Yeah, all schools are encouraging every single kids to appreciate this little usual moment, and celebrate it to your heart content. Btw Corona-chan is welcome too, there is nothing wrong too with just a tiny piece of virus, we need that badly. I saw a video promoting kids to run away from the ang pao, I don't know if that has always been a thing or this was due to the fear of Corona-chan corrupting the kids. Also, why do I feel that you dislike these relatives of yours? LOL. Anyway celebrations should be over by now, I hope you at least enjoyed the food.

Belated Happy Lunar New Year and I hope the NCoV didn't rained on you party too much. I understand the "pain". Not just New Year's but pretty much every large annual gathering goes like this . It's basically a way for relatives to keep tabs on each other's current social/economic standing, whether someone's lagging (in which case you get "advise") or leaving them behind (in which case they'll simmer quietly while "being happy" for you LOL).

Today is the Chinese New Year and these are just words of encouragement and encouragement from their relatives. In Asia, Chinese culture has a wide influence on the surrounding countries so I understand this, I am also an Asian. All these words want to motivate you to become a better person and they want you to be better in the new year. they have no negative thoughts, they are all willing to help each other. They still have fun and gambling. I am not of the Chinese ancestry though I am Asian too. Here in my county, the Chinese culture is quite a pervasive one since they are dominating the business scene, holding a great percentage of our country's capital and wealth. We generally admire the Chinese culture because they are very entrepreneurial, and they know what they want and are so willing to sacrifice a lot just to get there, many of the traits that we also want to have. I and my family are not so familiar with the Chinese New Year because we are not celebrating it, but we are always aware of this festival because they are always mentioned in the mainstream and social media every year. Sadly, we have this false idea that doing what Chinese are doing can also be bringing luck to our side when in fact we usually do not understand the traits and the sacrifice that Chinese businessmen/women are putting up to be successful.

Anyways, belated Chinese New year, and btw, it doesn't have any significant effect on the market price.

If you’re curious it’s the day many people gathering to convince you
You need to pay taxes You need to use bank You need to get married You need to invest You need to get a job
AMA anything.
Brb I’m getting out of this fake fakestival It’s the day you’re expect by many to spend a lot of money just to please your parent your gf and your kids.
Your wife have high expectation, your gf have high expectation, your kids have high expectation, and they will compare you on every corner.
For one, Chinese New year is not only a Chinese holiday. many countries other than China are also celebrating. It’s a holiday there where a lot of people go traveling, so the idea is they’re taking money out of the market for other things during this time. It’s expected that the money will go back into the market when the holiday is over. If you look at the last few years you will see each year before Chinese New Year prices have majorly dropped. History tends to repeat itself. Also after Chinese New Year they tend to go way up. Expect major dip Weds and Thurs and next week prices to increase.

Btw the celebration is far from over, I think it’ll usually last for a few weeks, and don’t forget the white Christmas to follow in the coming weeks, I’d expect the impact on the bitcoin price to be little or nothing. ===

Looking like the lunar year or whatever you guys call it didn't make as much trouble for btc as we imagined it might have. It did dropped a bit for a while and reached to like 8200ish levels but now its back over 8600 and honestly that is good enough for me.
If the price goes down that is very scary, we don't know if it will continue to go down or what will happen, however whenever price recovers from a fall that means we are still in the bullish times and nothing major may have for a little more while, I am not saying bitcoin will never go down under 8k or something here, but at least for a little bit more while we are in the bull run and we may yet to see still higher prices like 10k or even more if these continue to happen, it all depends on if we will be able to break the resistance or not.

it's fake because...... you don't agree on how they celebrate? having different views and culture doesn't mean one's festival is fake. just curious what your criteria of a genuine festival? Wow, they also hire fake boy/girlfriends there too? Do they also hire fake parents? I thought that was only a Japanese thing.
yes, parents for rent is also a thing in China I read an article about it a few years ago but kids usually rent a parent for a school-related issue(which is funny and sad at the same time) and the hire a BF and GF is usually to stop the parents from asking their child to get a boyfriend/girlfriend and start a family.

