Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I?m not sure about the universe!

I own BSV address its from Handcash app. I have 12 recovery words.

Here is the issue: https://blockchair.com/search?q=17Yv3c1cGDr9NQ6g4CuM3SvLzcKw7qTU4N

I tried ElectrumSV with deriavation path m/0' etc. but without success.

Do you own the private key belonging to that adress (in your BSV wallet?)

If so; all you have to do is export the private key of 17Yv3c1cGDr9NQ6g4CuM3SvLzcKw7qTU4N, and then IMPORT the same private key into a Bitcoin wallet such as Electrum. https://electrum.org/#home

I'm not sure if the seed of Handcash is compatible with Electrum, but otherwise that is also something you can do (try) (as suggested by royse)

Edit: i've been playing around a bit with the Handcash (BETA) app in the Playstore through Bluestacks, and exporting the seed into electrum; it does not generate the same adresses for me (either).

I'll try some workarounds.

Download electrum from https://electrum.org/#download and then verify the signature before installing it. Use restore wallet and use those seed to have the BTC wallet for the same seed. You will have access of the BTC .

If I am not too wrong then his 12 words seed will work too to restore the full wallet not just the single wallet address. @AdolfinWolf

Handcash seed isn't compatible with Electrum. I have generated seed key for Handcash and tried to import it in Electrum but it doesn't let me in.
There's only way to get the BTC is importing the private key as above suggested.
To get the private key, you can probably get it from Handcash, if not, you can import the seed into ElectrumSV and get the private key.

Have you imported the seed into ElecteumSV? If so, you can select the receiving address and click right button of your mouse. You will get option for private key.
I guess there's no way of getting private key from Handcash app, I'm not sure though.

You need to download ElectrumSV- this is an electrum FORK of the bitcoin version of Electrum, specifically made for BITCOINSV.

Then; you need to click -> Restore wallet -> I already have a seed.

Fill in your seed; and when they ask you for the derivation path; use :  m/0' (Use exactly this; or you will get the wrong adress.)

Then, go to 17Yv3c1cGDr9NQ6g4CuM3SvLzcKw7qTU4N; right click on it and click PRIVATE KEY.

Then; copy the private key, leave the redeemscript for what it is..

Then; download Electrum (Which is the non-forked version in which you will be able to see your bitcoin balances, instead of your bitcoinSV balances.)

Once you downloaded electrum, create a new wallet -> import private keys or adresses. -> paste the private key. voila; your funds should be there.

There's probably an easier way to do this; but this works for me.

Did you change the derivation paths? Again, it seems to be working for me.

Have you checked BIP39 while restoring? There's option to below the seed box. I didn't try myself but I have found a tutorial, it's working. Don't know what's wrong with you.

In addition, make sure you are using the official electrum wallet downloaded from- electrum.org

I'd recomment not to ever enter any seeds into an untrusted wallet on a machine that has internet access (or will get internet access again later). This is how people have lost their Bitcoins!

Another warning: don't trust users who send you a PM, and for sure don't trust anyone with your 12 recovery words!!

Yes I did.

Are you sure that the seed phrase backup you have is generated from the handcap wallet app?
Your seed phrase backup might be generated from other wallets?

Unfortunately I have already tried it. ElectrumSV doesn't show my address Sad

Do you mean you can't find the address under the addresses tab?

Try to increase the gap limit on the wallet console.

Sample command below to increase the gap limit:

Code:
wallet.change_gap_limit(100)

Type this command after that the result should be "True" something like that. Then reopen the electrumsv again it must show more addresses under the addresses tab then look for your address.

If you can't still find try to increase the gap limit again (100) to (200).

AdolfinWolf's post should work, have you included the apostrophe (') after the '0'? It should be added.

Also, you shouldn't be looking in the receive tab, open the addresses tab by clicking "view->show addresses"
Then click 'addresses' beside 'Coin Splitting' tab.

There's probably an easier way to do this; but this works for me.
After confirming that the address is there, just open ElectrumSV's wallet file using Electrum (browse to the location).
