I also expected the Everton team to be ready for the occasion considering Ancelotti was going back to the place where he won the premier league and FA cup double (winning both in the same season). He was at Chelsea for just 2 seasons before getting sacked but made an impression. I thought Everton would pose more of a threat but they allowed Chelsea to control the game. Well done to Chelsea for not letting Everton have an easy match. Lampard has done very well in his first season and apart from a couple of results Ancelotti has completely changed Everton and made them a good team too.

About the other game, I think Manchester City believed they would win the game but were surprised at how sharp Manchester United were when they had the ball. I think Manchester City had around 76-78% possession of the ball whereas Manchester United had just 22-24% but they gave very little opportunity to them. That top 4 fight between them and Chelsea looks intriguing but if Manchester City lose their appeal and are banned from all European competitions next season it means whoever finishes in 5th place will get in to the European Champions League next season.

@JollyGood I’m surprised that Chelsea won so easily against Everton, as I was expecting Ancelotti side to offer more resistance but they simply surrendered the match right from the start and were deservedly thrashed. Further Manchester United playing style surprised Pep who was not expecting such quality from Manutd and credit for this goes to Bruno, as it’s because of him that the entire team is reinvigorated. It’s also worth mentioning that the finishes from Martial and Mctominay were simply brilliant, and hopefully now Manchester United will end the season at the number four spot in the league.

I am surprised with United's defence after many beginners' mistakes they seemed amateurish, they have 4/5 clean sheets. The only goal is against Everton and De Gea's stupidity.

Man City vs Arsenal has been postponed over COVID-19 fears, decision was said to be take after Olympiakos owner who was at the Emirates stadium about 2 weeks ago (for the 2nd leg fixture against Arsenal) has been tested positive for the virus.

Yes Mahrez threat wasn't enough because after Mahrez caused Havoc, Ole brought on Bailly, and pushed him to center back. Which led to Shaw tackling Mahrez.
He later got frustrated and swapped wings with Sterling, only to be pocketed by Wan Bissaka at the other end.

Liverpool won the European Champions League last season but lost 1-0 to Athletico Madrid in the first leg. If Liverpool lose or draw tonight they will be out of the competition and it will be Athletico Madrid that go through to the quarter-finals. If they win 1-0 then it goes to extra time with the scores being 1-1 on aggregate but the problem is for 1 goal Athletico Madrid score Liverpool will have to score 2 goals to counter it because of the away goals rules.

In the English Premier League the game between Manchester City and Arsenal has been called off because of coronavirus fears.

In the Europa League games tomorrow both games involving English clubs will definitely be going ahead but will be played win no fans present in the stadiums: LASK vs Manchester United and also Olympiakos vs Wolverhampton Wanderers.

European Champions League holders are out of the competition, they were beaten 2-3 at Anfield. They are going to be crowned Premier League champions for the first time ever but it will be bitter-sweet because they were so close to getting through to the quarter-finals of the European Champions League.

All of the Premier League, English Football League, Women's Super League and Womens Championship fixtures have been postponed until 3rd April 2020.

The Premier League said games would resume on 4th April 2020 "subject to medical advice and conditions at the time" but they could be postponed further.

This is the best decision to be taken by the English football league, because healthiness should always come first and i do hope that come the 3rd of April, there will have been several recoveries around the globe.

Now is the time. Hodl meetings with UEFA on how to suspend the euro2020 till next year perhaps.

We should also remember to wash and sanitize ourself.

Luckily I think common sense will prevail, the Euro’s will be delayed & the PL season will finish when the peak of the Corona Virus has passed.

Immediately after this decision, a postponement announcement was made in the German leagues. I think the Corona virus will continue to cause more problems. Competitions played without spectators and postponement decisions are announced one after another. Personally, I never thought it would reach such a big point. I hope everything returns to normal as soon as possible.

If the premier league and football league was completely cancelled for the 2019/2020 season meaning there were no winners and there were no relegations/promotions throughout - then it will hit hard for many teams. some are fighting in the championship to get promoted to the premier league and some are in the premier league trying to avoid relegation to the championship. The same scenario is played out across all

More than any other club facing winning their respective league in England, it would be an absolute disaster for Liverpool FC and its fans if they were to have the 2019/2020 season ended early before they mathematically made it certain they were winners. They waited 30 years to win the top league, they won 18 Division 1 titles which was the forerunner to the premier league but since the premier league was created in 1992/93 season - Liverpool have never won it.

Just 6 teams have won the premier league. Only Manchester United have won it three times consecutively and they did it on two occasions. Chelsea and Manchester City are the only other clubs to have won the premier league in consecutive years. Blackburn Rovers shocked the world with their win in the 1994/95 season and so did Leicester City when they won the premier league in 2015/16 season:
