Trying to prevent closing and reloading of pages on Android browsers when switching to other app and back.  Is there an app or setting I can use to prevent this from happening?  Android 9.

This is per design of Android OS, its not related to a particular browser. The best you can do is limit yourself to use the least amount of apps and hope for the best. Try not to use more than 2 apps at the same time. Even so, it appears to be time based, regardless of available ram.

In the newer androids a secondary screen is possible, i think you can emulate one in dev options, so maybe try that? (move the app to the secondary screen) so it remains "always open".

I think this is normal when you're using an app and gets back to the browser.

There's no solution for this ATM.

I think when you work on mobile you launch many apps at once The problem with this is that it can never be stopped and reloaded pages in the Android browser at once You have to solve this so that many apps without having to turn on the app that will work with it on and reloading it in the space of the job when the work is finished the app will cut it from the front.

It depends on your device optimization,normally devices with higher RAM can handle more apps on background but if its less then chances of background operation will be stopped so go through device settings for changing optimization controls.

Why not just save the opened pages before switching to another application? You can then reopen the pages when you are done with  other app.
Does the browser tab close and reopen frequently when you switch to other applications? You sure the problem isn't from the browser or  your RAM is probably low? Guess you should try clearing your browser cache/data, update the browser, try another browser, use task killer to close some apps, buy a better phone if you can?
