If you are asking me using the question in the title, I would say yes of course. Ripple is one altcoin that is trusted by so many in the crypto community. It has achieved so many things, created so many partnerships, etc. But if you are going to consider the possibility that XRP will reach $3-$5 as a reason for you to invest on it, then don't invest. It is not going to reach even $2 within this year.

i upvote your opinion, it is true that XRP is still best on reaching many opportunities with many partnerships. But it lacks an effect on its price ( based on 2018 - 2019 performance ).
But IF ( big if ) BTC keeps bullish at this year (2020) soon every altcoin which traded by many people can get their piece of pie which naturally will be good for all investors. As per i have seen at these early days of this month ( January 2020 ) the price of alts vs fiat still on same effect as BTC. Hopefully it not changing for a while since i trading on alts too.

If you are asking me using the question in the title, I would say yes of course. Ripple is one altcoin that is trusted by so many in the crypto community. It has achieved so many things, created so many partnerships, etc. But if you are going to consider the possibility that XRP will reach $3-$5 as a reason for you to invest on it, then don't invest. It is not going to reach even $2 within this year.

Even if BTC will remain bullish whole year round and will even triple its price, which is possible, I still highly doubt that XRP will reach $3-$5. XRP reaching $2 is already x10 in its current price. So how is it possible for $3-$5 dollars per XRP to be reached within the year?

Just because they say it is a moderate prediction does not mean it is, they are predicting that XRP is going to give 15x at the end of the year and that is the minimum prediction, the upper range has XRP surpassing its all time high and giving 25x profits, unless you are an incredible investor then those numbers are huge and I do not see how XRP is going to reach those numbers, do they think bitcoin will do 100x or something? Because if that is not the case then forget about that prediction.

Ripple has a lot of potential plus the fact that it is trusted by investors out there. The problem is the price of Ripple is having a hard time to rise up that is why I am on the verge of investing and not investing into it. I agree with your opinion. maybe XRP is a good investment, it's just that since the beginning of 2019, XRP does not have an increase like bitcoin, or coin Binance. although many think that XRP will return to its peak, but I prefer to focus on bitcoin compared to XRP, or other coins.

Xrp is one of the sleeping dragons in crypto space that I know of, it has it's potential even when it's a centralized coin and I believe it's on of the reasons why it will do better in near future, just invest what you can afford to lose and add other coins like ETH and BTC to your list too

Even though Ripple is one of the best altcoins so far, I'm not interested in having it on the grounds that altcoin is currently still in a bad state.
and besides owning bitcoin, I also have two altcoins which in my opinion have always provided good returns so far like Ethereum and Litecoin that I can trust, and in my opinion every coin or altcoin owned must be based on strong and consistent patience.

in my opinion at the end of 2020, Ripple probably won't touch the price of $ 5. My prediction Riplle can only reach prices in the range of $ 2- $ 3. XRP is similar like LTC in 2019, slow movement and stable in volume. If this become indicator to say best investment opportunity of 2020 I don't think so. Ripple will stay stagnant just like 2019. They release powerful news about the progress with some bank in Europa and event in Turkey. Every developer did that but they will release news with truth information, ripple is more like pushing too hard. I don't like it but still use it for withdraw process only not for investment.

Ripple is one of the top 3 crypto available at the moment and is ETH's closest rival, I personally am not very sure about xrp because I personally have never invested in centralized altcoin that is very young to be manipulated.

Till the end of this year all of the coins will reach to a higher value it is expected that all of the coins will reach to its previous ATH price and will attain another ATH it is all because of the price of bitcoin which will continue to rise in this whole year and the price of all coins will then get the investment from all of the investors as all of them will want to multiply their bitcoin.

If the price of bitcoin continues to increase, I also have the opinion that the price of altcoin will slowly follow suit. But, what will happen later we do not know, for now maybe we hope that it can happen and provide benefits for us all. For now, for me personally I am more focused with what I can do to continue to survive in cryptocurrency and continue to generate profits from it.

there was a petition to make XRP official cryptocurrency of Tokyo Olympics, do not know how this turned out, but if XRP is promoted on the Olympics, that will have influence on adoption and price

Although I am not much of a fan, xrp is at the top of the appropriate altcoins to invest. The current price is very low, and this is one of the biggest reasons to pump its price when there is an increase. At the same time look at other top altcoins as well. Because not only xrp but most of the top altcoins are ready for flight, they just wait for acceptance from the tower.
