Hi, I am having troubles getting my miner up and running (scrypt only) I have used the suggested mining softwarere from this blog http://cryptomining-blog.com/1165-download-cpuminer-for-gridseed-5-chip-gc3355-asics-with-reduced-power-usage/ I get a error when i click on miner.exe, see picture below. I i use the bat file it seems that the miner is working but i suspect no share`s are accepted, please see picture below. I try to use more that one pool, multipool.us, megamultiepool For that last pool this are my worker name and passw. stratum+tcp://scrypt.megamultipool.com:3335 worker naam is ZetaOS.dual2 I have changed the com poort to com2 using the STMicroelectronics Virtual Com Port, Port2 seems to be free, i have tried other ports as well, and ofcourse edit it in the miner.bat file. Picture divicemanager comport 2 free My bat file looks like thisminerd.exe --freq=650 --gc3355=COM2 -o stratum+tcp://scrypt.megamultipool.com:3353 -u ZetaOS.dual2 -p x Also tryed this bat file settings minerd.exe --freq=650 --gc3355=COM2 -o stratum+tcp://scrypt.megamultipool.com:3353 -u ZetaOS.dual2 -p x Video whit the trouble i have http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GhhDlJZT0wsSorry for my bad English, but as anyone have a clue what i am doing wrong here?

I can't help you but I'm really interested in a solution. Because I get exactly the same as you. I tried everything but nothing works.
The only thing I can imagine is that the bios of the device might be broken.

At least that would be my guess ... Since some mining software i showing a Hashrate and everything is pluged in an installed. I mean what else could it be ?
Btw do you have a second miner ? I'll get a second one soon. And then I can test that one as well.

No, not yet... Hope someone knows what the problem might be. Can the firewall be the problem?

I can not find other whit the same problem, i still think we are doing something wrong. How is your bat file looking? Also found this"Now the key is you have to remember the com assigned to the miner before you apply the usb driver with zadig as this is still secretly the com port to use in cpu miner" Source: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=487419.60i am not from of the miner right now, so can try it out in 7 hours

Okey, just went home early whit a idea.... Remove the stsw-stm32102 diver as mentiond in eyeboot his video(I used cc clearer for that) Nuw plugin Reboot pc and miner--->pluging power-->pluging usb after 30 seconds--> locate port, you will see the virtual comport is still there. Change port number (for me form 13 to2) to two if its free. Set speed to 750 in bat file and unplug usb! Reboot miner and pc--->plug in usb press bat file. I get this now, not sure its running perfect....how do i check hardware errors? Is this a normal miner hashing algorithm?Youtube shot hashing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TvjOzHydSo0

I have the same issue with one of mine. It shows up in cpuminer, cgminer, bfgminer etc with a hashrate but never accepts anything. Also, only blinking the green light. Probably DOA. Ahh the joys of being pioneers in a new tech

I have the same issue with my gc3355. I followed Zeta's advice and I got it to work in cpuminer where it is showing accepting work and finding nonces constantly just as in the screenshot above. The problem I have is that I go to my mining pool and see that it is detecting my 300kh/s rate on the Scrypt pool but I have not received a single credit for anything in 8-10 hours of mining, which is NOT what happens when I mine with my far inferior sha256 ASICs.
If I use the special Windows version of cgminer for the gc3355 with the zadig drivers, i show a hash rate (on both BTC and LTC modes) but I get absolutely 0 accepted or rejected work and 0 Best Share.

Im having same problem with a device I received yesterday. So far spent about 10 hrs trying to get it to work. Tried 3-4 different images on rpi as well as about 5 different builds of all the Windows PC tools on 3 different pools. I hope it is a device problem rather than an operator issue On RPI device shows up as /dev/ttyACM0 On PC shows up correctly as a STM32 COM port..

Let me describe the solution to my own problem about "No accepted shares" in case it might benefit somebody whose search brings them to this thread. I have two separate farms of gridseeds, but when I wanted to learn to use Raspberry Pi, I went to a third location. I wanted just a standalone rig where Pi and I could get acquainted. No hub, just USB straight from Pi to GS. For power supply, I used a single-unit, "12v 1A" supply that came with one of my Gridseeds. And that power supply is what turned out to be the problem. As soon as the theory hit me that the power supply didnt have enough ass, I wanted to check the voltage under the load of the GS. It has a molded plug, so no screwing off the plastic cover to get at the terminals. If it had regular twin lead running to it, I could have stuck a needle in each wire and measured the voltage that way, but no, it's coaxial cable. So I hooked up another power supply, and bam bam bam one acceptance after another. It's a blessing, really, I learned lots more about the Pi than I would have... I can't help you but I'm really interested in a solution. Because I get exactly the same as you. I tried everything but nothing works.
The only thing I can imagine is that the bios of the device might be broken.

Further troubleshooting for me reveals the following:
cgminer recognizes hardware and shows hash rate, but never gets any rejected or accepted work and Best Share is always 0. This is true using cgminer 3.8.5-gridseed-windows (mining sha256) and using cgminer 3.7.2-gridseed-windows (mining scrypt)
The red light flashes on when mining scrypt using cpuminer but not when mining sha256 using cgminer.
cpuminer-GC3355-win32-fixed seems to connect (similar to Zeta) and reports finding nonces. My mining pool also shows a hash rate of about 300kh/s so the mining pool seems to recognize that there is a hash rate. When cpuminer starts up and connects to the pool it almost immediately starts displaying the blue and green nonce found messages so it appears that it is working. The pool (megamultipool) displays the hash rate but does not show that I have contributed to any work at all for almost 36 hours. Connecting to a different pool (mooncoinpool) appears to be similar in that the screen shows that it is working, but the pool isn't giving me credit for any work or even recognizing my hash rate in this case. I also noted on mooncoinpool that it will almost instantly report a bunch of nonces immediately when starting up, but then there will be nothing for a long time except "Stratum detected new block" until I restart it in which I will see the blue and green success messages almost immediately.
It seems odd that multiple versions of cgminer report hash rate but never send anything to the server. It also seems odd that cpuminer also appears to be working but really is not. This could potentially be a driver issue but I have tried all of the recommended drivers (zadag winUSB for cgminer and the above linked by Zeta for cpuminer) so I am wondering if I need to send this unit back because it is defective?
Hopefully some of this helps somebody else troubleshoot this issue more quickly, I'm several hours deep into it now thinking the issue could be me doing something wrong but I'm not sure thats the case at this point.
Edit: Great point above by Goldcab. I wonder if the red light coming on when mining Scrypt but not when Sha is an indicator that I have the same power supply issue?

any solution? I have tried everything from cpuminer, cgminer, minerd, bfgminer on windows 7 on two PC, all raspberry pi images (scrypta etc) all show it is hashing at 361kh/s but no shares either accepted or rejected. Also all pools show 0kh/s I have also installed zadig and everything 10 times Gridseed just blinks a green LED every one second from the moment I plug the USB on a computer. I have never seen the red LED to blink. it is always off. can anyone help? thanks
