Australian Bushfire is no news and truly the 2019-2020 bushfire has been the most disastrous to the country, losing animals, humans, buildings etc. Binance donated a sum of $1 million in BNB to this effect as charity. This can be seen from CZ's recent tweet 🔗 https://twitter.com/cz_binance/status/1214760723013783553?s=19The point is that crypto has been used for many criminal activities including ransom paid to kidnappers. This kind gesture by Binance goes a long way to show crypto can be very beneficial to mankind, not only used in detrimental aspects. Guys, if there are other recent cool stuff crypto has been used for, please drop here. Thanks

I hope these kind of news will help to eliminate the bad image of crypto among the people who think it is a money only used by hackers but media will not cover much about these news to get exposure because government doesn't want them.

Really impressive to know that crypto can also be used for remarkable deeds like the Binance donation. Many people see crypto as a means of payment for weapons, or criminal deals as mentioned by OP, but they forget to understand that everything has advantages and disadvantages. I believe many people will come to realize the good side of crypto is way bigger than the bad attributes.

Media should set aside their personal interest and let the world knows the real situation of every country especially on a huge Bushfire in Australia. I know this country is rich but still we should do something to help them, and its good for a top exchange to make a move and help by donating money. Cryptocurrency can be use to anything, whether its a criminal transactions or a good transactions you will see here that cryptocurrency is the best i mean its easy to transfer money without filling up many forms in the bank. We also experiencing a crisis in my country and I’ve already donated some of my bitcoin in not so big non-profit organization since they accept cryptocurrency for donation.

I do appreciate the kind gesture from CZ but I believe he was only using the disaster as a means of marketing his company. Binance CEO is very smart. It feels like the donation is similar to paying for media publicity in Australia.

I mean, it's not just BNB either. I've seen other prominent bitcoin figures on twitter asking for donations in BTC as well as even forum members holding charity raffles.
If this can catch on publicly, then it won't just be something that will be beneficial to Binance's PR and public image, it will be a good look for crypto overall.
This is essentially using cryptos for exactly what they're designed for - to facilitate cheap, worldwide transactions with little to no cost regardless of where in the world you're situated in. It can really bring people together in these rough times.

Thanks Many big businesses do have good charity programs and hopefully this is not limited to the Australian incident. It is cool to see that binance take action to help amidst this capitalistic era. Though this gesture have already made impression to make binance popular, at least they did help. Plus, it's not just binance, but the whole industry of crypto can be known by more people in the global scale.

It is a wise and kind decision from Binance to donate for Australian Bushfire. It shows crypto advantages not only for business purposes but it also has an advantage in helping others, in this case helping Australia. Then, I hope other exchanges realize that they also need to contribute to humanitarian aid, such as the donation for natural disasters.

It is indeed good news. Donating to the Australian fire, Binance is considered to have a good impact on the crypto industry. Previously, people did not have a very good impression of the crypto industry. Only through such operations as Binance, we can improve people ’s bad impression on the crypto industry. Worth learning from other exchanges. It is also beneficial to expand their popularity.

Thanks Maybe a bit misleading in wording, but a donation is a donation good for him! i mostly like CZ, and this only adds to that its interesting he gave BnB, i wonder who he gave it too, the Aussie gov? dosent really say on the page, im just curious, picturing the government here opening an account at Binance to sell this BnB lol either way, good exposure for Binance and Crypto in general! 2020 looking bright Gentlemen

Or if crypto, maybe BTC for instance, but BNB donated was a shocker. Doesn't really matter anyway since they can easily convert to FIAT for the said purpose. The important thing is the good picture of crypto CZ portrayed.
