yes is sapphire pulse with stok bios. maybe try the last bios with 160tdp and high clocks , but I think it will not improve mining performance would be interesting memory timings in 5000 series

It seems an interesting card but the hashrate looks the same as gtx 1080 but it gives you better power draw. How about the memory type and temp of the card? Did you try to push the memory clock more. How about the price of the card? İs it only gpu or all system?
My guess it's only a card not the whole system.

Decided to end it with zer0 profit.

5600 42 mhs is not bad, slightly lower than the 5700 50 mhs, 20% difference and price is around 20% difference too, apples to apples this is okay, in my view, 5700 is more cost efficient.

All this is great but what about pos? Any idea on a date? I have cheap electricity and would buy a lot but with pos looming i can't justify it.

if amd wants their 5500, 5600, 5700 to be out of stock, they just need to pump cryptocoins 700%, easy hehe, the corporativism crypto price manipulation might be just around the corner but i would buy coins at this moment.

PoS? Proof of stake aint coming that soon, but as it does change from my understanding it will be phased in (hybrid - bit of both). Unfortunately its the value of crypto being so low right now that will take much longer to return on the investment. Your call. I think the 5600 cards will be nicely placed for AMD friendly algo's, but they need to be around the £200 mark rather than the launch price of £270 that we are seeing.

Disclaimer: Numbers may vary from card to card and miner to miner. I'm using '5700' numbers applicable to me and '5600XT' numbers provided in the screenshot by the OP. Rounded. Electricity $0.30 kW (This is much more than for most people.) Stock bios. The 111W used is my "worst" performing card. They can go 10% lower in some cases. ________________________________________________________________
5600XT 75W / 42Mh = 1.785714285714286 Watt per Mh 1.785WMh / 1000 = 0.001785 kW per Mh 0.001785 * $0.30 = $0.0005355 per Mh
Validation test $0.00005355 * 42 = $0.0225 per hour $0.30 * 0.075kW = $0.0225 per hour
--------------------------------------------------------
5700 non-XT 111W / 53Mh = 2.094339622641509 Watt per Mh 2.094WMh / 1000 = 0.002094 kW per Mh 0.002094 * $0.30 = $0.000628 per Mh
Validation test $0.0006282 * 53Mh = $0.0333 per hour $0.30 * 0.111kW = $0.0333 per hour
-------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------------
Result 5600XT: $0.0005355 per Mh running cost 5700 non-XT: $0.000628 per Mh running cost If all these numbers leave you confused at this point, the 5600XT here is better performance. But mind the disclaimer!

NOTE! Something I didn't include in the calculation is the power used by the fans. Why is this important? A blower Fan will easily add another 23 Watt to the power consumption. (30W peak) For the other fans you'd have to look it up. I personaly would add another 5 Watt per fan in the calculation on average.
If you want to do your own calculations: Power_consumption / Mh = A A / 1000 = B B * Electricity_cost = X

Yeah it will be hybrid at least for few years, so there is a litlebit of mining still top go.

Buying an ETh asic is most riskiest as buying an asic miner. You better get Latest BTC miner, which would be much safer.

Looks like the newest ant miner will be making zero once the reward is cut in half.

It is cut on half every 4 years. It was cut on half just after Antminer S9 released, and it was still profitable for another 3 years. Technically long term Bitcoin price should increase unless demand stays the same or more. Simple math. Less daily supply should push price up.

Would be way cheaper for them to just unlock bios so that we could play with timings Imagine 5700 with 60+ MH/s or even more (RX580 gains were close to 50% modified vs unmodified BIOS)
