There are so many topics about top coins and I really can't trust any other people predictions because the current market depends so much on the value of Bitcoin. Of course I will still see that article but certainly will not trust because these are old options and not many people interested in this time. In addition, I prefer investing in new projects because these are projects that have the interest of so many people.

It will be easier if you will just check coinmarketcap and choose the top 5 currencies out there as they are less riskier compare to the currencies that were under them. You don't need to dig much about that currencies as they already proven their use by reaching their current ranks right now.

But the Bitcoin dominance is pretty high right now so I suggest that you put more percent to Bitcoin if you would like to invest like 40% is btc and remaining will be divided into four other currencies.

You just have to read the coins that they are suggesting so that you wouldn't be taking the risk that they are passing to their readers. If the coins they are suggesting are good enough for your appetite and choice of coins, it's still you that will choosing it at the end.
As you have said, risk is there so profit isn't guaranteed. You have to sell at the right time.

I could not see btc on this list. If the headline was top 5 altcoin, I would agree with your choices, but the title was about all cryptos. Also, you can remove xrp from the list and add another altcoin. I do not know how you accept, but in my opinion, xrp is not suitable for this market at all. Although we think that banks will not be needed while we have crypto, xrp still provides central power to banks.

Always make your own research when it comes to investment. Some people tend to invest in top altcoins in the market because they know it is more profitable than investing in other coins but we have different preferences when it comes to the cryptocurrencies. I only have 2 coins on the 5 coins that I have seen on the site. I'm currently holding Ripple and Ethereum but I also Bitcoin and Binance coins and these are cryptocurrencies where I invested my money. Aside from that, do not forget to invest in bitcoin because we do not know if this coin will hit again it's ATH price after its halving.

Your selections  are good, for me my 5 top cryptocurrencies would be bitcoin and ethereum  those are a sure add. Then I add some litecoin, xlm and Ada, would go for these. In as much as don't like holding so many coins,i think 5 is enough.
