Why do you have to go to the crypto world events in person if you can stream them without physically exposing yourself? An aspect not to be underestimated for the future.

maybe people will differ in this perception, sometimes we need an advisor to provide clear information, whereas when the information comes from online then there are some people who will not fully understand. and to see the development of this technology, we need to see firsthand but usually the event will be in a large area and actually will be difficult.

Does it matter to go in events of blockchain? Actually I never visit any of the blockchain events here in my country since I can learn from internet and I really don't want to expose myself that I have a portfolio of crypto and I could also learn from other people all over the world by just watching from there streams.
And a lot of investor and pro trader are sharing their knowledge not just in an event but also in the internet and also from blogs.

Full article: https://itbiometrics.com/2020-is-kicked-off-with-the-ces-blockchain-event/The CES event is the biggest electronics showcase in the world and for the past few years, they have had a digital currency section. Some of the products that are being showcased seem pretty cool like crypto watches etc. Is anyone going to this? The digital currency section of the event is only for a day or so. Larry King is speaking at one of the cryptocurrency talks lol. If you are interested in learning more about it you can visit the above link which has information regarding some of the speakers and cool blockchain gadgets. Since cryptocurrency and blockchain technology is not really popular in our country, i haven't attended any events about crypto and blockchain. I only have attended seminars about blockchain technology in our small group because it could actually help me in the future.

depends on the person, because sometimes we have high curiosity and try a few things. so there are people who come to the crypto event because they want to know what's inside, and to learn I think it would be better to use the internet which can follow your own curiosity. because in the event we will not be able to get a lot of detailed information, maybe only some information.

Then flight and attend some big-time event about cryptocurrency in other countries. I know it'll be worth it since seminars or events will let you learn more about cryptocurrency, I'm sure you'll not regret it. I thought the government already lifted the ban on cryptocurrency in your country. I think licensed cryptocurrency companies will be allowed to have seminars or events regarding crypto since it's legal. Well, if it's not true then it's very unlucky to have a country that prohibits even a simple discussion about cryptocurrency. I read it here ^

I don't have a habit of going to events unfortunately. It is so hard to make time for those especially when they are only here and there, but CES is an event I would go every year just because of the technological innovations presented there. I've watched some tech vloggers on YouTube and saw that BMW is preparing a cool driverless car with touch sensible seats - so cool. Wondering if there were any big blockchain representants there?

yes, it does, but not every bitcoin event/convention is worth going to. last year I went to a total of 4 bitcoin/cryptocurrency and blockchain event's 2 of those events are highly informative and if someone asks me if they should ever go to a bitcoin event I would suggest they should but I'd ask them to search what the event activities which could make the difference between bad experience to great experience. And a lot of investor and pro trader are sharing their knowledge not just in an event but also in the internet and also from blogs.
bitcoin and blockchain events/convention usually have people who have a lot of knowledge about trading, investors, business etc.. that informs people about their respective fields. the difference between reading blogs from these people and meeting them in person is that you can ask them personally if you don't understand something and get a great response and probably additional tips about the questions you ask.

I've attend several blockchain seminars and to be honest, it was really informative and I think it adds to our knowledge and help us a lot when it comes to having a deep understanding of blockchain technology. But still, we could easily gather a lot of information on the internet and even in this forum, we could easily get information that comes from users experience. I have never been to events like that. And I don't feel like going there at all. I'd rather watch this stuff online.
How come? Are they too far or you don't believe they would be helpful? They are helpful, but sometimes there is also a lot of these events that exposing negative of cryptocurrency and just making the image of bitcoin look bad in the community.

IBM released an app in which you can trace Coffee beans. You can scan a QR and see exactly where your coffee has been made and it can track it down to the farmer. Pretty cool

I've gone to a few events. They are kind of fun, but the quality difference of some events vs others is quite large. The worst ones are quite bad, the good ones are pretty good.
Ultimately, I'm not much of a "networker" though, it doesn't really fit well with my personality since I'm not really into sales or sales tactics despite enjoying social interaction. So how much I get out of these things I've never really been too sure.

If you are into crypto and blockchain then you should never miss any such event happening in your area. I recently conducted one seminar on blockchain in my university and the response of students was beyond our expectations. Online resources like YouTube have their own worth but going out and physically meeting and interacting with experts helps in more clear understanding of blockchain technology.

Does anyone go to events? And if you do, what do you like most about them?
Attended one in 2019, it is about the potential of block chain technology in banking sector. I see a lot of people were really happy to hear the way block chain technology can improve transaction with less cost but little or nothing was discussed about the crypto. I think they are only focusing on the tech and not the crypto currencies

Unfortunately there are no such events around my area :/ but I follow some broadcast or podcast on the Internet, recently I found this one and I have to say it's pretty interesting, small talk between CoinDeal and Coinfirm members: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=83JnxuUUJ5o&feature=emb_title

I'm in a different country so no. Only hear of CES from the recommended gamer vids, I didn't even knew they already have a crypto section in the event this year since it seem to be mostly an event about the newest gadgets and consoles.
That's nice since it introduces it to other attendants that are not yet familiar with it. Even better if these gamer Youtubers start promoting it in their channels, or at least give it passing mention.

That's good for you, I want to join in events too in my country apparently I'm too far in those said events. It's good to join in events to hear techniques and strategies that will help us in this market. That's why I only do read and watch some live conference in Facebook or YouTube whenever possible.
