I think it is difficult for eth to reach the price 1200$ in this year because eth is an old coin, and the price of old coins is more stable it will be difficult to go up high now people prefer to buy new coins rather than old coins

Does old or new coin facts? I don't think so! You can't expect a massive boost in Ethereum within a short time like the Binance IEO coins because Ethereum did those very long ago! If Bitcoin goes for a higher price then Ethereum will go higher too! But I don't think that will happen in this year, 1400$ is really far from Ethereum.

You can't compare the current vs the past because ETH in the past has ICO to boost its value but since ICO now is gone, there's not much that will push ETH on rising up, but Binance still has successful IEO and more in the future, so probably the coin will continue to appreciate.

ico is never been gone but they only degrade  due to the good number of bad projects coming out but there are still good ones  . price boost of btc also give a confidence to the investors to comeback again investing on ico's   . once good number of investors come back and ico trend will become healthy , that was the time etherium will boom again   . there were also ieo and i think ieo and ico didnt realy differ to each other  ?  the only difference is that it is held inside the exchange but the coin creation can still be done under eth right  ? correct me if im wrong

Ethereum is not doing that bad, this was a good rally for them and I am seriously hoping for it to continue going up but honestly I am not 100% sure it could. Not that it won't but it couldn't. Such as the price wants to go up, people keep on buying, there are thousands of people buying thousands of ethereum every single day, but the higher the price goes the easier it gets for miners to sell it and the amount they mine continues to stay the same whereas buyers are buying less ethereum for the same amount of capital because price went up.

That is why I am not entirely sure if it will continue to go like this, I really hope it will but I don't know if it will because lack of money going into it. Let us hope that more and more people will get interested in join in to continue the increase in price and we can reach 1400 mark.

Sniveling did qualify not this year and I believe he is just being realistic.

I agree with you that everything is possible and ETH will someday hit another ATH but it all depends on BTC pumping.  Question is, will BTC hit a new ATH this year?  Once the BTC market is saturated, excess funds will spill towards alts and may grow faster than BTC at that point (note just % growth I am not saying value).  ETH being the strongest alt will definitely benefit the most at that time.

Ethereum is a long term investment! We can't expect the x 4 profit just like that, it's on us to invest and wait for a price to grow. We can't hurry here, we can't have too big expectations, we need to take it easy and wait for it. I believe in Ethereum, and we will see a new all-time high price of Ethereum in the future, but will it happen this year or in the next 5 years, we can't say. Ethereum has a good direction, let's hope that they will continue with that.

 I do not understand people who use words like "impossible" when we are talking about crypto currency. No price is impossible in this market and you should have learn that by now if you have been here long enough. Price of ethereum could be 80 dollars by the end of the year or 2000 dollars, all of them are technically possible. All it takes for it to be 80 dollars is a bad news or something bad happening and everyone fear that and start to sell which triggers a snow ball reaction of everyone else starting to sell and creating a FUD.

Just the opposite is required for the 2000 as well, something amazing happens and price goes up and since price goes up there are more people buying which triggers a bull run into a high price. 1400 is not "impossible", you could however say "improbable" which makes more sense and I would agree with that.

I doubt and highly there are chances of it not reaching 1400$ this year. No one can literally guarantee anything that is related to the coin market cap. Things may go bad resulting in the decrement of the ETH value while if things went good this year, ETH MAY hit 1400$. What I just see is ETH got some unstable kind of growth. We just can't even say that they ain't doing good. I don't find some interesting things that gotta happen this year so to have an increment of ETH to 1400$ this year.