=== Good observation, I would expect the same too, bitcoin price would always react to FUD, and I don’t think a merely lunar new year has much impact. === snip
It's celebrated here in my country but I'm not ethnic Chinese. The closest I got to celebrating it is eating fried nian gao but even that we didn't do this year. I'm also the laggard in parties. I just listen to the advice I receive, most seem nice anyway. I just try not to feel bad, I'm lucky my family tend to be unpretentious. === Yeah, just look at the greeting card that’s written typically in moon rune that’s actually translated into many good advices, usually in four letters. But the fried short cake seem to be a lost relic recently, and wonder why it’s not often to be found on the market. === Wow, they also hire fake boy/girlfriends there too? Do they also hire fake parents? I thought that was only a Japanese thing. [/quote] === Yeah it’s tedious work for most busy working classes, nobody have spare time for this intimacy moment that amount to nothing but just a feel good. Hiring a new freelance acting on on the position every year seem to be very decent decision. Hiring parent seem to be excessive, but for the sake of social status it seem make sense, also hiring good looking kids too, nobody want to have a plastics looking kid.😂 === Yeah, I heard about digital payments being the norm now in China. Just surprised kids are running away from the envelope. Where I live kids are supposed to pay respects of sort when it is handed to them. Maybe it's just a mainland thing? === Digital payment has been taking the world by storm in the last few years, I didn’t get very familiar with that prior to 2008, I think my first encounter with a truly reputable digital payment processor would be around 2013-2014, many earlier prototypes are usually scams, anyone remember liberty dollar? However there would be no turning back to physical money, everything you can bought over the internet ship from the China that only accept digital payment, new generation kids can never remember the cash ever existed. === it's fake because...... you don't agree on how they celebrate? having different views and culture doesn't mean one's festival is fake. just curious what your criteria of a genuine festival?

Or just the lunar new year. It's a festivity they celebrate that uses the stars and other heavenly bodies out there to welcome another year ahead of them. Anyway, many odd things happen during this time, one of which perhaps is the way how the Chinese try to sell goods to you for good luck and the foods they sell to you in order to have good heatlh.
I'm pretty sure by now it has lost it sense to the common Chinese folk, but to the businessmen, it hasn't. Then again with the events prior to the lunar new year of 2020, I don't think there's much happening around considering that the 2019 nCoV is still on the loose in China.
On the plus side, bitcoin has been making gains few days aftee the said event starts. It always has been the case every year but it's somewhat different right now. Less festivities are being held and more is being poured into some other things.

=== The whole point is to rack in as much profit as possible, I’m sure this is the one thing that didn’t changed. Is it true many business is gaining a big boost of sales during the events? I think most sales are dealt on the internet, shopping retailer may have a big disadvantage. ===

Festivals could be real, the fake part is the amount of people joining and celebrating because they are forced to and not because they want to.
As in, Chinese government is running the country like a business and they are trying to make so much money that they will rule over the whole earth that, eventually they forget about making their people happy and gathering thousands upon thousands of people in places and paying them or even just forcing them to have fun is not really constitutes as a festival, surely there must be some people who had fun and celebrated because they wanted to as well but we all know how China literally tries to save face against rest of the world by constantly trying to show how "awesome" they are etc, which shows in this festival as well.

It seems to be a very depressing and sombre Chinese New Year this year, with the Corona Virus preventing people from gathering in large groups, in fear of getting infected with the virus. It is also difficult to think of financial prosperity, when you know 1000s of people are getting infected and some already died. In any way, enough of all the depressing thoughts.. let's just concentrate on the rise in the Bitcoin price and all the Chinese people buying Bitcoin to impress their relatives during this time. A lot of people have made difficult decisions to buy in times of economic and political turmoil and they got rewarded for taking that risk and we know investing in Bitcoin carry a lot of risk too.

We all know that if we are talking about the new start of the year, there is also a Chinese new year that we are celebrating the year, and we all know that they are hard-working because they want to earn more money, but even they are celebrating those hard works and throw away the bad luck on their life and business still it depends on their skills to obtain more profit. Also though they are facing a lot of work and struggles in their jobs, still, they have some fun to celebrate their festive.

Well if my grades are plummeting I'd probably also just hire fake parents to talk with the teacher, LOL. The fake GF/BF is sad coz of the actual reason. I've read somewhere that the young have a huge financial burden having to support two sets of parents and grandparents. Some other societies this would be split among siblings but considering most Chinese are single-child, I understand the feeling that they need to hold off marriage until later.

