Elon Musk has yet again provoked intrigue among the Bitcoin and cryptocurrency community. The tech entrepreneur posted a cryptic tweet referencing the digital asset earlier today.
The Tesla and SpaceX CEO wrote on Friday ‘Bitcoin is *not* my safe word.’ Safe word, for those unaware, is a phrase commonly associated with sexual activity.
The suggestive wording of the tweet has left followers and the Bitcoin industry guessing as to what prompted Musk to suddenly start talking Bitcoin again. To read the full news, click hereIt looks like nobody could stop Elon "Tesla Boy" Musk from tweeting about BTC!Although it's a good thing for established guys like him to say something positive about Bitcoin, it might take a while for BTC to take off. No offense, but tweets alone cannot guarantee that everyone would start exploring Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. Some of them may even take negative advice or comments about Tesla boy in terms of Bitcoin discussions, but I think this guy right here is clearly standing out for the world's most popular cryptocurrency. Any reactions so far guys? Cheers!

Wasn't there a similar topic yesterday? I think it disappeared somewhere maybe it got deleted Tesla is in an uptrend similar to the ones Apple and Microsoft went through. That said Musk is throwing money away trying many different projects at once like that express tunnel, space projects, powerwall... Some are returning good profits and some are not. It's basically a one man company. If something happens to Musk the stocks will fall.

Why is it so important that Elon Musk need to accept bitcoin? This is opinion, let's leave him to say anything he likes after all he is in charge of his own opinion and thought. The entire Bitcoin ecosystem do not really needs Elon Musk to be successful. It's already successful. It is just the matter of time for it to gain mass adoption...

They do not have content and tha is why such crappy post and the next thing they will do is blame Google for less traffic. They should themselves analyse what kind of content they should curate. Just grabbing feeds will not help them to become authority website.

These statements are of no significance unless they have a real presence on the ground, and news related to companies does not affect the price as government companies do. It is not an understanding of the reason for the change, but there is no need to create an article on these statements, it is a page and he is free to write whatever he wants. It is unfortunate that these pages publish the news for gains rather than credibility or good analysis that provides useful information.

Cryptocurrency is a small niche field, not much actually is going on, and this is a problem for anyone who wants to get into the news business - so they start reporting the smallest events possible, they publish unverified rumors and post really lazy analytics articles. I have long ago stopped clicking on any crypto news site links, to avoid generating revenue for them, and I suggest everyone do the same.

Doesn't prove anything yet. We can't also say he does support the technology fully. All he did was some hints, that some media overhypes, and one medium to bring FOMO once again. Even the 200k, as per the site, mistakenly believed to be a Bitcoin prediction, though it appeared later on that it was just the number of sales from the Cybertruck.

A publicity for Bitcoin is a welcome one no matter what. Of course, even if we will have a hundred men like our Tesla boy promoting Bitcoin everyday it is not a guarantee that Bitcoin will be on the mainstream or be kicking the usual fiat monies out of this world. The real universal adoption can be taking some decades especially that Bitcoin is not endorsed and backed by any government and not even backed by any valuable commodity like gold, it is rather backed by its own strength and that inkling of a good future we expect it to get into. Nonetheless, we have to thank Elon Musk for continually getting on the side of Bitcoin, him being also a good symbol of innovation and change. As to what prompted the Tesla boy tweet such a message, I will just leave that to anybody's imagination.

I think bitcoin or crypto needs support from like musk or any other celebrates it will going to help bitcoins to go mainstream talk and musk have own choices to talk about anything in social media. Maybe he can launch projects under blockchain in the future.

exactly. haha. they are desperate for "news" these days since the market is once again pretty calm and the altcoins are still continuing to get dumped slowly like before. so there ins't anything remotely exciting for them to write about. and "yellow" sites like OP's are even more desperate since their ranking is quite low and the history of poor content means people don't even pay them any attention even if they published anything decent.

Any reactions so far guys? Cheers! It makes sense, who but Tesla? If you had happen to catch Elon Musk's interview with "Joe Rogan" on his famous platform "The Joe Rogan Experience", Elon had been conducting the interview with Joe discussing the future, life and tech and during the interview Joe and Elon decide to spice things up and decided to light a spliff to take a mellow approach and attempt to take the edge off of what started as a great but awkward interview. Elon become more relaxed, comfortable and focused as the segment progressed warming up to the conversation, however investors did not. Investors lost their minds because it showed to much of Elons human side during the interview, people got to see that he was just a chill guy at the end of the day, but this was considered bad for the companies image, which they say was reckless. Too much human expression I guess? So it make sense that Big guys like Elon have got their eye on cryptocurrency, I think he can only hint at it though instead of speak too highly about it, potentially losing investors again like with the podcast.

For people that claim to love freedom, and want freedom of money, BitCoinTalk.org practices censorship as much as any petty tyrant. Everyone here should demand better, it is shame to see something that started with good intentions go so corrupt. Hard Facts

Didn't know that "safe word" expression is related to sexual activity, but now that I know Elon could have referred to the candlestick terminology used by some avid traders out there. I'd say we should expect a major pump or dump soon.

Well at least he puts attention to bitcoin again and interest will be generated. Though i find it difficult to understand what that was about. To me it doesn't seem to be a negative tweet. The guy's a visionary. I think he's leaning more on crypto's side rather than sharing warren buffet's view.

It's basically a one man company. If something happens to Musk the stocks will fall. This is sad but true. I don't think any of his companies would fare good without him. They may linger along for a awhile but their would simply go out, Like an Apple without the Steves or even Microsoft without Gates and Ballmer; its simply not the same. No idea why he mentioned bitcoin, maybe because of it being used as "safe" against an unstable economy? It really doesn't matter. The powerwall is technically a Tesla product, its simply the very same car batteries used as UPS. I guess its just a bi-directional grid tie inverter connected to the LI-ion batteries which charge and discharge as needed. The home edition is i think around 10% of the batteries a Tesla car would have, there is a commercial edition as well (MOAR batteries).

I think he may just give a response, but with the position he has a big name makes people will be easily influenced by the posts he made. so as long as he comments there is nothing wrong, if you want to make a comment back it's good to give a response that can sound repulsion that makes other people will not easily believe his words.
