Looking for help for recover my money. I have update electrum wallet to the 3.38 version through the electrum.org, then I've sent 0.01434287 BTC to the recipient address - 24 hours ago. But in the recipient account there is still no money. I think they are lost. What happened and what can i do to get my money back?

Can you check a third-party block explorer such as https://blockchair.com that can confirm you send the funds to the right adress? (This is step one?) If not; there's your problem. You most likely either 1. downloaded a fake Electrum version (malicious), or 2. got a popup to download a fake electrum version (this was an exploit in older versions of electrum. Tell us: did you download a "new" version of electrum through a popup in Electrum?) (You can check if your version of Electrum is legitimate by verifying the .exe /setup signature which can be found on the site.) 3.otherwise got infected by something (clipboard hijacker which replaced your adress for example.) If any of the above happend, your money is most likely gone. Otherwise: If the money's there, and the transaction is confirmed; the ball is in the park of the recipient. It could be that they are scamming you; or if they're a company; they might have problems with their service infrastructure, or the script you're using (Native segwit) to send the transaction, without more information, this could be a plethora of things.

To know what happened, we would need more information like a transaction ID, but It's up to you if you want to provide it. It won't harm your security, just your privacy. Otherwise, do as AdolfinWolf suggested, check your transaction ID from Electrum (and/or the address you sent to) on a blockexplorer: https://live.blockcypher.com/https://blockchair.com/https://blockstream.info/See if the transaction is "known" by the network.

See if the transaction is "known" by the network.
If the transaction is known/seen, check the number of confirmations and if the recipient address is the one you expect to be.

Are you sure that your electrum wallet is synchronized? Check if your wallet same like below, If its show green on your software then fund should be reflected there. If you directly downloaded from official website as you mentioned, so wallet should be safe. If you downloaded from popups there is risk. So please check on block explorer with address if your fund is there. Other questions is, from where you have sent fund? Any exchange or from any other investment site like ponzi scheme. Please share more details and receiving address if you don't have privacy problem, posting address will not harm anything except privacy.

I will advice to follow the advise giving to you by user AdolfinWolf in terms of verifying the wallet .exe because any version of electrum wallet which is older than 3.3.4 are said to be vulnerable to phishing but if that's the problem then the problem will be from the transaction recipient ending. In the mean time, I will advise you to provide the transaction ID so the forum can look deep into it. Are you sure that your electrum wallet is synchronized? Check if your wallet same like below, If the wallet is not fully sync his wallet balance wont be fully updated.

First of all check your transaction is confirmed or not,if you sent bitcoin with very low transaction fee then it will take too long to get confirmed. And also verify that you downloaded the official electrum site https://electrum.org/#home

I think Electrum is no longer accepting zero fees it will be rejected by the network nodes. 1 sat/byte fee is fine but it still depends on the network traffic. But the network traffic is low the transaction with 1 sat/byte might be around 24hrs or a few hours.
You can use this tool to estimate the time and calculate how much fee as a reference to estimate the time if the network congestion is high or low. - https://www.buybitcoinworldwide.com/fee-calculator/

Are you sure that your electrum wallet is synchronized? Check if your wallet same like below, If the wallet is not fully sync his wallet balance wont be fully updated. I tried this before, it was synchronizing but when I set transaction there's a pop-up and say need to update to the latest version of electrum. Once it is an outdated version of the electrum it won't work in any transactions and there's nothing wrong if you click update and make it sure it is the right site to download the latest version( https://electrum.org/#download). Once you were misled on phishing site that the time you probably be hacked. @OP, just follow the suggestion above and check your address as what AdolfinWolf suggested. I hope those replies above will help you and let us know here also if have an update.

If you think you need to have the latest version of Electrum to make things work, this is certainly not the case. Version 3.3.4 works as normal as last available 3.3.8, but it's always advisable to use the latest version because of all the improvements and fixes that have been made to previous versions.
OP problem is maybe solved, maybe not - but until he comes up with a little more information we can only guess what exactly happened.

I dont know if that is still working but this is what I had experienced before when I was paying shashan of my loan. I tell her/him about that matter and what is the reason for showing an error notification and I can't proceed with the sending process. He/she responded and say just try to update to a new version but make it sure I have the seed word phrase including the password. Good thing I have screenshot left as a reference, this is notif popup on my wallet. To cut a long story into short, I updated it into the new version ( 3.3.8 ) and the transaction was successfully done.

You have an older version than 3.3.4 because this message clearly shows that this was a phishing attack asking you to update to v 4.0.0 which never existed as a legit wallet. Fortunately, developers have been able to change this message and make it difficult for users to automatically download a fake wallet. Based on this post you are using version 3.3.2+, and there you can see what it looked like before.

You escaped the phishing attack because you download the latest version through electrum genuine site but i don't think all this is the cause of the OP question because he claimed to have downloaded the 3.3.8 version through electrum.org and i think his silenced and no update mean the problem is settled. I've had this before, actually i get this quite frequently (being the first to respond to an, what later turns out to, inactive/nonresponsive OP), and i was thinking sooner or later people would start questioning these threads with an OP that has 1 post and doesn't reply to the thread ever again. I have to admit, it kind of looks weird/suspicious that i replied only 5 minutes after OP posted the thread, . Oh well.

The forum is full of disgusting threads submitted by newbies when their alts have no more megathreads to reply to, but thinking that every reply here has the purpose of filling the post count of their sig campaign is wrong. e.g. I've seen Lucius on BitcoinTalk in many threads and don't consider he's one of these spammers, yet he has a few posts in this thread..

The other possibility is that the newbie figured out his issue (with or without our help,) and just never returned to let us know. That's what I suspect. Looking at his profile you can see that he created his account, posted the question, and hasn't logged in since. He could have come back to read the answers without logging in, but the fact that he hasn't does lend credence to your suspicion.

It's either he gave up because he doesn't know his way around this forum thinking he would receive notification for new response, or he has sorted it out already. But good thing solution has already been provided which is going to be useful for other members that doesn't know this. u cant recover your wallet bro becouse u did wrong things
I guess you read the whole thread before you dropped this. Op is looking to recover BTC not wallet.
