"The Singapore-based exchange did not elaborate on why they decided to purge XRP. In its statement, BITBOX mentioned the main reasons why assets could get delisted from its exchange such as poor performance, lack of liquidity, and regulatory issues.

Some of BITBOX customers are already threatening to close their accounts with the exchange that ditched their favorite cryptocurrency.

You could trade only BTC, ETH, BCH and XRP on BITBOX previously, so their statement "We keep a constant watch on all coins that are being traded on BITBOX", sounds a bit funny to me. But overall I think it's not a big surprise they decided to delist XRP. I think they are going to focus only on "super coins" such as BTC and ETH, so delisting of BCH is just a matter of time. It's a good marketing strategy, btw, because regular people are scared of shitcoins, and avoid them like the plague. With saying "We have none of them on our exchange" they can potentially attract many wannabe traders, who would stay away otherwise.

I can't stop laughing when i see people calling XRP and BCH shitcoin because we can't compare these projects with new projects of today that can exit scam on you at any time, if any exchange delist XRP for one reason or the other its their problem, XRP has better chance to keep living than many altcoins

Why would bother that much if only BITBOX is the only exchange delist out XRP knowing that this coin is heavily trade up on big exchangers.
I dont see a reason that they would jump in the bandwagon and would do the same action. Why would they do such thing?
Love it or hate it, this centralized coins would be heavily supported for sure and its still long time for it to be rejected.

This is very surprising the third coin in the market with billions of volumes daily, if they are de listing the third most popular coin in the market, they only have two coins in their exchange and they are going to lose traders by this action, I consider this such a bad action, but it's policy and their decision, I'm not a big fan of XRP but we can't deny their popularity in the market.

yeah, it has a better chance caused by the support from bankers and no more. Which is utility usage that already offered by ripple? what benefits that already got by the latest adopters?
If the reason was about the regulatory issue and then that's true caused by ripple is a security coin.
Sadly, Op is also a BSV supporter too.

Poor performance, lack of liquidity and regulatory issues cannot be made an issue, it's their lost anyway, I will close my account too if they delist one of my favorite coin, XRP is not my favorite coin, but it's a top coin and it should not ignore its presence in the market, there must be hidden issues delisting XRP.

XRP is centralized coin and BCH is forked coin from bitcoin, there are lot other similar forked coins from bitcoin but only BCH managed to get the popularity and demand but they are not a coin with high security over the value as well as the freedom of using even if they are in your wallet it could be froze, and also the total supply could be increased which results in value loss per unit.

Honestly, way back before xrp is really a shitcoin but talking the recent stage, it's not a shitcoin anymore as it already proven itself in the market. And even though it's centralized, we couldn't deny the fact that it helped and become useful to others.

Perhaps those who will delist xrp is nothing but a butt hurt.

I'm not using Bitbox and I just sold all my XRP but news like this is quite surprising, it will not serve their interest because XRP has solid supporters because of the profit it's supporters are getting,  and the majority of exchanges are,  had XRP in their pair, I don't want to call this unusual but surprising, because XRP will never fall into the poor performance and lack of liquidity category.

To say that this exchange, BITBOX, "isn't big", is almost to say nothing. Look it up on the CoinMarketCap, it currently takes 158th place by the reported volume

and the real volume is probably even lower. One could be actively trading for years, without even hearing of this exchange. Imo, their delisting of XRP is nothing more than a marketing ploy intended to draw attention of the press to them.
