What are the chances the House of Lords will be abolished in the near future? Some other way to keep the House of Commons in check should not be too difficult to try and set up.
I don't see why we don't just appoint a panel of more high court judges.
Afaik, there are currently 13, if we increased that to 33 and got a random 20 to sit on bills (maybe with one chairman that heads the meeting) and allows the 20 justices (and whoever else wants to vote on it from the team) the opportunity to find any ammendments..