=== This fake activities could be the culprit of giving birth of ura aka (private account) culture among the youth, On twitter, there are few girls who sell themselves. The National Geographic forum of Azeroth (NGA, famous game forum) also has a "mother and child care" section. As a game forum, what is discussed in the parenting board is not "how to add baby in the game", "should human children worship the Tang Dynasty or metabolize" or "what kind of milk powder should prepare for newborn babies?" "Ask for the recommendation of lesbian pants or diapers for girls of one and a half years old". Once "Internet addicted teenagers" have now become parents, opening their third life chapter. On March 12, 2018, an old Warcraft player posted a long post to the netizens on the NGA parenting board about his experience. "15-year-old" site B up host "Chris" instigated "10-year-old" little daughter "sexting", "run away from home", "suicide"Angry Warcraft players are eager to tear up this "Jesus Chris". Site B has issued a series of emergency youth protection measures. This "heartbroken and angry mother" caused a sensation on the Internet, and many people were shocked by the precocity of the children in this article. "Are the children doing well now?" What you may not know, though, is that in another corner of the world, there are also such a group of children between the ages of 10 and 20. They know more than "sexting". It's common for them to take photos, expose sex videos and ask for sex dating online. On December 1, 2017, the Japanese catchwords Awards announced the annual online catchwords on INS, among which "イスタタえ" and "think" won the annual awards. "Yingying" means sharing photos on the social media site instagram (INS for short). Other users can see and interact with each other. This "INS addict" trend almost storm the Japanese Internet last year. If you search the tags of "selfie", "selfie" and "selfie women" on INS, you will find a group of Japanese girls: most of them are junior high school students aged between 10 and 20, who attract a lot of followers by sharing their well-dressed life selfie on social networks. In INS, young, beautiful women who can show their true colour are often very popular. Under the photos, there are often praise comments such as "how nice", "how lovely", "how beautiful" and so on. For young girls, sharing selfie on social networks can be addictive. Now everyone has a mobile phone. Simple beauties and pictures can be easily operated on the mobile phone. Girls who are not confident in their appearance usually can get a more satisfactory and exquisite selfie with a little make up. They often gets a lot of attention and praise when it comes to the Internet. These attention and praise give these ordinary girls feel a sense of achievement. Watching the number of followers go up, and all kinds of praise replies below, it will be a kind of pleasure. In fact, the "degenerated woman" on twitter, the girl who took photos on INS may just want to take photos and attract followers at first. However, if you search INS and twitter for "degenerated women" and "degenerated women", you will see a large number of naked and exposed pictures of young girls. "Degenerated" means "dirty" or "dirty", which is the argot of "uraaka (ura=private aka=account)". In Japan, almost everyone has social accounts like INS, Twitter or line. (similar to Weibo and QQ wechat) in order to manage friends conveniently, or to send something that can't be sent normally, "uraaka" is a common phenomenon. (probably like Chinese female college students, four people in a dormitory have five QQ groups) for example, one person has four or five twitter accounts. The common account number for communicating with classmates and friends is called normal aka, the one for publishing some things is called funny aka, the one for spreading all kinds of negative energy, the one for complaining is called dark aka, and the one for communicating with some acquaintances alone is called “uruaaka” Search "uraaka" tweet on Weibo can be set to be seen only by followers, and attention needs the consent of the tweeter. These accounts all serve very distinctive task. They specifically distribute things that are inconvenient to send in the daily social site and share them with friends on the network. And those women who publish self-made h-photos and self-made sex videos on their own "degenerated m women" are called "degenerated women". These Japanese girls take close-up selfie of their tits, buttocks, private part, all naked curves, and sometimes even part of their own having sex photo. Because they don't expose their face, they don't have to worry about revealing their identity. Japan's 2CH forum once called those "women who take pictures of themselves from a very skillful angle and upload them to the Internet" as "goddess", and the woman from “uraaka” is probably the twitter version of "goddess". From the originally private forum to the open social network, this network subculture has also attracted more attention. In February, Takahashi, a Japanese it journalist who used to be a primary school teacher, reported on the "dangerous" tags on INS and twitter. "I did a survey when I gave a speech in college. 