It wasn't today since I already read about it yesterday. It's not crypto manipulation, IMO, he's just being a trickster and writing something vague that drives the community crazy and gives food to crypto news portals. That reminds me, it's not the first time Musk is doing something weird and crypto-related on his Twitter. Do you remember that he once made a tweet about Ethereum with some anime girl and people were speculating what he meant by that? I can't find that exact thing right now, but there're some news articles referring to that event. Anyway, his words clearly don't affect the price.

I think he uses it as a weird little outlet more than any type of meaningful platform much of the time. If I were him I would've quit some time ago as having an instant conduit from his mind to a global audience must've cost tens of millions in legal ball ache by now.

Many months ago I read on some bitcioin-related news site where he said he didn't have many bitcoins, so he's just saying his opinion... In the cryptos world people who have a lot of bitcoins have hardly had pessimistic opinion because they have fear of the price falling and having too much losses

People really are thristy of popular people’s tweet regarding crypto therefore a simple tweet like that vould ridiculously affect the market. Because they thought that whatever those famous people are saying to crypto, they are expecting somehow it will have an impact on its price especially if someone is saying positive on crypto. But since Musk is not on the safe side, they thought it is already price manipulation with hidden agenda. Can a normal person just tweet for nothing and not give so much meaning out of it? Social media is really toxic nowadays, you can't express yourself without being judged by others.

or he could just be making a joke or comment without meaning to influence the market.  It's hard to know what he intended from just a short comment.  However, I think that if someone as prominent at he is mentions Bitcoin, it's a good thing unless he makes a clearly a negative comment.

I don't see how a simple tweet like that from Elon Musk can be considered as a manipulation. He is not even telling us what to do with our cryptocurrency. He is not telling us that we should buy more or to let go of our holdings. Anyway, since he is definitely a famous man, whatever joke he is putting on the internet can be picked by anybody and can be plastered with meaning depending on someone's impression and creative imagination. Maybe it is time we give ourselves some break, relax and smell the roses.

I don't see how a simple tweet like that from Elon Musk can be considered as a manipulation. He is not even telling us what to do with our cryptocurrency. He is not telling us that we should buy more or to let go of our holdings. Nothing new because any sentiments or words came from famous people/personalities then the entire public would really give out or tagged some meaning even if we do analyze it correctly with those words we cant identify if those have an intent or just empty but we can presume that hes trying to give some negative sentiments for the purpose on driving the price down since we know that public do react easily with these kind of sentiments.

Elon Musk is a smart guy. He knows that mentioning the word Bitcoin in a manner as he did will trigger a reaction from his followers as well as the rest of the world. This is especially true when it comes to the media outlets. These types of cryptic tweets are great ways to get engagement which results in exposure to different types of crowds. Also, Elon Musk has been known to troll his twitter followers a few times. I think he's a guy who likes to say, and do "edgey" time things. I remember the last time he went on Joe Rogan's podcast, and smoked weed with him, and the news outlets blew up. There was another time where he was in a photo with the Spacex crew, and people went crazy due to him wearing a anime t-shirt. The guy is the very definition of a "edgey" person, and these little things cause a big wave in terms of his brand exposure. He's also shown the "system" or the conventional etiquette the finger a few times which has resulted in the legal ball aches that you speak of.

However, is this price manipulation? I don't think so at all. I think Elon Musk is up to his old tricks, and causing a few waves over the social media platform. I don't there's much more depth to this than the things that I have already mentioned.

That Elon is very much into crypto is very probable. And crypto means more than just Bitcoin. He has been mentioning that a handful of times. That he is manipulating the prices, there is no solid back up to that. That would fall on pure speculations because devoid of proof.

Yeah, it's amazing what Twitter has done as far as politics is concerned.  I'm not so sure it's a good thing at all, to be honest but all this technology that's developed ever since the internet started to mature has made things much different than they used to be.

As far as Musk's tweet is concerned, people are reacting to it like slobbering idiots.  The tweet is essentially a non-statement about bitcoin, and I'm not sure it's a statement about anything--the word "bitcoin" just happened to be in it.

For some folks, having that instant conduit isn't a good thing, not for them, not for anyone.  I've never used Twitter since I generally don't care what people are thinking from minute to minute and from what I've seen most tweets are just stupid nonsense.  It's also amazing how news stories these days always include tweets from people.  What a world.

I think crypto manipulation is regularly happening in crypto market due to negative and positive talks from different countries announcement about crypto currencies or people like Jhon macfee now musk has joined the party maybe it will give some positive move for bitcoins or crypto market.

Elon Musks net worth is around $30 billion. I highly doubt he would be posting a positive BTC tweet and at the same time going long on high leverage on his bitmex account just to make a couple thousands bucks. Doesn't make sense.

Also the way that SEC laws work, if you are invested in some company or stock, you can't endorse it without saying you own stake in the company, its illegal. Remember the show "2 and a half men", Ashton Kutcher in one episode had a sticker of some company that he hold stock in, after the episode aired he got into trouble and they had to modify the episode afterwards.

i don't see the manipulation part to be honest. bitcoin price is pretty much what it was before, on a trajectory to start the big rally which means a small rise at first (from $7k to $8.5k) then a small correction (down to $7.9k) and then rise back up. manipulation would have been if price went crazy and shot up to $11k or dropped down to $6k and neither one has happened.

as for altcoins, i still see no change there either. they are pretty much doing whatever they were doing before. for example ETH is having a slow drop against bitcoin as it has been doing for the past 3 years and small shitcoins are pumping big every day just like before.

Trying to manipulate the crypto market with a tweet created. Elonmusk will certainly be a role model for his followers, this will be a massive manipulation. Elonmusk will become an elite whales who are able to control the crypto market very easily.
