Hi guys,

I'm 95% sure this is a scam, but not completely.

This website here: https://freixtrade.com/

Is this a scam? I noticed it was registered on 25 Dec 2019 and it's basically like every other scam ever, however I can't be completely sure.

Also, here's another website. I believe this one is a scam: https://betxluck.com. Some guy messaged me on discord claiming to have the admin panel of this website and rigged the gambling game for me, then asked me to bet and he'll rig the game.

I didn't check those websites, but this "rigged gambling" thing is a known scam that seems to be quite popular in the last month.
Would you genuinely expect somebody just give you money for free by scamming a casino?!

Most of the websites you given are not so quite popular, I googled them and nothing I found, so be careful. No review or scam accusations, so be careful.
Those sites are totally new, especially the second one which is gambling.
I checked the website and it seems they are using some scripts or manipulate to looks like there are real people playing.

xiurobert, when you posting potentially dangerous links put them in code like this :
Code:
https://freixtrade.com/
This will prevent other inexperienced users from easily accessing the specified page, and that potential scammers get extra traffic. Secondly, you can use pages that check some basic information about each site, and this is some info about freixtrade :

Negative highlights
The website's owner is hiding his identity using a paid service
The server of the website is used for multiple websites
We were unable to find reviews for this website on WebOfTrust (WOT).
The registrar of this site is used by many spammers and scammers
The website has been set-up 16 Days days ago
The website is young (less than six months)

Hi guys,

I'm 95% sure this is a scam, but not completely.

This website here: https:// freixtrade.com/

Is this a scam? I noticed it was registered on 25 Dec 2019 and it's basically like every other scam ever, however I can't be completely sure.

Of course it's a scam. It's a complete clone of CEX.io website.
From what I've seen, there's tons of these fake exchanges. They all use the exact same cex.io template as their front-end.
It is important to use common sense when someone offers you some funds on these fake exchanges. It is quite easy to identify them by simple research.

Also, here's another website. I believe this one is a scam: https:// betxluck.com. Some guy messaged me on discord claiming to have the admin panel of this website and rigged the gambling game for me, then asked me to bet and he'll rig the game.

I have nothing to add here. Use a little common sense and just keep a safe distance.  Wink

It's a complete clone of CEX.io website.
This. They even use CEX.io's own logo and graphics. Complete scam.

As for the betting site, it is also a clone of other scam sites. See here for details: https://scamscavenger.tech/projectinfo?project=lucktocoin.com. A quick web search will also reveal that the entirety of their FAQs, Terms, and Provably Fair sections are plagiarized from various other sites.

Avoid them both. If you have signed up for either of them with the same password you use anywhere else, then you need to change it immediately.

Don't fall for this betxluck.com, this method has been exposed and so many posts are on the scam section, you can dig it there I'm pretty sure that they contact you on telegram, they mostly work on telegram and they are very active there, they do this because there are many naive in telegram channel and are not aware of this trick.

Yes it is a SCAM, and it is exposed in Scam Accusation section recently.
It is clone of CEX exchange.
Avoid any exchange with similar theme:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5215926.0

original legit exchange:
https://cex.io/

There was a thread recently about this sort of "rigged gambling scam" - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5215051.msg53529152

Even though it's not the same site, you can see how similar their names are, there's a strong chance they both belong to the same scammer. If someone offers you easy money on the Internet, it's always a scam, because if the method was legit, no one would actually share it. If it requires some help, they'd ask their friends, not strangers.

Thanks for the help. Currently in the process of changing my passwords

If you want to do this kind of 'investigation', maybe you should have a throwaway e-mail and use a password manager. That way, you don't have to go back and forth changing the password when you mistakenly typed a user password.

Some guy messaged me on discord ....
or on telegram or on Instagram or even on Tinder (no jk).
In all those cases just use common sense.

Why would a stranger contact another stranger on the internet and give him a way of making a lot of money?
If you would be the person knowing this method, wouldn't you first ask your friends or relatives for help or some friends of your friends?
You have 2 BTC blocked in an exchange and you will trust a stranger to withdraw them and send them to you? Seriously?

It's more than a year since a real flood of fake exchange and gambling sites that require a deposit to withdraw has started and it seems like it is not going to stop any time soon, people simply don't learn!!!!!

It's good that you have done some search first about the site you have mentioned. It's a scam. I have some answer to the quote below.

or on telegram or on Instagram or even on Tinder (no jk).
In all those cases just use common sense.

Why would a stranger contact another stranger on the internet and give him a way of making a lot of money?
If you would be the person knowing this method, wouldn't you first ask your friends or relatives for help or some friends of your friends?

The reason why a stranger contact a stranger is they want to steal your funds. That is why we should not trust a simple private messages or a message that offers you something. Cases like this are mostly scams. Refer to quote above op as this would help you. Always think about the question in the quote above. If someone offers you that you can earn lots of btc then you reply this to the stranger: If you have something to offer me that I can earn lots of btc then why you did not do it yourself.

This is a scam. Just like there are tens of clone websites with the same template « giving money » and requiring a deposit to let you withdrawal, this is one of them but with a CCEX design-like. This is not the first domain I see which is literally the same thing (texts, design, functionalities) as this one. They are all owned by the same person and they are all a SCAM.

Here is another one of them: https://fortunecrypto.net/ < SCAM

Notice how they are both LITERALLY THE SAME. And it’a back from November: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5205336.0

This is an old story I have read a lot of story about this since last year, so newbies should just be aware that if someone approaches, you with that kind of approaches, this thread should also be posted in the scam sections so people will also mark this website as a scam site.

Last time I almost fell victim to a phishing site imitating Bittrex. They even had the nerve to implement 2FA.

And worse, it was part of a Google ad.

And worse, it was part of a Google ad.
People place far too much trust in Google. Google only care about money and your private data. They don't care at all about your security.

I had a discussion about this a week or two ago about people assuming that apps that are listed on the Google Play store are safe to use. Just as Google don't have a team vetting every app that is uploaded, they don't have a team vetting every site or project that buys some ad space. They do the most cursory of checks (if any at all) on the app or site in question, and certainly nowhere near enough that people should be trusting them. As long as you pay them, Google will display any old trash.

To be victim of a phishing ad on Google, you need to make 3 big mistakes. Searching for sites instead of typing the URL, using Google, and permitting ads to be shown. I would advise against doing all three of those things 100% of the time. Install uBlock Origin, and switch to a privacy respecting search engine like DuckDuckGo or SearX.

You should be asking yourself why you must use an exchange which is the first time to hear by most members here and even yourself. So, why proceed to an exchange that obviously you don't know of?

And worse, it was part of a Google ad.
You can report that ad to google themselves.

How to report an ad

The best way is to protect yourself a phishing site is to bookmark all the important links. Also, there are some web browser add-ons that can come in handy, like MetaMask, Cryptonite or Netcraft.
