Indeed we hope more users can participate, we had a wave of players from a couple other forums previously, we hope to duplicate the success here as well.

We intended it to be this way for we are trying to build a lottery that is as decentralized as possible, to follow the world Satoshi would’ve liked to build

I guess it is one thing to engender decentralization in a lottery and quite another to use a pseudonym in a business whitepaper. This is not an anonymous coin you are making. You are operating a lottery, a gambling site which should be duly registered with complete real names of the development team, and with a mechanism to prove the fairness of the draws.

We feel that somehow defeat the purpose of decentralization, we’d like to follow what the crypto world believes in as fully decentralized, global and anonymous gameplay

I am only reading everyone's post about this about that but I never read anyone telling their experience in the lottery site. Did anyone played already in that site?. I don't have any questions about the site's design since it's created nicely and looks professional. When you log in do players really need to download an app?.

We’d encourage you to start playing, it only costs 0.01 ETH for each game play.

The UI of the website looks really good. But Lottery becomes less attractive in the crypto space having said that Lottoshi looks similar to the power ball which is kind of new so will see how it works within the crypto ecosystem. I don't see any roadmap so are you planning to add any new games or what is the future plans for the Lottoshi.?

So far we’re just trying to do this one thing right, we believe this protocol can survive a long time if done right, so our focus is still on tweaking some of the UX details.

Anonymity is indeed the better option. But that is not going to be absolute. For players, anonymity is much preferable but that won't be the case I guess when it comes to a development team of a crypto gambling project and site. Anonymity in this case probably means lack of accountability.

Satoshi was anonymous. But that seems to be an exception to the rule nowadays. New crypto projects with a team made up of pseudonyms where they could not be scrutinized in terms of their individual reputation, qualifications, experiences, expertise, and so forth might not sell anymore.

By the way, are you a duly registered gambling site?

Exactly! Just like IRL, companies that are involved in lottery have to have a permit to operate (well, you don't really need it here) and identity for legal reasons, as well as if it's genuine. But let's be honest, here, even if they do provide such information they still get away with it, easily.

You wont able to see such thing if sites directly make their own and didnt go on having an ICO

Definitely shady.

This also adds up.

So you’re talking about our team too, we’re staying anonymous because at some point we want to make the protocol fully decentralized and without a central authority, we thought putting our names out there may complicate things in a number of ways, we’re only here answering questions to kick start the project as well, once the goal of this phase is achieved, we won’t have a reason to exist.

We’re not a centralized company, we’re a decentralized protocol, it’s easier for centralized entity to be trusted (or not) after registration, but a decentralized protocol should be trustless anyway, we would love to have as many developers review our smart contract as possible, if you know anyone can help with this, please let us know.

Adding up more games would require more resources and it will depend if they do still have the funds to go on or would just wait for their lottery game to be successful
but as to say that these games arent really that attractive.Seeing a roadmap? You wont able to see such thing if sites directly make their own and didnt go on having an ICO
but at least you would able to read their Bitcoin Lottoshi Whitepaper.  Cool https://lottoshi.io/assets/LottoshiThesis.pdf

Yes, I saw the whitepaper investing most of the ICO funds for the prize pool and I agree that it's not much attractive at least for me. It seems like they are believing in with just one lottery game which is risky and they should have some backup plan for new games or something if the lottery is not so successful as they thought. They could consider running some promotions to incentivize the ticket sales.

We agree that Lottoshi should run some promotional programs, earlier considerations found it too centralized, but we may reconsider, do you think a promotional program would kick off the community’s long term interest in the lottery?

The promotional program would just motivate the users to buy the tickets, In order for the lottery to be successful, the users should develop a habit of buying tickets as they would for the traditional system with the hope of winning one day as it doesn't provide any joy in playing like other casino games IMO. I would term lottery as a passive play So I think some promotional events could fuel the sales and participation rate which may continue if users get attached to it.

We definitely do need people to get used to buying tickets for example, every week or every other day, the promotional programs would definitely help, another thing on our mind is because crypto should be anonymous, but that way it’s hard to place triggers in people’s lives to get them to come back.

Am quite agreeing to this. But it still depends on the overall program of the project and how they want to be known in the industry.

And important to consider also their contingency and flexibility. It won't hurt to try.

I just tried this today and it's easy and secured.

You will instantly see your wallet address reflected on the recent invests section.

.001 ETH isn't quite a big deal to put it here.

Before speculating, I strongly suggest to join and give this a try.

This review gives fair integrity to this lottery game. 0.001 ETH won't hurt the pocket yes.

Let's see what will others say too.

Simple and easy to understand. And just to compare with other lottery sites, this has been the most friendly and no annoying popping up and ads everywhere. Very rare for something like this to get huge attention but I believe it is worth to try and play! not bad for starters actually. been recommending to other threads to check this out.

This was my review when I first visited the site.

As for the experience in investing, it offers full security and no complication in my overall experience.

Worth splurging small amount of ETH.

How 'bout the rest here?

If I will play and also invest, is my wallet address going to be reflected twice in Recent Invests? Or just once (only for investing)?

Of course not, he is just using the same code name Nakamoto. That's why using Lottoshi as his first name. Is that obvious here? And at least they are not being hypocrite here, using bitcoin's whitepaper as their reference and is truly used by many projects.

After finally trying this, I can only say that the hard part for me was creating a wallet in MetaMask. They are using MetaMask as your wallet so you can fund your game and/or investment.

You have to download a browser extension of MetaMask first so whenever you want to play/invest, MetaMask will pop up to connect your wallet to Lottoshi website and get a fund (ETH).

Everything else is fast and easy.

Unfortunately Metamask is not under our control, but if we find easier wallets to use we’ll definitely share with the community here, thanks again for the feedback.