90% of the girls who took part in the speech had their own social triumph. On average, there were about four for each of them." Today's young women play different roles in different social relationships. Why do they have to set up an account to send pictures of themselves? "Because these girls want recognition! If it's an account with few fans, there's not much praise for tweeting daily. However, if you share those indecent photos, you may soon get hundreds of compliments from men. It's a pleasure for these dirty women. " One month's followers are more than 1000. Congratulations on the global “INS addict” trend. Similar "I want to be noticed" mentality seems to explain the emergence of "degenerated women". This is more common on twitter for men than INS, which is dominated by female users. "There are some women who want to expose themselves no matter in what era. However, other SNS are strictly controlled, and Twitter has a high anonymity, a large number of (male) users, and it is quite free to create a small size. Therefore, the girls who want to get attention are concentrated on twitter. "Japanese journalist Wu Songyou Ji interviewed a woman from “uraaka” anonymously and asked her about the opportunity to start her activities. On weekdays, Miss o is an ordinary office worker. In real life, no one knows that she is a "degenerated woman" on twitter. Since the beginning of this year, I've been interested in the photos of women's foremen on twitter. I also hope to be recognized by others in my heart, and I'm very excited to be concerned about this matter. "So I watched the photos and videos submitted by these dirty women, and thought," I'll try anyway, I won't expose my real identity. "So, more and more degenerated women on the Internet these years. There's nothing to do with pictures and texts. In addition to satisfying the demand for recognition, many women in “uraaka” even made deals to sell their own photo albums and work videos to their followers. People who have spare cash look at these pictures of degenerated women, and they will directly send DM in private to help girls with money. (DM, direct mail) it's said that if you think it's a good RT tweet, the tweeter will also select a few lucky viewers to get these photos and videos for free. (RT, retweet, retweet, retweet) just a minute ago, I casually swipe under the relevant tags, refreshing this video of "self Consolation", which later even extended to the scope of online dating, giving birth to another word called "degenerated man". If you search "degenerated man" on twitter, the usual painting style is like this What's more, she wants to experience the pleasure of body and mind: man a: do you really want to experience the happiness of body and mind? Why don't you try with me? Mine is 18 cm in length. “uraaka” women, with photos and videos as bait to attract the “uraaka” men, are looking for the chance to meet him. Women are born to take the initiative in asking for sex dating. When they make a request, there are often hundreds of "degenerated men" who respond privately. Then they swipe left the twitter one by one to find the right person. And such things happen every day, on the Internet, somewhere you don't know. "I'm going to go to the meeting" Note: JK means female high school students, JC means female middle school students. The JK has become a honeypot for the exchange of ID in bulletin boards. Every year in Japan, there are all kinds of Internet users who come out of the police department to meet and be killed, which is not uncommon. Later, because of the self-regulation online, there were fewer victims online, but more and more victims on twitter. There are many students in their teens and 20s on twitter, many of them are ordinary children who usually study hard. They appeal to "want to be noticed" in their hearts, and the popularity of mobile phones and social site makes these dirty H-content accessible. (just like I usually have dirty content) they are like good children in the real life. You can't imagine that they are doing these extreme behaviors in the virtual world. Imagine what happens to the parents of these "girls with uraaka" when they see their children's "uraaka accounts? Probably, it will be as shocked as the mother of the old Warcraft player saw that her 10-year-old daughter was asked to be next "sexting". I can't help but ask: foreign nations are playing, how about domestic? There are so many people selling videos on Weibo. They watch a live game and swipe "wechat + XXX". Now a B site is popping up. Does the girl's mother think it's really over when it's over?

"Life and interest" and "degenerated woman"? RT, -END-, micro-blog: BB Ji Studio WeChat public address: BB Ji
=== It seems to be a very depressing and sombre Chinese New Year this year, with the Corona Virus preventing people from gathering in large groups, in fear of getting infected with the virus. === The epidemic is vastly exaggerated by the mainstream, soon everybody would forget it ever occurred. ===
Also though they are facing a lot of work and struggles in their jobs, still, they have some fun to celebrate their festive.=== The fun part isn’t there, you would treat it as a life challenge or a judgement day anytime, and not to forget its fuelling some sort of sweatshop too, because the workload would be very high during the peak hour. === Well if my grades are plummeting I'd probably also just hire fake parents to talk with the teacher, LOL. === It’s getting rather easy to hire fake gf since the rise of ura aka recently. ===
