from the exchange.

i love the idea of trustless and less centralized methods, but liquidity is a real problem for coinjoins right now. in a world with CT to obscure transaction values, they would be safer too. they just don't seem ready for prime time yet. we're still in a transitioning state where centralized mixers can be far superior.

Yup. Never visit anything other than the actual domain of the service itself.

I did a quick search on youtube for Chipmixer, and on top pops up a scam site using the exact same UI as Chipmixer, but with a different domain extension, namely .se which should raise instant red flags. This is how a lot new people get scammed because youtube is generally the go-to place for tutorials and reviews. Scammers are always a step ahead of the uneducated herd.  Undecided

Sorry about that but it's been reported several times before that there were fake 'bitcoin blender' sites out there. And the known one has shutdown and scammed someone as they close.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=229601

Choose chipmixer for now, it's reputable and reliable for the majority as you can see base on the feedback of everyone.

^ Be careful next and sorry for your loss. Here is the thread that similar name with bitcoin-blender and it was scammed 1.55 BTC. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5025688.0.
I will suggest you in having a short review and further research on these all scam websites bitcoin mixers that create with @logfiles. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5163858.0. Nevertheless, you should be careful next and always double-check the domain name given above by @hugeblack.

OP always double check which website you are using, also never click on google ads regarding to mixer (it's blocked but in case such ads appears consider my advice). Also always check reviews of mixers on this forum, check scam accusation threads that are opened against them (if any) and see what was the problem, whose fault it was and how it was solved.
Personally I can suggest you chipmixer and [banned mixer] both of them are old and trustworthy but for higher anonymity I would choose chipmixer. And to talk about funds, cryptomixer has proved that they have reserves of more than 2000 bitcoin.

@ralle14 has gave you a clear explanation and you can see the website one by one and pick the mixer that you like. Also DoublerHunter has gave a warning to not deal with some mixer on this thread ⚠️ List of Bitcoin Mixer or tumbler SCAM/CLONE websites ⚠️ by logfiles

Clearly, you have to make your own research to choose the legit platform and when you found a platform that you doubt between legit or scam then you are freely to add your question here.

I wonder why many users here let those scammers took your money first before asking any legit and recommended services like this one mixing services if you ask first before taking any action then you should avoided it, this forum has a lot of helpful members most especially when related to bitcoin ,although I did not use any mixer before I can see many trusted members here recommends https://chipmixer.com

Shit happens. When they are trying to use mixer like that for first time, they don't know about them. When they google it and that site popped up to the first link on their browser, they will click it and try it without doing any more research.

Sorry to hear that. Nobody deserves to be scammed of their money while trying to get it more private and this is why you should always do research prior to using a service to keep yourself safe. I would recommend Chipmixer which I believe is unanimously the only site that everyone would suggest. You may think its biased but if you want safety with efficient transaction then CM is the best choice.

Quote

That is not really a necessity. A forum thrives on the content of the community. Now how do you expect a person trying to hide his money to chat about it? But CM's presence in this forum is pretty good as you can see.

The service that scammed me was -snip-. Any website with that same UI is fraud ! Beware  Cry Cry[/b]
You should make a thread in "Scam Accusations" to describe it if you have any information still available. It would be of great help to spread awareness among other users.

At this moment there is none reliable bitcoin mixer. Chip mixer coins can be found on the blockchain! It won't help you at all!

*Personal opinion only*

Just use burner addresses and mix it yourself; learn how to avoid creating a tree and all will be going good. 20-35 transactions can clean your bitcoin very easily. It is not so much to learn, 4-5 hours and you will be already a proffesional.

Chip mixer when launched were amazing, able to clean and divide the coins in such way that you are not traceble, or less traceble. Right now it takes 5 minutes to find your transactions. You can do a great mixing if you add as receiving address another mix deposit and basically doing a 2 times mixing.

It's the only way it will become a mess and it shall be more difficult. I am not a professional myself regarding this job, but I have some good friends that is their job to track bitcoin transactions and follow what happens each block; and I know from them that is not usefull to use at all Chipmixer.

A researcher was able to break numerous mixing services last year but was unable to break Chipmixer. If your "friends" can truly de-anonymize Chipmixer transactions, we're all ears, but don't expect us to simply take your word for it.

Chipmixer's address clusters can surely be analyzed, but the identical chip amounts at such high volumes makes it extremely difficult to distinguish among transacting parties. Compared to traditional mixers, the model should significantly reduce the effectiveness of known blockchain analysis heuristics.

As I previously said, I am not a proffesional.

@exstasie please read the content of what you have posted:

Quote
1 Chipmixer was the only centralized mixing service which I did not break fully. However, I did not put much work into checking this mixing service.

And his purpose was not chipmixer if you are going to analyze it.

@joniboini

I will ask them if they want to share they aknowledge here with the people, but I don't think it will be in their interest or helping anyone with anything. And to be honest, 5 minutes sounds quite a lot for me when I suppose it is way smaller as time frame.

Before when I wrote my previous message I stated clearly that I am not looking to do a FUD for chipmixer or any other mixer, it is only the reality. I am not a technical person even tho, i understand perfectly clear more than an average person.

As also people believed from the beggining that Grin is a annonymous cryptocurrency, I said many times on their forum that I do not believe so; and last months have been a proof. If you want to stay annonymous just start using XMR or change with fast auto-change services like changelly to XMR and start sending the coins away.

Cheers,

M.

She's crazy like a fool.
