He said time and time again in different interviews that, if BTC price doesn't get $1M by end of 2020, he will eat his D|ck live on tv. He explained time and time again as to why BTC will go to $1M. 

But as expected from a liar, he is now backing down from his claim. His tweet:

Him calling bitcoin "ancient technology" is definitely disappointing and very ignorant of him, but let's be honest here. Realistically speaking, do you really think he would eat his meat shaft just because he lost a bet that's pretty much just sealed by oral contract? Especially on live television?

Sincerely, how many of us actually believed him that he will actually do that.. on national television. Let's be serious. Of course that his actions were manipulative and his arrogance is beyond any limits but he's free to say whatever he wants on his public page. Nevertheless I don't agree with his statement that Bitcoin is ancient technology. Internet is not ancient technology, telephone is not ancient technology so why would Bitcoin and blockchain be that?

The Bitcoin blockchain is very flexible and is a technological fountain. Many things can be built on and around it. LN and smart contracts are just small examples.

What did you expect him to do? Really to eat? Friends, there are so many charlatans on the market. McAfee is just one of them. We're talking about a person who even cheats his own country by tax. Unfortunately, there have been many people who have been listening to what this man has been saying for years.

He is just another fud'ders anymore.

I didn't believe it too. I wouldn't really wanted to see someone eat a real dick on TV that would be grose. I'm still Mcaffee fan despite all the coins he supported that were actually scam. He is still one of the bitcoin supporter that made BTC popular.  But considering BTC an ancient technology is just not right. I think he is not just fudding around anymore.

People are always making their very own prediction on what the currency might be in the years ahead and sometimes it goes well for them and at other times it just doesn't pan out. His prediction was very unrealistic considering that bitcoin highest value has only been at $20K. Bitcoin getting to $1M will take a very long time and am going to say maybe 20 to 50 years.

Did you really expect him to eat his dick?? I mean seriously??

John Mcafee may be a mad man. He is also one of the most notable supporters of cryptocurrency. While the corporates are trying to demoralize crypto users big time, we need supporter like him around us!

One thing I disliked about him is his attempt to promote ICOs without knowing the legitimacy of it. But for bitcoin, he is a rock-solid support. His approach is probably very different than a normal human being, but he is no normal human being!

I think avikz is right, it's not like what McAfee said sounded serious. If we promised to transfer a million dollars to a well-established charity if he loses, now that would be another thing. And to be fair, even though I think there's no chance Bitcoin will be $1M by the end of the year, there are still 11 months left, so technically McAfee did not lose yet. The latest message of his, however, is of course disappointing. But not because he won't eat his dick. It's because he does not believe in Bitcoin anymore, he thinks that it's not even the future of cryptos. And I don't think he could be more wrong about that.

Right then and there I never expected too much from the guy. I believed that he was just trolling in order to gather attention to bitcoin and to himself, and that's what happened. He was a bright guy; a likeable one if you may, but his greed of money and the attention that he received worldwide changed that. He wouldn't really eat his dick on live TV, and those who think so are completely delusinal as well sans the thought of bitcoin reaching $1M in just a couple of years.

All those are just for a show, and hardly a serious talk, at all.

Frankly speaking i don't know why most of us waste the time listening to this dude anyway. He is an enthusiast for crypto mass adoption especially but i don't like his style of making all these insane price claims and later going back on his own words. I don't really give much attention to what he says about the price of bitcoin, i hodl what i can afford to lose and always take the profits when i am able to make some.

A lot of people did! He has a lot of follower. And I still remember when he calls a coin (he named as a "coin of the day), a lot of people buying that coin quickly. He was working like pump group sometimes and crowd was joining him. I never follow his call because I knew he is completly frauders.

I respect the contribution of Mr John on the area of Cybersecurity, but his style of shilling cryptocurrencies can lead new babes to their quick grave when expectations are not meant. Don't forget he has a whole multitude of disciples across the globe.

he can influence something as a popular person, at least people's attention to bitcoin moves quite a lot when he says that sentence. When market conditions are judged to be uncertain at $ 1 million in 2020, there is nothing to trust but to look at price developments naturally, he regards it as humor and I'm sure he will repeat the same thing if bitcoin starts moving higher than now.

We never believe him when he said BTC will be $1M anyway, I seriously think there is no reason to also believe he will swallow his dick on tv. You can just ignore him when it comes to speculation now that we know he exaggerate his predictions and now he also post fud. He recently said its an ancient technology anymore which you can think of it like he didn't understood BTC  at all.
