Let's be real, I don't think the price of ETH would be as high as $1400. In January, 2020 ETH started trading at $139 per coin but in the mid February the price peaked at $279 this happened due to Enjin launching its game development platform on the Ethereum network but for the time being the biggest potential for ETH now lies in the upcoming Ethereum 2.0 update.

to be honest the potential is still there. however, we do not know what future developments will be for ethereum. besides, if ethereum 2.0 was actually launched, it might be able to lift prices higher. however, I also don't see a possibility that prices could actually reach $ 1400, it's just that price developments approaching that remain large.

Honestly, the price of Ethereum won't reach the $1400 price range and i also want you guys that Enjin launching there game app on Eth network wasnt actually the reason why ETH peaked to $279 during February because it post halving effect that make almost all potentials crypto surge during that time.
With that been said, if the pandemic effect with during market manipulation still exists in the market ETH2.0 will barely make ETH surge in price.

if you want to say it is impossible yes it is clearly wrong and if you say yes it is possible that you also can and no. because in crypto everything can happen but we also have to be relevant to the situation, does it make sense that logic can occur.

ethereum is currently at position $ 242 and moves not far either up or down, the same as that experienced by bitcoin.
this indicates that the movement of ethereum is very much influenced by the situation in bitcoin itself.
bitcoin is currently at $ 9,272 and moves in a range not far from $ 9K.

if ethereum at the end of the year reaches $ 1.4K, of course it must be remembered that the movement of ethereum is also due to an increase in bitcoin and that is inevitable.

It's never easy to break the ATH, ETH alone can't do it, it needs some cooperation with Bitcoin as market is only moving when bitcoin is at bullish mode.
Unless it will break the trend, then we might see ETH rising while bitcoin remains neutral or stagnant but it's not likely to happen IMO.

May it's safe if we will just wait til this happen.

Im not even sure when POS will be fully adopted by ethereum and EVM migration into the eWASM will bring a lot of impact to the price of ethereum. If ethereum can reach $500 and that's more than enough to see the price will remain stable at such rate.

With all the negative that happens in our society because of this COVID crisis, All countries are having financial issues, the economy is down. Some investors prefer to buy food and everything for their families, So I guess it will not happen this year. But bitcoin sometimes is having an unusual pump it is unpredictable for sure ETH will follow and other Alcoins if that will happen, bitcoin dominance is really big right now so the influence of bitcoin matters.

The market will run on its own, but of course the problems of the world will have some effect on any market. Currently some altcoin has risen to the top. That is right there is not so more effect on the market than in the past. l would say the market has survived from corona, there is only a little effect. l hope it will be also solved in the near future. All longterm and hardcore supporters and hodlers of ethereum want it to break previous all time high of 1400 by the end of this year so that next year it can easily gear up for massive new highs but even if it underperforms this year due to pandemic or bad economy i still hope that we will atleast see it crossing 1k range.

yeah, so all this goes back to the pandemic effect. Well, if the pandemic doesn't exist anymore, I think the increase in various products will certainly be quite high. I don't really expect high ethereum prices up to $ 1,400, but I feel that it is quite possible for ethereum to reach a price of around $ 400 during this pandemic. it's just that it takes time

If the pandemic exist no more it will take sometime before every crypto in the market would make a serious uptrend in price but the halving influence with the inclusion of the Ethereum 2.0 update then Ethereum can claim the $1400 price range because most investors are up for profit making these day in other to make up for the damage done by the pandemic.

For me it is not yet possible to see that the price of the Ethereum reach $1400 per each because there are too many resistance and the price cannot easily surpass it. The price of the Ethereum is also doing some sideways like the price of the bitcoin, its been a 3 months when its price is starting to consolidate but the good thing is it have bullish bias so any moment it can break the resistance at $250 per each and able to make new higher highs.
