Seeking a .025 loan for .0275 back in 2 weeks.

As collateral, I can offer Marriott points. Obviously the lender would need to have an existing Marriott rewards account, or create one. Prior to receiving bitcoin I would have the points transferred to their account.

I would be willing to put 40,000 points as collateral, which if you look into it, is worth decently more than what .025 is worth.

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

Has anyone got a decent gif of someone blowing a bubble-gum bubble that bursts and floats down their chin?

How do you figure Mariott points are valid collateral for a brand new user?  What dollar value are they? Can you get one night in the penthouse with that amount, or is it more like the linen closet?

Looking at your previous post, I take this is an sell attempt. However, even if thats not the case, marriott points arent valid collateral. They can still be easily reversed, they cannot be liquidated easily, you must have an active marriott account thats in good standing for between 30 to 90 days to even transfer. You pretty much get the idea. If you dont have anything else thats valid collateral thats 120% of what youre asking, go on and lock this thread before you receive a negative feedback.

What is the conversion criteria that you are using here to get this value?

I find this amusing that you cam here to this forum where travel nerds are likely to be very less and still asked for a loan with these points as collateral. They are obviously not fitting the picture of what is considered as valid here and a tradeoff would be risky in case (make that "when") you default the loan.

Would it not be better for you to ask a colleague or friend for a similar loan who might be traveling recently?

Is this the Marriott points you're talking about?

How to Earn Points
https://www.marriott.com/loyalty/earn.mi

How to Use Points / Certificates
https://www.marriott.com/loyalty/redeem.mi

I don't know why are you seeking for a loan if you can sell the points who have accumulated or use it instead.

I don't want to sell the points, I want to use them for a vacation. That's why they would be used as collateral that I would expect to get back when the loan was returned.

Looks like a lot of people here with bullshit responses talking about something they know absolutely nothing about.

The idea of this was if someone who uses Marriott rewards was lending, it would be very valid collateral. For reference, if someone was selling Marriott points at the valuation I gave for collateral, I would buy as many as I could afford.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/25k-Marriott-Points-Rewards-Redemption-at-Any-Marriott-Location-Transfer-25-000/333475533465?hash=item4da4b0d299:g:RvQAAOSwkNFcYhIn

Here are 25K Marriott points on ebay, there are 19 bids at $209.50 with 13 hours left. So I think it's safe to say I am offering well more than .025 worth for collateral.

Sell your points on eBay. It's not a valid collateral here and the redemption value and options are shit... so if there is someone willing to pay nearly 1 cent per point just do it.

I could easily do that, but again, I don't want to get rid of them.

Redemption value and options are not shit for someone that actually travels a lot and uses Marriott as their rewards program.

I don't know why you are all up in arms. If there happened to be someone lending BTC that is a Marriott rewards user, this would be a good opportunity. Otherwise, no one needs to lend, no big deal.

Not sure how this wouldn't be valid collateral, btw. You would easily be able to sell them on ebay for more than the value of the bitcoin if the lendee defaulted, or use them yourself for travel if desired to get a room that costs well more than the .025 BTC.

Again, most of you clearly have no idea what you're talking about or anything about the Marriott rewards program.

Good day.

For a globetrotting traveler you're surprisingly desperate to get $200 from strangers on the internet with some niche loyalty program as a collateral. Healthy skepticism is what kept most of us here from being scammed by newbies.

Lol, you're funny. Never claimed to be, but a funny comment Cheesy

And I mean, it's one of the biggest hotel rewards programs in the world, not really THAT niche.

Look, it's simple. I was seeing if there was a fit here. If I was lending, this would work for me. I could easily sell the points for more than the BTC is worth, or use them for myself, so I would have no problem accepting them myself as collateral. But if no lenders here are Marriott rewards members or use ebay, then there are not fits. Not a problem, just means I don't get a loan here. No harm in asking. I don't really know how I could possibly scam if I were to transfer the points to someone's account prior to receiving any bitcoin.

Come on buddy,
If you want to take lending, firstly you must provide valid 120% collateral
The collateral should be easy to exchange, i think marriott points is hard to exchange for money... only saw one on your link
Its only often used for hotels
Also, your account is still new no one will trust you
I suggest you to sell your marriott points or take lending on bank, your family or close friends.

Quite new, I think most of the lenders where would only accept crypto as collateral, actually never heard of your collateral before, because I never get out here. Good luck, but I suggest you follow the norms here to get a loan.
