Well you can't use Threadripper on that motherboard. You need a motherboard with socket TR4 for Threadripper 2950x. Also I would go with more RAM if you should CPU mine on it as well. Better buy a Ryzen 3900x or something if you are planning to CPU mine, more cost efficient.

Also, the power supplies are a bit over powered, even for that system. Go with one 1600 and one cheaper maybe like 750 W. If you run it efficent you will consume like top 200 W per GPU.

Well, Radeon VII is a great video card, but you have already thought about replacing it with rx 5700 xt, it has a great cost x benefit ratio, soon the new radeon cards will arrive, rx 5900 xt (navi 21) twice more computing units than rx 5700 xt (navi 10)

Corsair, EVGA, Cooler Master, Seasonic are good manufacturers, but in my humble opinion, Corsair is the best brand

Nowadays you can give up on the efficiency of "cost to mh ratio" and buy products that are ready made and could make profits in the long term. Of course you would be spending more money on hardware than you normally would yourself but you are also getting both security of someone who knows what they are doing giving you a prebuilt rig, on top of that you are getting insurance in case your product is not working right or breaks down.

Shark Mini for example is the most loved version of it, sure you could get something cheaper if you do it yourself but at the same time, does everyone have the same tech knowledge of building something better than a shark mini for less money? Not many people do.

The problem is that none of these GPU's actually live up long enough, you can still mine with a 1060 for example but the amount of improvements that new products brings on top of electricity rates usually going up yearly and difficulty rising on top of some halvings in some coins, you end up with actually getting worse and worse profits every year. Sure its a good investment for your first few years but what are you going to do in 5 years? You will be forced to reinvest most of your income into building something bigger and newer to keep up.

That is why I suggest people, if they are going to go in with just one rig, they shouldn't really bother, you may end up slightly a bit on profit if everything goes according to plan, yet that is a big risk to take for such a small stake, however if you are planning on building a bunch of rigs, that might actually be worth it.

b250
13 x RX5600XT Nitro+
Pentium or i3
4Gb ram
couple Gb usb stick 3.x
2x platinum/titanium PSU (1800W combined)
mmpos

Here is why: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5220105.msg53698799#msg53698799
I have 5700's, not 5600's.
But I'd gladly trade them + some cash in hand Smiley
The other components are literally what I use.

Why not VII's?
I'm assuming better Navi support in time, both driver as miner-wise.

BTW, what's the deal with you guys putting threadrippers on a b250?!

DO NOT buy Radeon VIIs I had 12 and had to RMA 8, they have a habit of burning up.  Still have 3 running but its a crap shoot and the odds are not in your favor.

5700s are king right now.

RadeonVII really cant be the best choice. RX5600 or RX5700 will be much better. Yet, i think CPU mining in such a way cant be useful. As for me - 12*RX5700 + i3 +4Gb - really more effectively.

What is the cost of Rx 5900 xt (navi 21) ??
I think you can get it around $300-500

Radeon vii still very expensive here in my country they seems know the pricing should be around $400 for this card.

So, I agree that rx5700xt are most effective and profitable compared to Randeon Vii but if you can buy this card cheaper it will be worth than rx5700.

Solving blocks can't be solved without my rigs.
